HAZZY BEANIE {part one}

One Shots Over The Rainbow
Yvonne The Mad Girl That Courts Yunho!

“I will get you to like me no matter what!”

“HAH! You and me? Never! * coughmaybecough *”

“AHHHH! THERE'S JUNG YUNHO!” Mad girls screamed on the top of their lungs and ran towards him.

Yvonne sat there on the swings and watched girls fainting just at the sight of him. She was new in the city and nothing made sense to her. All she could do was sip her can of lemonade and ask, “Whose he?” She pointed at the tanned guy that was being surrounded by an angry mob.

“Don't you know?” Amy stopped swinging. “He's the kingka of the whole entire school. Girls go crazy over him.” She rolled her dark brown eyes. Yvonne started to get up from the swing. Amy stopped her with her arm. “Don't bother. You'll only get smothered.”

“Oh.” Yvonne sadly watched Yunho leave and sat back on her slightly moving swing. If she hadn't followed the nine year old's advice, who knew what might have become of her. But then again, that was only six years ago.

Yvonne, now eighteen, coolly leaned against her locker. Things have changed since back then. She used to watch Yunho from a safe distance and now she's practically right next to him. No, she wasn't one of those crazy fan girls. Yes, she was now one of the people who tries courting with him but always ends up failing. She kept her hopes high— not to mention she courted him over and over again. No matter how much or how long it will take, she will still keep trying.

Yvonne, still leaning against her locker, carried her backpack with one shoulder and chewed on her lemon flavored gum. It was the closest thing she had compared to lemonade. Plus, it made her look cool... in front of Yunho that is.

“Hey.” Yvonne smiled as she turned to the side to face Yunho. It was like this every morning. Yvonne bothered Yunho while he unpacked and then he mutters a 'Hey.' and then leave for class. But, this morning was different from the rest.

“You can stop trying to court me.” He looked up and flung his backpack over his shoulder. “I will NEVER go out with you, just so you know.” He smirked and walked his usual route.

Yvonne glared as he walked away and disappeared around the corner. She slammed her locker shut and muttered, “I WILL get you someday.. just watch me, Jung Yunho.” She spitted her yellowing-turning-white gum into the trash can. “Just watch.”

-

She sat down for social studies class in room 306. This was the only class she didn't have with Yunho. Although she had other classes with him, her twin brother Choi Minho had EVERY class with her. She could only court him outside of school or during the mornings and lunch breaks.

Yvonne ignored her twin, who was next to her. She took out her heavy books and pens. The old lady with big, thick glasses walked in with her usual frown and wrinkles.

“Get back in your seats! Class starts now!” She sounded like a parrot, squawking. “Everyone read from pages 500 to 600. Starting now!” She set her timer than was hanging from her neck. She even had a whistle! The students groaned in defeat. This was the worst class to start a school day with. Everyone started turning pages and scribbling on their worksheets.

“Vonnie Nuna.” Minho whispered and threw a piece of paper at Yvonne. (They were twins but Yvonne was one or two seconds older.) The teacher was too busy sleeping to wake up. Yvonne opened the note.

Minnie:
wats the answer 4 q #53 ?
=
Vonnie:
how am I supposed 2 kno? Im only on q #15!! you cheater -_-

Yvonne folded up the piece of paper so it was super small and aimed it towards Minho's head.

'BULL'S EYE!' Inside her head she did a mini victory dance when it hit him on the head, hard. She smirked as he winced in pain. Yep, this was how the Choi household was like. It didn't matter whether it was inside or outside the house. They were always bombarding each other with their deadly pranks. Thus, they were nicknamed the prankster trio. Yvonne, Minho, and the twin's older brother Siwon.

“Ow. What was that for?” Minho hissed, causing the teacher to stir in her sleep. Everybody in the class glared at him. All he did was roll his eyes and flip his paper over as he completed the sheet.

-

Everyone sighed as the bell finally rang. They all tried to hurry out the door but the old teacher hurried to block the exit. They all had confused looks glued on their faces.

“That was only the first bell! Get back in your seats!” She squawked. Students mumbled and as soon as they got back into their seats, the bell rang.

-

“Finally!” Yvonne stumbled out the door.

“And to think socials studies wouldn't end.” Minho slammed his locker shut and stuffed books for math class in his light tan messenger bag. “Right, Vonnie?” He ly to find thin air. “Umm....” He shrugged and walked towards math, five minutes early.

-

Yvonne sneaked into the girls' restroom with her brown paper lunch bag. She looked left and right, and front and back. “Geez, I feel like a spy.” She walked into the vacant, perfume smelling room and opened her paper bag. “Sandwich... candy... money …. AHA!” She took out one of the two-sunny yellow cans. She bended the metal tab forward and . . . .

Crack.

She downed her can of lemonade and threw it in the empty trash bin. No one, especially someone like her, could survive a day without lemonade. She sighed in content with her lemonade filled tummy and skipped to her next class : math.

-

Math was probably her most liked class of all. Two reasons : the teacher didn't give work and she let them do whatever they wanted inside the air conditioned room. Even if it broke one or two of the school's rules. Yvonne sighed. She wished every class and every school was like this.

Her chin was rested in the palm of her left hand and her right hand repeatedly tapped the desk. Yunho was right next to her, chatting with some of his friends.... including Minho. Yvonne suddenly felt a sharp poke or jab at her upper back.

“Wassup, lemonade queen?” Yvonne turned around to see a capped Jaejoong. He was trying to act all 'gangsta'... again. He had a silly smile crazy glued on his face.

“Hi.” Yvonne waved in slow motion.

“Yo so borin'” Jaejoong pouted at his failed slang attempt and walked away. Yvonne yawned and buried her face on her arms, sleeping. She started wondering off to dreamland— enjoying every forty-five minutes of it.
