The silence is ringing very, very loudly in Jennie’s ears and she doesn’t know what to do. The whole group is looking at her in shock  but she only has eyes for Jisoo. Jisoo who is smiling like she has accomplished her life goal, Jisoo who is smiling yet her tears burn bright against the lights , Jisoo who can no longer keep smiling as she grits her teeth and forces away the guilty expression that Jennie had barely caught on to. 

“Jisoo, you’ve had too much to drink. Do you even know what you’re saying? Gah, don’t be ridiculous. Here, let me grab that glass” Mino hurriedly snatches the glass from Jisoo, trying to sound surprised and nonchalant. 

However, Jennie can hear the panic in his voice  loud and clear, and she wonders if anyone else can hear it. She’s still thankful though, thankful that he interfered and tried to diffuse the tension. 

Jisoo bristles however, unwillingly to let it go now that she has spilled Jennie’s secret. Jisoo won’t back down, not now, not when Jennie is sitting in front of her and she can humiliate her in front of all of these people. She wants Jennie to feel the same way she felt years ago when Irene’s hand fell on her cheeks, and Jennie stood there without saying a word. So, Jisoo opens again and Jennie can only sit sandwiched between Jaehyun and Taeyong as the group goes wild, directing questions at Jisoo and her. When she fails to give an answer they revert their attention back to Jisoo , believing every poisonous word that spills from . 

Jennie is ready to leave, the atmosphere has turned and the night is getting even more chaotic by the second when Jennie breaks out of her stupor. 

“-he loved Lisa just as Jennie loved Hanbin. Don’t call it bull, Mino. It’s not , it really isn’t. You say Jaehyun and Jennie have been dating for that whole time, that Jennie couldn’t possibly have a crush on Hanbin well let me tell you otherwise, Jaehyun longed after Lisa and Jennie after Hanbin. When the two realised the two people they were pining after had gotten together, they decided to leave-” Jennie heard Jisoo screaming. 

Jennie slowly turned to look at Jaehyun, who had gotten very pale as Jisoo continued. She couldn’t help but laugh. They were both so ed. Jisoo had managed to reveal their secret and them up really really bad, in the span of just two seconds. Jennie’s laugh got louder as she watched Jaehyun’s panicked expression. He turned to look at her in disbelief, his eyes searching and eyebrows raised high. 

All Jennie could do was mutter how ed they were before Jaehyun also broke. They were both ,laughing now, clutching onto one another as the group slowly silenced to look at them. Jennie heard another laugh joining their own to which she saw Irene laughing along with them. Jennie knew what Irene must have been laughing at them and how stupid they looked randomly laughing in such a serious situation. But Jennie couldn’t stop, not now. Not when the whole group was looking at them uncomfortably and Taeyong had the most exasperated look she had ever seen him wear. It managed to make her laugh even more as she tried to control her laughter. 

However, when once again Jennie caught Jisoo’s startled gaze, she managed to calm down. 

“Seriously, Jisoo? How convenient. I can understand you being upset about what happened at the classroom all those years ago but to lie so blatantly.  I can’t believe you were the same girl I used to be close friends with. Are you seriously going to tell all these people the reason both of Jae and I left was because we were both in love with Hanbin and Lalisa? Wow! You couldn’t find anybody else?” Jennie let out, her voice grave and her gaze unforgiving. 

If Jisoo wanted to play it dirty so would Jennie. The days where she was scared of how Jisoo would react were long past her. 

So, it was of no surprise when Jisoo’s startled expression grew even more furious while Mino’s; besides her turned more somber. 

“Actually it makes sense , they were the two people from our group who got together after all, and you guys were friendly with each other. So it’s easy to pass it off as depression caused by longing due to the made up love square or whatever y’know” Irene piped in, her expression resembling one of a cat that ate a canary. 

The group was not surprisingly even more confused. Jisoo was stuttering, looking at  loss due to the turn of events and Jennie felt her shoulders dropping as the tension slowly left her body. She gently squeezed Jaehyun’s hand, letting him know that it would be alright. She would make sure of it. 

Mino spoke then, his voice uncertain but strong, “ Jisoo, I think you’ve drank too much. You’re not making sense to be honest.” 

Jisoo glared at him even more furiously, her face burning red and she opened probably to berate him, Jennie thought. Oh how she was wrong! Because as soon as Jisoo’s mouth opened, she gagged. Her face twisted bitterly and her body rocked forwards as  puke made its way towards the ground, past her chin and past her clothes as it slowly pooled around her and a panicked Mino. 

The group groaned collectively and scrambled in a frenzy to get away from a passed out Jisoo and Jennie knew she had won. At least this round, she thought as she gazed at a disgusted Taeyong before throwing him a wink and moving to get up. 

When the foursome got home that morning, all they could do was look at each other’s face before deciding to crash at the lounge. And so they did, cuddled against each other, safe for now from a disastrous event.

The next morning Jennie wakes up to rapid knocks on the front door. She lets out a groan and curses herself for being a light sleeper. The others are still passed out, Irene with her lips slightly parted and Taeyong and Jaehyun pressed together. She let out a giggle at the sight. Jaehyun was holding onto Taeyong like one would a teddy bear and Jennie felt warm as she realised, cutely enough he looked exactly like one. The knocking that had paused had started all over again and Jennie rolled her eyes. She knew it was probably the next door grandma, waking them up to complain about one thing or another again. So she slowly stretched before getting up. 

Suddenly, Jennie had the most brilliant idea. This grandma had been troubling them for a while so why not have a little fun? She slowly slipped her dress off until it hung around her midriff, made sure to smudge the lipstick around her lips and pinched her collarbone just for the hell of it. Then she untangled Taeyong from Jaehyun and made sure to ruffle Taeyong’s hair gently so as to not wake him up. After that, Jennie pressed a few kisses to Irene’s faces where her dried liquid lipstick managed to leave marks. Finally, she turned to Jaehyun, then contemplated. She knew the grandma would be able to see all three of them from the doorway when Jennie opened the door. Although the sight of them passed out would be enough to shock her, Jennie wasn’t satisfied. 

So, in another moment of brilliance (and god wasn’t she on a roll?), she decided to Jaehyun’s shirt so it revealed his chest fully. Jennie couldn’t help but appreciate the view so she didn’t even feel remotely bad when she quickly bit into his collarbone. Jaehyun gave a low groan but otherwise lay asleep. With a newfound courage and the knowledge that Jaehyun wouldn’t wake up anytime soon, she decided to bite him a few more times all the while trying to leave a mark. 

She knew it wouldn’t bruise up so soon, but still her teeth marks looked fresh and pretty against his clear skin. Jennie felt lowkey excited thinking about how it would look after it coloured into a dark blue or purple. This time she couldn’t help the giggle slip out, she couldn’t believe he was still asleep. This was actual madness. Quickly, she stood up as the knocks grew fainter and hurried to get it. Her efforts would be wasted if the bossy old witch left without seeing her work. 

So without any thought, she threw open the door a smug smirk on her face, her shoulders and chest exposed only to face——

Hanbin, Lalisa and Jisoo look at her, faces showcasing varying levels of shock and wonder at her appearance. Jennie froze, at the unexpected site of Hanbin. Hanbin who looked exceptionally good this early in the morning; his hair still wet, dressed in casual white  tee and black jeans that looked as though it was made only for him. Jennie drank him in, from head to toe completely forgetting about the girls next to him. 

And she wouldn’t have remembered about their existence either, if Lalisa hadn’t fallen against his shoulders, her eyes locked behind Jennie’s figure. Jennie cursed under her breath then as she heard a groan behind her, slowly turning to see Irene get up, lipstick print proudly displayed against her face as she gazed back at Jennie and the unexpected visitors at the door.  Jennie gulped, her heart hammering and her palms sweaty as she turned again to see the three ‘guests’ look between the figures on the ground and Jennie in shock and wonder.

“Well damn” Jisoo muttered and Jennie couldn’t help but agree.
