We arrived at the house a few minutes later. As we climbed up the steps, there was a sticky note pasted on to the door.

Your dress is on your bed. Look pretty. Mommy would have loved that. If Nichkhun is with you, bring him along. His tux is right next to your dress. Me and Wooyoung will be waiting.

Dad.

Sighing I took the note off and went inside. Only when I reached the banister of the stairs did I notice that Nichkhun was still outside. ''Khun...'', I called out to him. I saw his head perk up and come inside the house hesitantly. 

I bit the inside of my cheek and and gripped the banister tighter. ''You don't want to go with me, do you?'', I said looking away.

''No... it's not that. It's just that my mom's also gone.'', he said holding back tears. ''Hey~ I didn't know.'', I said running a finger over his cheek to wipe off a tear which had escaped from the pool in his eyes.

''It's okay.'', he managed to choke out.

''Do you want to visit your mom when we go?'', I said caressing his cheek. He nodded lightly and I started walking up the stairs tugging him with me. As soon as we reached my room, I ran inside and handed him his tux. ''Go change in Dad's room, okay?''

He opened his mouth to ask where it was and I quickly replied, ''First door down the hall.'' He smiled gratefully at me and ran.

I slipped it on and put on some light make-up after I had put my hair in a messy bun. I walked out to notice that Nichkhun still wasn't outside. Curiously, I turned the doorknob only to see Nichkhun. With his back turned.

Shirtless.

My hand flew to my mouth and I stifled a gasp. I tilted my head to one side as he was putting on his shirt while I admired his perfectly-sculptured back. Biting my lip, I was about to say something when Nichkhun's grumbling stopped me. 

''Darn these buttons. Why do you have to be so incredibly small?!'', he grunted. 

I walked over to him and tapped his shoulder. ''Can I?''

He blinked a few times before nodding. I started buttoning his shirt while his eyes were locked on mine. I was on the middle button when his washboard-abs caught my eyes. Lip trembling, I hesitantly touched the firm muscles. 

In return, his hands wound up on my forearm, sliding his fingers up and down in a teasing way. I shivered from the feeling it brought me. 

I snapped out of the feeling and stepped back a few steps. ''Y-You can do the rest of the buttons, can't you?'', I stuttered. He chuckled and nodded lightly while I rushed out of the room.

THAT, was too unexpected, Song. Didn't know you had it in you.

His shirt was open. What do you expect?

...Right. I would have done the same, only a teeny weeny bit lower.

O-O CURSE YOU, MY ERTED MIND!

After escaping the room, I started hyperventilating for no reason.

Quietly, though. Very quietly.

''I know this isn't the best way to start a conversation, but  I want to know.'', Nichkhun said, breaking the silence while his eyes were glued to the road and his hands gripped the steering wheel.

Staring out the window, I knew what he wanted to know. 

Although it pains me to bring back those terrible memories, it would be better to tell someone about it. Right?

''My mom had stomach cancer. She thought that it was mild at first. But one day she started coughing up blood all over the place... and she was rushed to the hospital. I was only nine.''

Taking a few deep breaths, I continued.

''She was charged at the hospital and we were hoping for the day she'd return back home, me and my Dad. She spent only one Christmas with us. And it was in the hospital.''

''4 years passed since she was charged. One day she stopped breathing and the doctors were frantic. They installed an oxygen tube in and kept her breathing until my Dad arrived. He loved her too much to let her go. She kept telling him to tell the doctors to turn the machine off. When he saw the pleading look in her eyes, he told them to.''

My lip started trembling at what was going to come next. Nichkhun's hand wound up on mine and gave it a light squeeze as if to continue. I looked at him and noticed that tears had pooled in his eyes.

''She was dead when I arrived. Dad was sobbing at her side, clutching her lifeless hand as if his life depended on it. As soon as I saw her, I started screaming. He had tried to calm me down, but I was too stubborn to admit she was gone. After that, I was never the same. I despised music as it was my only hobby with my mom.''

''I never loved anyone as much as I loved Mom. But Wooyoung and Dad helped me get through it all. I was my bubbly self when I was 15. There was only one guy that I had dated, but he broke up with me and left. I swore to myself that I wouldn't fall for another guy again. That's why Wooyoung and Dad were surprised.''

There. Finished. 

''Are you sure you won't fall in love with another guy again?'', Nichkhun's voice shook a bit while asking the question.

I was taken aback by the sudden question. My hand was lifted to his lips as a kiss was planted on the back. I blushed at the sudden action and looked away, taking my hand back.

''I won't.'' I said, my voice matching Nichkhun's. 

And I swear, I think I heard his sigh.
