''OWWIEE~ THAT HURTS!'', Nichkhun cried in my ear. I scoffed at him and kept trying to heal his wounds. ''If you had convinced me enough to get into McDonald's this wouldn't have happened.'' I muttered.

''Yah!'', he said throwing a cushion from the couch at my face. With my amazing super awesome ninja skills, I made the pillow boomerang back into his face. ''I tried, remember? Vic-ahjumma was too stubborn to get into McDonalds.'', he said playing with my feet. 

''HEY! My feet is a no-touchy zone.'', I said taking my feet back and applying some cream onto his face gently. He stood still and watched my every move. 

''Stop staring at me. Please'', I asked sincerely. He tore his gaze from me and I let out a sigh of relief. 

How can anyone work seriously with him staring with those... orbs?!

The sound of his stomach grumbling woke me from my weird thought. ''S-Sorry.'', he apologized while sitting up. Chuckling, I placed the first-aid kit on the coffee table and walked to the kitchen. 

''Ahjummaa~ the wounds will heal right?'', he said tentatively. ''Duh. Of course it will.'', I replied with an eyeroll. I opened the door of the refridgerator and saw a blue iced cupcake inside a intircately designed box. Smirking to myself, I snatched it and took a huge bite. 

''Aren't you gonna give some to me?'', I heard his pouty-voice from behind me. I turned around and arched my eyebrow to which he smirked back to. ''No~'', I said my mouth full of cupcake.

He chuckled and I yelped as his arms wrapped around my waist to pull me closer to him. His thumb ran across my lips and wiped a bit of icing off them which he off his thumb. ''You still have icing on your lips, ahjumma~'', he said tutting.

His face inched closer with each second. His lips almost touched mine when the door swung open and Taecyeon and a girl walked in. Nichkhun jumped back at the sudden intrusion. I just kept eating my cupcake with a triumphant smile on my face. Nichkhun's ears went red and he looked like he was cursing under his breath.

''Sorry to interrupt your lovey-dovey scene, but Yoona wanted to meet Nichkhun.'', Taecyeon blurted, his arm wrapping around Yoona's waist.

''Eh? I'm actually glad you did. He would have made a grave mistake kissing his ahjumma~'', I smirked at Khun and put some icing on the tip of his nose.

I was about to walk towards the garden when Yoona's question startled me. ''Are you Nichkhun-sshi's girlfriend?''

''Bwoh?! Ani ani ani! I'm not.'', I said in a hurry. Yoona just nodded in response and winked at Nichkhun who was still gazing my way. ''Yah! Paboya~ Close your mouth. You're gonna catch flies.'', I said before walking down the stone footpath to the garden.

''She's amazing isn't she?'', Nichkhun dreamily said to Taecyeon. 

Scoffing, Taecyeon walked over to him and slapped the back of his head. ''OW! Hey~ what was that for?'', Nichkhun said rubbing the sore spot on his head.

''You're a pathetic.'', Taecyeon answered. ''And you're moronic'', Nichkhun retorted.

''Ouch.'', Taecyeon said slumping into Yoona's arms while holding his not-so-broken heart. She giggled cutely and placed a kiss on his forehead, making Taecyeon smile at her like an idiot.

''Don't get lovey-dovey in here~ This ain't our apartment, Taec.'', Nichkhun reminded him. ''Geez, what has gotten your pants in a twist?'', Taecyeon cried, interwining his fingers with Yoona's.

''THIS.'', Nichkhun pointed at his nose.

''If you didn't come here I could have...'', he trailed off. 

''Could have done what? Kiss Victoria?'', Taecyeon smirked. Nichkhun's ears turned red and he covered them up quickly before following Victoria's footsteps.

''That was a bit mean, wasn't it?'', Yoona said to Taecyeon. He just shook his head and lead Yoona out of the house, chuckling.

Sunshine poured into the garden like liquid gold. I saw several birds in the birdbath, getting soaked and eating the food which was put out for them by my Dad. 

I was in the hanging chair again. The cupcake wrapper was next to me, folded into a neat little square. Crumbs were stuck to it, but I didn't care.

''Victoria~~'', I heard someone yell. Peeking through the entrance of the hanging chair, I saw Nichkhun, his eyes squinted in the sunlight. Sighing, I yelled back, ''I'm in here!''

It took him a while to find me. I don't blame him, though. The hanging chair was behind some shrubs anyway.

He peeked through the opening and smiled at me. ''Why are your ears red, pabo?'', I said smirking.

''Taecyeon teased me.'', he said covering his ears some more. I chuckled. ''He is your best friend, Khun'', I said patting his cheek. 

''Yeah.. yeah...'', he muttered. I kept chuckling and scurried out of the hanging chair. ''Could you take me somewhere?'', I asked shielding my eyes from the sunlight.

''Okay. Where?'', he asked, the redness in his ears fading with each second. 

''The mall.'', I said smiling.

''Why are we here, exactly?'', Nichkhun asked a few feet behind me. Shopping bags of many different colours and sizes were draped over his arm.

I froze for a second at his sudden question. My heart started beating faster and I gulped several times. My breathing became heavy and my knees were starting to turn to jelly.

Victoria~

''Huh?'', I said to the empty air infront of me. A few feet from me stood a woman. Brown hair fell past her shoulders in soft curls. Her face didn't have a single flaw. Her nose was straight and pointed in a soft angle. Her deer-like eyes were a soft brown which I could realize even from a distance.

Her lips were curved up into a smile which I had tried my best to remember. It was her. Her.

''M-Mom?'', I choked out, my vision getting blurry with the tears. I walked over to the figure only to find it disappear before my very eyes. 

''Victoria~'', I felt Nichkhun's arms wrap around me, soothing me. I cried into his chest and clinged onto him harder. ''I saw her, Nichkhun..'', I said in between sobs.

''Who, Vic?'', his arms never left me. 

''My Mom...'', I said, crying again. Nichkhun brushed my tears away with his thumb and lifted my chin up. ''Tell your Dad.'', he said softly. I shakily took my phone out of my pocket and unlocked it.

Sniffing a bit, I called Dad.

''Hello?''

''Dad. It's me.'', I said shaking even with Nichkhun's arms around me. 

''What is it?''

''Let's go visit Mom, Dad'', I said letting my tears flow. Nichkhun kept brushing them away but they were constant. They never stopped flowing down my cheeks.

There was a pause, and I knew that he was crying too. How can anyone not, when the love of their life has disappeared from this realm and moved onto the next?

''Okay... Meet me at the cemetery.... And be strong.'' Dad said before hanging up.

I bit my lip and brushed my tears away some more. Nichkhun offered me a tissue which I gratefully took. I blew my nose and threw it away, while trying to forget what I saw a few moments ago.

We exited the mall with Nichkhun a few feet behind me, struggling to keep up with all the shopping bags. He loaded them into the car and slid into the drivers' seat. His hand reached out and took mine, enveloping it in a tight, but gentle, embrace. 

I let him hold my hand for who knows how long until he spoke. 

''It's gonna be okay. I know it is.'', he said softly. He let the engine roar to life while I tried to keep my tears intact.

Sorry if I didn't put THAT much emotion in it. I was trying my best. I was even listening to Infinite's Paradise over and over again.
