Kim Yongsun loves herself too much to care about anyone else. At least that’s what people say about her, and they are in fact correct, but not about everything.

Because she cares about her family. And she cares about her Byulie.

She didn’t know when it happened. Or why. Maybe it's because Moonbyul has always been a constant in her life. Maybe because they’ve been friends for too long, that it's so easy for Yongsun to think that Moonbyul belongs to her.

But it didn’t matter, the important thing is that she gets Moonbyul, because Yongsun always gets what she wants.

But then again, Moonbyul is her only exception.

And she wants to be mad at her best friend for making her feel this way, but she physically can’t do that. So she’s going to project all her hatred to Wheein, she decided, because it's easier that way. Wheein makes an easy target.

She doesn’t hate Jung Wheein overall.

But she hates Wheein now, especially now, because she is threatening to take Yongsun's precious Moon Byulyi away from her; she’s not going down without a fight.

------------------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------------------

“You can’t be jealous.” Moonbyul said, like she’s convincing Yong, but in reality, she was just convincing herself. “Right?”

Yongsun couldn’t help but roll her eyes. She didn’t expect Byul to be so in denial about the situation.

Considering that this wasn’t even the first time this topic had been brought up in their conversation.

Yongsun's still pissed but her facial features became softer just thinking about what she's about to confess.

“I like you, Byulie.” Yongsun finally admitted out loud. She was done playing games.

“I like you too.” Moonbyul said matter-of-factly. “That’s why we’re friends.” She chuckles as if Yongsun was being silly.

Now, Moonbyul is outright playing dumb, and Yongsun is aware of it. She doesn't like it one bit.

She’s not going to let Moonbyul get away with it that easily.

“I am jealous because I like you, Byulie.”

Moonbyul was taken aback, because it was the sincerest Yongsun has ever been, and she sounded so vulnerable; that even Yongsun herself was surprised.

No snarky remarks or well-thought insults just to hide the feelings she’s trying to keep to herself.

She was sincere and most importantly: sober.

But Yongsun wasn’t being completely honest, because when she said she likes Moonbyul; she already knew that she love her.

And even though Moonbyul wants Yongsun to believe otherwise, she already knows this too.

The silver-haired girl opened , but words are stuck in .

This is not how she’d expected this to go down.

She expected Yongsun to be in rage for contradicting her decision about Wheein, for not getting what she wants, heck, she expected Yongsun to randomly decide to be extra y today.

Moonbyul laughed humorlessly.

This all seemed too familiar, but this time they were both sober, they had no excuse for the feelings that just escaped their mouth.

This is all too familiar; but this time it was Yongsun's turn to confess and Moonbyul was the one to brush it off with a laugh.

But Yongsun's too proud to let Byul have so much power over her, she’s not going to face these feelings alone, she decided, so she kissed her, pulling her close.

Knocking Moonbyul off her composure.

Yongsun leads Moonbyul to the restroom counter. Her lips, not leaving Byul's. And when Byul felt the counter against her back, she grabs Yongsun by the waist and lifts her up and spins her to reverse their position so that Yong would end up seated at the counter.

The kiss was rough, forceful even, but still...it was passionate. It's their first time kissing without the liquor courage. Unlike their previous kisses, they have no excuse to shrug it off right after. But they didn't care. They're both going to savor this moment.

Moonbyul wasn’t calm, and neither was her heart.

Yongsun felt like her heart is on fire.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Despite and in spite of the kiss, Yongsun and Moonbyul didn’t talk the next day.

As much as Moonbyul wanted to, the pink-haired girl isn’t making it easy for her. It was so unlike Yongsun to hide from her like this, she’d much prefer to argue with her and scream at each other if necessary.

Fight fire with fire.

But Yongsun obviously wants a cold war and Moonbyul seems to be losing because she misses her best friend, so much. And it’s only been a day.

------------------------------------------------------------

------------------------------------------------------------

“Jung Wheein!” Hyejin called out as she practically dragged her best friend to a secluded lunch table.

Wheein furrowed her eyebrows at her friend in confusion, wondering what she did wrong.

“Did you or did you not just kiss Moon Byulyi at the Rainbow Bridge Vixens tryouts yesterday?” she asked dramatically as she emphasized every single word.

“Uhm…she kissed me?” Wheein couldn’t help but smile reminiscing the event. Everything that happened was still so, so fresh in her mind. And somehow the ghost of Moonbyul’s lips on hers is haunting her since the moment they pulled away from each other.

“Wheein! Do you know what that means?” he asked.

No, as a matter of fact, Wheein doesn’t know. Because its been about 19 hours and 35 minutes since Moonbyul kissed her (yes, she’s been counting), but Moonbyul haven’t addressed it until now, and maybe she won’t because it might not be as big of a deal to her as it is to Wheein.

Moonbyul might even forget that it happened. In fact, Moonbyul might even forget Wheein's name next week and it wouldn’t come off as a surprise, who knows? Because it’s not like Wheein is anything special anyways; not when Moonbyul already has someone as special as Kim Yongsun in her life.

“It means that I’m a Rainbow Bridge Vixen now, Hyejin.” She answers instead, because there are just some thoughts better left unsaid.

“No, Wheein. It means that you’re gonna be the schools’ headline for God knows how long. And I just know Moonbyul's insecure fans might hear about it and do everything in their po

I didn't comment before but gosh I'm so invested in this fic lol.

Damn, I wouldn't want to be in Byul's position, or any of the girls actually.

Chapter 7: I'm always rooting for Wheebyul endgame in your love triangle stories. I was going to say that Wheein seems more transparent and guileless than others in this story, but after getting hurt she's going to learn how to put up a front too

Chapter 7: Moonbyul, you better make up your mind. At first I am rooting for moonsun but ended up being torn between Moonsun and Wheebyul. They all deserve to be loved. It's up to Byul who is worth risking for. At the end of the day, Hyejin is right. Byul must only choose one and be ready to lose the other one. She can't have the best of both worlds. Its a hard choice between the unexpected love and a long time love.

Chapter 6: Chapter 6: this story is so good and i love your writing. but the way this story goes like yongsun character being mean and ruin everything for byul while wheein is kind main character vibe, i can see this story will ended with wheebyul being endgame….. and i can’t help to feel confused and upset because i thought this is moonsun au at first due to the cover photo… :(

Chapter 6: Oh noo. Byul is now caught between Wheein and Yongsun, the two women she love dearly. Solar doesn't give up easily without a fight but she doesn't want Byul to get hurt. I have questions. Will Yongsun help Byul in fixing her relationship with Wheein or that will only make things worse? How can Wheein trust Moonbyul again after what she heard that night and how can Moonbyul fix this mess. Such a messss. 😭
