Against All Reasons4 years later
Jennie’s POV
“I have something to tell you.”
For the first time in a long time, I never felt this nervous. Jisoo had never been the type to say that. She was always upfront and clear. So I couldn’t help but think of the worst scenario.
It was my first time to go to their house in years. I have avoided coming for obvious reasons but I was so anxious that I went straight to their house as soon as I got the message.
The front door was open so I just invited myself in.
“Jisoo? I’m here!” I said as I entered the house. It was dead quiet.
I was about to call Jisoo when I heard someone walking down the stairs.
“Jennie?”
It’s been quite a while since the last time I heard his voice or see his face. I didn’t even know he was back.
“You’re back.” I said in disbelief.
“Hi?” Hanbin looked like he wasn’t quite sure what to do or say. “Yes, I’m back for good now. As much as I love Japan, I kind of missed Korean food.”
When Jaewon and I broke up, it took us a year to speak with each other again. It took me a while to forgive myself for breaking Jaewon’s heart and for ruining his and Hanbin’s friendship. I tried to help fixing it, but Jaewon moved back to the States after graduation. I guess some things needed more time to heal.
But the thing about mistakes was that even if you try to avoid the consequences, it wouldn’t leave you alone unless you confront it. Because of my guilt, it made everyone uncomfortable. It was always Jisoo who had to come to our house so we can hangout. When Bobby found out of what happened, he was more upset that the four of us
