“Jeong! Eun! Ji!” Her manager yelled. “Tomorrow is the concert, and you should be rehearsing, now tell me why you are not in the practice room!” With annoyed by her manager’s nagging, Eunji moved her phone a bit further way, laying lazily on the sofa while observing Chorong who was preparing breakfast at the kitchen.

“Jieun and I had been rehearsing for days, can we just rest for today?”

A heavy sigh was left out from the other line. “No, I know what you have been to for the past few weeks, and I think you know the consequences better than me, if the higher-ups or worst if is the paparazzi found out before them.”

Spring, they started dating each other; Since then, once in a while, Eunji would update about her hangouts with Chorong on her SNS, and her fans found them cute, not shocking, as Chorong was her senior working in the same company. Reading those reaction, Eunji became bolder, braver than the marines. Starting from a normal picture of coffee Chorong brewed for her to the latest which was having homecooked meal together, but along with Bomi, acted a smoke bomb to divert others’ attention.

Park Hyunsoo, JEJ’s manager since debut, always accompanies them wherever they go. Over the years, he formed close tie with the duo, and treated them as his own younger sisters. Beginning of summer, Eunji started to crushing on Chorong’s house, she was there almost every time when she didn’t have any schedules or after done her weekend radio recording, which mean, very often, that she had her own toothbrush in the bathroom, until recently she had to stay overnight rehearsing.

Put her phone aside, walk towards Chorong who was at the kitchen, frying her favorite eggs. Eunji’s hands found her way, wrapping around her slim waist, head rested on Chorong’s shoulder, and took a deep breath taking in the familiarity of her sweet scent. “Aren’t you too much for skipping the rehearsal a day before the concert?”

Chorong never thought Eunji would be that clingy. The more Eunji and Chorong know each other, the more they know they are nothing like each other.

Eunji is the type of person that has no problem openly expressing her love to Chorong.

Chorong would constantly finds ‘Good morning, my love.’ message along with some heart emojis, on her inbox when she wakes up in the morning, or Eunji would abruptly tell her “Rong-ah, I love you.” out of nowhere, or when Eunji was on Chorong’s queen-sized bed, she would cling on her the entire night.

On the contrary, Chorong is different from Eunji.

Chorong is the passive type, really find it hard to say the word ‘love’. It’s not that the love she’s giving is lesser, it just that she is shy. But she would let Eunji know by her own ways, just like preparing her favorite breakfast or lunchbox, give all her attentions to Eunji when listening her complaining her day, come up with both loose and concrete plans for things they can do together indoor, and Chorong will always try to make every moment with Eunji is special.

Magnets with different poles attract to each other. The more the different they knew they were, the closer they feel they want to be with each other.

They did fight. Mostly about Eunji’s bold attempts, trying to hold her hands in public or even attempted to kiss her. Eunji won’t mind playing the fire, just to show the love for her to the world, Eunji argued but Chorong always ended up winning the argument by a simple reminder, but then lost to her sad puppy face. Then the couple would end up make out in Chorong’s room.

“Will you be there tomorrow?”

“Yes. Only with Bomi. After all, it will be a bad idea if all the girls gathered together. The spotlight will be on us instead of JEJ.” Chorong joked. “Stop pestering around here. Have your breakfast then you better be going for rehearsal, kiddo.”

Hours before the concert starts, many fans had arrived to the hall, waiting patiently outside with their smiling faces. The fanclub leaders giving out the banner, making sure everyone memorized the fan chant for the fan project. Chorong and Bomi entered 30 minutes before the concert starts. Of course, they were approached by the fanclub leader, receiving banner and memos about the secret event. And for sure, the news about the duo’s appearance in JEJ’s concert was already spread online.

The light dimmed, indicated the show has begun; the hall filled with aqua-color fanlight as the fans started to scream when two girls appeared on the stage, the excitement had been exploded in the hall.

Many of their popular songs, such as, That Spring, BBIBBI, was performed and the fans sing along to their song, not forgetting the fan chants; It’s like the whole stadium was performing together. Her eyes captured her, Eunji found the petite figure in the aqua-colored waves. Waving the lightstick cutely, as she sings along.

Next few stages were special stages which JEJ would perform songs for their upcoming album.

When Jieun was performing her solo song, Eunji was getting ready at the backstage. Eunji peeked through from the backstage curtain, waiting for her turn. Scanning through the lyrics once again, a contented smile on her face, proud of herself managed to produce the song in short amount of time, and gained approval to be included in their new album. “The next song is the last song recorded in the album and it’s titled ‘Love On Top’. I hope you like it.” Eunji announced as she walked to the stage.

The lights on the stage went off as Eunji positioned herself on the mark and the instrumental started to play. “Bring the beat in.”

“Stand if you want, make yourself comfortable but let me see you clapping.” The girl said approaching the mic. Soon, the crowds followed her instructions, clapping all together in tune with the song.

Chorong was touched as she listened to the lyrics when Eunji sing. It’s obvious that the song is about them. Her heartbeat beats with the rhythm, eyes didn’t blink as she watching Eunji performing. The way she swayed to the music, the way she sang, the way she smiled at her when their eyes met, the way her lyrics touched her when she was singing while sending playful winks to her, the way she having fun, enjoying on the stage. Chorong had those crafted in her mind.

The song went on, and when it ended, cheers and screams of excitement were heard. The album is going to be outsell other artists again. Some fans were crying. Half of the reason was it was the end, but some cried because it was amazing. No one wanted this moment to be over. It was too good to finish. The environment was amazing, the band was amazing, the duo was amazing.
