Now, I know what you're all thinking. A love triangle? Step brothers? (and who ARE the step brothers??) WHATTT???? 

I can't promise that you'll love this idea, but I certainly hope you will. Anyways, the reason I'm writing this is because all of the NU'EST fics (er, the vast majority) are het, OC, or the band doesn't even have a huge role in the fic. And the ones that ARE slash... well let's  just say that the plots are great and all, but not *my* cup of tea. Meaning, they're just not the fics that I would read. Not bad, just not my style.

By the way, Aron and Minhyun aren't tagged however because they have less of an importance in the plot line.

But here's a small prologue for you guys to keep you hooked while I procrastinate posting chapters. I'm aiming to get a decent amount of the fic written before I start posting so i won't go on an unannounced hiatus every time I don't feel like writing.

"Appa, who are these people?" I asked as I glanced down at the two photographs in my hand. One was of a pouting toddler  who sat by himself on a bench outside of what looked to be a daycare center. The other was of another toddler was who being held in a woman's, presumably his mother's, arms. He had a bright smile and his hands were outstretched over his head as if he had been talking while the picture was being taken.

"Those are the sons of E.G. Corp," my father said straight faced. 

"That new rival company?" I asked as I tilted my head to the side.

My father nodded. "I want you to find them," he announced.

I furrowed my eyebrows. "Find them? But they're like, four years old!"

My father shook his dark hair. "They're your age, Minki. But not much information has been released about President Kim's sons and those were the only pictures I had come across."

I bit the insides of my cheek as I took in the information. "Then how am I supposed to find them?"

"I know that they go to Pledis High School and aren't exactly... loved by many of the teachers there," he stated. Sighing at my blank look, he elaborated. "They're the rebels of the school, and I want you to become friends with them."

"What?" I screeched. Befriend the enemy?

"You're going to transfer to their school and scope out information. Just get to know them and find out what their father has planned. Always stay one step ahead of your enemey, Minki."

I took a quick look at my attire; my semi loose jeans and plaid button down. "But to become friends with rebels, I'll have to become one," I muttered.

"Exactly," my father nodded.

"Appa!" I gaped.

"From now on, you'll go as Choi Ren not Minki, and you're going to become Pledis' new bad boy," he said, holding his hands out in the air as if he were reading an article title.

"But don't they know what I look like? I've been in a lot of articles about our company" I said in challenge, trying to find any way out of the situation. "They're not going to talk to me if they know I'm your son. I'm sure their own father has warned them to be careful, hence why they don't even have their photos in newspapers or online."

"So you'll dye your hair," my father shrugged.

"Bwoh?" I cried, my hands coming up to my brown locks. 

"Blonde might be a color they won't recognize you with. And maybe extentions." He mubbled as he eyed my head.

I sighed and slowly brought my hands down. "Do you even know their names?" I asked reluctantly. Once my father made up his mind, there was a very slight chance he'd change it. This seemed to be one of those cases.

"Kim Jonghyun and Kang Dongho."
