Prologue: A Year Without You?

Henry said his final good-bye to Amber. She was going back to California, for she had gotten involved in another accident which was far worse than her last one. He squeezed her hand, indicating that it was time for him to go back to the Super Junior dorm. Amber, who sat in a wheelchair, shot him a weak smile; the last smile Henry would ever truly enjoy.

He said his final good-byes to the One Way members, who were taking Amber to California with them. Henry tried his best not to cry.

"You'd best be going, Henry." Peter said. "It's almost 4PM. You wouldn't want to miss practice"

"That's true." Henry nodded, checking his watch. "I should be going now. Good-bye Peter, Michael, and Young Sky. Good-bye, Amber. I hope you get better soon."

"Thank you." Amber smiled and nodded. "Good-bye, Henry. See you soon."

Henry turned and walked away. I love you, Amber Liu..., he thought, shedding a few teardrops on the way to the practice building.

Bye Henry. I'll miss you..., Amber thought, smiffling a bit.

"Amber?" Peter asked. "You crying?"

"No I'm not." Amber lied, quickly fake laughing to hide her sadness.

"Come on, Amber. You don't need to lie." Michael said. "Hopefully we'll be back here in Seoul in a year. Not so long, right? Then you could see Victoria and Donghae and Jonghyun and Kibum and Henry!"

"Yeah." Amber replied. "You're right.

"At least you have us and you're older sister!" Youngsky, who was pushing her wheelchair, said. "You'll have tons of fun. Just think of this as a break. A year-long break. Not a super long hiatus. Just a break."

Amber nodded, and she looked at her left arm and left leg, which were both in casts...

Henry... Do not forget me..., she thought.

And Henry was trying to hold back his tears, on the way there. He couldn't control his feelings... He missed her already...

Amber... Do not forget me..., he thought.
