It wasn't that long until the home landline rang, waking the light sleeper Lu Han.

Furrowing his brows, he looked towards the bed-side table; checking the time. It read 11:12 pm.

The phone was ringing, so the older got up from the bed cautiously, but of course the younger was a heavy sleeper.

"Hello?" rubbing his eyes with his left hand, he yawned while answering the phone call. 

"This is Sooyoung's friend,from the Seoul hospital." and all Lu Han could hear were those horrible words, that he didn't wanted to hear. Ever.

---

"He deserves to know it, right?" the older thought. Biting his lower lip, the older male made his decision.

"Se Hun. Se Hun, please, wake up! Se Hun, Se Hun." the older brunette tried to wake the younger, but to no avail. At this point, the older started to panic. "S-Se H-Hun. P-Please wake up."  Pushing and calling the younger's name for about 3 minutes, yet the younger didn't even budged to wake up.

"What should I do? W-What should I do." running a hand through his caramel-brown locks, Lu Han panicked, then someone else came to his mind. 

Taking his phone out, he checked through his contact list, ending up with only one person; Jong-In. The one he trusted the most and the one that could help him.

"Hello?" Lu Han heard the tired voice of his best friend after waiting for approximately 8 seconds.

"H-Hello. J-Jong-in" the older of the two tried to keep his voice stable, but to no avail.

"Hey, calm down Lu Han, ssh.. I'm here." with the calm soothing voice, Jong-In managed to calm the older. Lu Han nodded his head and breathed out.

When Jong-In thought that Lu Han had calmed down enough, he asked cautiously. "Now tell me what's wrong?"

Exhaling a long breath, Lu Han's gaze turned towards the younger, who was still on his deep slumber. "Umma got in an accident."

"What?!" Jong-In shouted, earning a 'Jong-Innie, aren't you asleep yet?' from his mother. "What?!" this time the younger whispered.

"Yeah.. I just got a phone call from the hospital, nearby her work place. Umma's friend called, saying she has been in an accident an-and-" his words choked out, as he tried to share the information.

"Lu Han, where's Se Hun?" Jong-In asked, curious what the other boy was doing.

"He's asleep." with that, Jong-In started to curse at the younger male.

"No, seriously! What's wrong with that kid? His brother and umma needs him, but he's enjoying his sleep! Damn, if I were you, I would have poured a bucket full of water down his pretty face!" Lu Han couldn't help but chuckle at the comment thrown by his best friend, after all, it symbolised that the younger cared for him.

"Listen, Se Hun's just tired, so let him be, i don't want him to disturb...you know and besides... If he knows it, then he'll be worried too and-"

"So you're saying that brat is more important then me!" 

"No. No, obviously you're my no.1, so-" Lu Han couldn't help but relax on this atmosphere with his friend. It comforted him, making him forget about the previous tension.

"Are you alright now?" Jong-In asked from the other line. Lu Han smiled contently and replied with a "neh". Jong-In just smiled, lying down on his bed and looking up at the ceiling.

"You know Lu Han, I wish that my mum would adopt you instead and we'll live together, as a perfect pair of brothers." thinking about it, Jong-In smiled even wider-if that's even possible-

"Well guess what, you'll never live with Lu Han." no, it wasn't Lu Han's voice. It was Se Hun on the other line. 

Furrowing his brows, Jong-In looked up his caller ID; making sure it was Lu Han that called him. Hesitantly, he asked "Is that you, Se Hun?"

"Bingo. Now if you excuse us, good night- oh let me tell you one more thing: Don't call someone at night and start saying those stupid cheesy lines." with that, Se Hun hung up, leaving a stunned Jong-In.

"You know... I was talking." Lu Han fidgeted under the intense gaze the younger was throwing at him.

While the older was talking with Jong-In, Se Hun stirred awake, got up, snatched the phone, advised Jong-In and hanged up. Simple.

"You know I was sleeping" the younger replied, facing the plain blue wall in the side. Lu Han sighed and faced the other way as well (his back faced against Se Hun's)

"It was me who called him." there was no reply, so he carried on. "Umma's friend called. She said umma is in hospital and she is there to take care of her." Lu Han felt the bed shift a bit. 

"W-Why is she t-there?" he heard the younger ask, his voice laced with worry.  Exhaling a long breath, the older tried to regain his confidence, so he won't be the weakling; so he won't break down in front of the younger.

"In an a-accident.When she tried to save a child" the reply was merely audible. The older felt no reply. Curious and scared, the older slowly shifted himself; so he could be the one facing the younger's back.

"I-I want to go." Lu Han stayed still. "I-I want to g-go." the younger repeated, this time with a bit of force.

"S-Se Hun, d-don't w-worry, e-everything will be a-alright." the older's voice was itself unsure.

"Take me there. N-now." Se Hun's voice, determined.

"Se Hun." and there was silence. "Umma is alright...she escaped with some minor injuries-"

"Why did you called Jong-In?" Lu Han gulped. "Why?" the younger asked again.

"I-I"  Se Hun slowly turned around, facing the older's face. 

The room was dark, of course, but due to the current weather, little light was still present; peeking out through the open window.

"I-I" the older hesitated again, his eyes roaming elsewhere but not meeting the younger's.

"Is he that important that you don't even tell your brother about his own mother's accident?" yes, Se Hun was right. 

As straight forward the younger was, as straight, the question caught Lu Han off guard.  "I take your silence as a yes then" with that Se Hun got up, biting his lower lip; fighting the urge to throw nasty comments at his brother's best friend.

"N-No! Se Hun that's not true..." mumbling those words, Lu Han got up as well, tugging onto the hem of Se Hun's shirt. "I-I tried to wake you up, but then I g-gave up... Cause I t-thought y-you'll w-worry too much and..." 

Taken aback from the reply, the younger furrowed his brows. "Do you know how much of an idiot you are?" Lu Han slowly shook his head.

Flicking his fingers on the delicate skin of Lu Han's forehead, Se Hun threw a satisfied look when Lu Han pouted and rubbed his injured area. "I would be worried obviously, but that doesn't mean you should  hide those kind of things, especially when it's about umma."

Lu Han looked down, ashamed. "And I call myself older."

"Yah" placing his hand on Lu Han's chin, the younger made sure that both of them were now at eye-levels. "Even if I get worried, like right now... I know you can calm me down. Like you did with your song and if you're the one who needs someone, then I'm here to calm you down... With my kiss" pointing towards the older's chest with his other hand, he smiled genuinely towards the older male for the first time, earning a blush from Lu Han.

After a few minutes, the older started to sing a Chinese song; calming the worried Se Hun, while the younger slowly pulled the older's t-shirt up in the harmony and leaned in to peck that special area. 

This was their way of comforting each other.

"Let's go to the hospital early tomorrow" Lu Han suggested, snuggling under the covers and forgetting the 'personal space' between him and the younger male.

Se Hun lazily nodded his head, which was snuggled onto the older's chest; burrowing his face and inhaling the familiar scent. Lu Han just chuckled and ran a hand through the younger's soft dark brown locks.

"Good night, Se Hun-ah" he wished before exhaustion took over his body, but before he went to his wonderland, he heard a soft "Night hyung".

'DId he really called me his hyung?'

"Aish... I know why you boys came here" both brother's mother said, chewing on the freshly cooked kimchi noodles, made by Lu Han.

"You know you should be careful." Lu Han said, placing his bag on the white marble floor.

"I know Lu Hannie." their mother reassured her child, patting the empty space beside her, signalling them to sit on each side.

"Umma..." Se Hun trailed off.

"Aigoo, Se Hunnie~ I'm fine, see." pinching the younger's cheek, his mother cooed. "Now I can't take care of you both. My sons have sprained their limbs and I am not discharged yet" with a cheeky grin, their mother hugged them.

The atmosphere was warm and bright.

When Se Hun was out to the restroom, Lu Han made sure to give full attention to their mother

. "Lu Hannie." the older stopped fiddling with his mother's fingers. Looking up to meet the older's loving gaze.

"neh umma."

"You know why I saved that child?" Lu Han shook his head, not knowing the reason.

"because he reminded me of you" Lu Han was confused.

"I don't understand." After all, Sooyoung suddenly brought this conversation up.

Smiling warmly at her son, "the child who I saved reminded me of you... When I first saw you at the orphanage, you looked so sad, scared and distant... I wanted to know the reason why. That child stood there, scared and somewhat... distant." Lu Han now understood why the older chose him...instead of all those other kids, but one thing confused him.

"Why...are you saying it now?" from the question, his mother held his hands firmly; squeezing it lightly, as if signalling not to let go.

"When I was at work... Y-Your r-real m-mother came t-to me" the brunette was shocked.  "S-She wants to meet you."

 After 12 years of abandonment, she finally comes.

"D-Do you want to g-go?"

Little did they know, that Se Hun was already outside, listening to their hidden   conversation.  So many questions made their way inside of his brain.

'Is he going to go? Go away from our lives... Leaving me alone?'

A/N- I know there's so little HunHan, but on the positive side, this is the start of their 'changed' relationship. And by the way, if you got confused on what kid their umma was talking about, then here's an explanation: Sooyoung(their mother) saved a kid who was nearly hit by a car. She saved him because she thought about Lu Han (how she first saw him XD) just before the whole incident, Lu han's real mum came XD if that helps..
