5. What to do?

 

 

Mark gets ready for school and went out of his room and met with his mother. Mark had his normal and casual outfit on and went to eat his breakfast. Mrs. Tuan looked at her son and let out a sigh and sat across of Mark

 

 

“Mark, didn’t you say that the different culture project your school was doing only was for a month? But it already been months, why are you still wearing your casual outfit and not your uniform? Mark don’t lie to me, are you going to school….” Mrs. Tuan asked worried, she was worried that his son is skipping school and get involved with some kids he shouldn’t get involved with

 

 

“I’m going to school, don’t worry…..the…..the project….” When Mark was about to lie again, his phone rang and Mark quickly picked up the phone

 

 

“Baby, I’m already outside of you apartment building…...” It was Jinyoung and after hearing what Jinyoung said at the other line made Mark smile

 

 

“Okay, I’m coming…...” Mark said and hung up the phone

 

 

“Who was it?” Mrs. Tuan asked worried

 

 

“Mhm….my friend…. I gotta go….” Mark said and got up from his seat and gets his bag

 

 

“Mark you’re not done with your breakfast and you didn’t answer my question yet, when is the project over?” Mrs. Tuan held his son’s wrist stopping him from leaving and asked

 

 

“What do you need to know that for, don’t you think that you’re asking too much? When you’re seeing me with uniforms again then the project is over, I have go….” Mark said and ran out of the apartment

 

 

Mrs. Tuan went to the window and saw the same sport car parking in front of their building every morning and the same guy who comes to pick up his son every morning. She saw the  guy get out of his car and ran to give his son a tight hug and a peck on the cheek

 

 

“Is he your boyfriend? Is he the one that changed you? Are you skipping school with him?” Mrs. Tuan thought and took a picture of them, make sure to get a picture of the guys face

 

 

When Jinyoung and Mark arrived the classroom, the gang was there already and laughing hard. The couple went to sit down to their usually seat and Mark asked what they were laughing at

 

 

“There will be a new transfer student to our class today….” Youngjae said with a small smile

 

 

“And?” Mark asked, not understanding what so funny about that

 

 

“And? Are stupid or something? Of course he gonna get bullied…...” BamBam said and laughed and Mark looked at Jinyoung, the younger just smirked and he knew that he’s going to witness someone get bullied again

 

 

“What should vi do first?” Yugyeom asked excited to bully the new student

 

 

“Mhm…. maybe having a good meal will be great….” BamBam said as excited as his bestfriend Yugyeom

 

 

“I’m on it, as long I get some food…” JB said and smiled

 

 

“Deal then….” Jinyoung said and smirked, after listening to the gang

 

 

Mark knew what’s going to happen “A good meal…. The new students lunch money gonna gets to the gangs pocket” Mark thought and let out a sigh

 

 

“You’re okay, baby?” Jinyoung heard Mark sigh and asked, the elder just nodded his head as an answer

 

 

The teacher came with the new transfer student and everyone stared at the new student of their class except Mark. He was looking at his notebook and drawing on it, he didn’t want to see who the new student was. He didn’t want to have any eye contact with the new student. He felt sorry for them who gets bullied, but what can he do, he is the bully’s boyfriend, one of the gang that takes bully as a hobby.

 

 

“We have a new transfer student today…. please introduce yourself….” The teacher said and gave the word to the new transfer student

 

 

“Hi everyone, nice to meet you all….” The new transfer student said in broken Korean, made everyone to know that he’s a foreigner

 

 

“Why I feel like I have heard this voice before?” Mark thought, but he was too scared to look up, scared to find out that the new transfer student is the one he think he is

 

 

“I’m Chinese, from Hong Kong…...but I have lived in LA must of my life…...hope we all can be friends….” The new student started again and said

 

 

“Hong Kong? LA?” Mark thought and closed his eyes, he’s scared to meet the truth

 

 

“And my name is…….” The new boy started with a big smile on his face

 

 

“Jackson….” Mark said in his mind and opened his eyes again to look at the new student, the one he ones loved, his ex-boyfriend, the one and only bestfriend he had in LA

 

 

“Jackson….” Jackson said and bowed 90°C towards the other students with a bright smile on his face

 

 

“Okay, you can now go sit on seat at the back of the classroom….” The teacher said and pointed out the available seat at the back of the classroom

 

 

Jackson thanked the teacher before going towards his seat, as he goes to his seat, he goes past Jinyoung’s gang. He looked at them and it was then he got eye contact with his ex-lover and bestfriend Mark. Jackson smiled brightly when he saw Mark and wanted to say hi, but Mark quickly turned his head down and covered his face behind one of his hand, made Jackson confused. Jackson then looked at the others in the gang who smirked at him

 

 

"Omg, why are you transferring to our school of all schools in Seoul, Jackson, I don’t wants you to get hurt…” Mark thought and let out a big sigh

 

 

After the class was over and it was lunch break, Jackson wanted to go and say hi to Mark, but before he could do that, Jinyoung’ gang quickly got out of the classroom and Mark followed after of course. The gang went out of the building and get near the cafeteria, they don’t like to fight in the classroom so they waited outside so it was bigger place to punch the new student. When they waited outside, Mark got more nervous as he waited for Jackson to come out.

 

 

Jackson wanted to befriend to the other students in the class and wanted say hi and eventually to eat together, but everyone in the class declined and ran away. All the student in the class overheard what Jinyoung’s gang talked about to bully the new student Jackson and if they got too close to the new student, they would get bullied as well, so no one wants to get friendly with Jackson

 

 

“Jinyoung?” Marks said carefully to his boyfriend as they waited for Jackson to come out

 

 

“Yeah, baby?” Jinyoung smiled and asked back

 

 

“I want to get to the toilet, can you wait for me?” Mark said it with his puppy eyes and Jinyoung said yes of course

 

 

“Sure, I will wait for you just go….” Jinyoung said and Mark quickly ran in to the building again trying to find his bestfriend and ex-boyfriend, Jackson

 

 

Mark ran in to the classroom, but it was already empty so he quickly pulls out his phone to call Jackson, hoping to get in touch with his bestfreind

 

 

“Beep…...Beep…...Beep…. Beep….” Mark heard the beeping sound from the phone call and it get him more impatiens and frustrated for not getting in touch with Jackson

 

 

“Pick up the phone Jackson…...” Mark muttered, sliding his hand through his hair out of frustration while he tried to call his bestfriend again and again

 

 

Mark knew that he can’t just stands here and wait, so he sends a message to Jackson and ran back to Jinyoung and the gang, praying that Jackson won’t show up

Don’t go to the cafeteria! You will get in trouble!!!!!!

 

 

Mark got no reply from Jackson and the luck was obviously not on Mark side, because he saw Jackson coming out of the building coming near the gang toward the cafeteria

 

 

“Let’s have some fun guys….” Jinyoung said and all the gang member chuckle, except Mark of course

 

 

“Hey, new kid….” Jinyoung shouted and made Jackson have his attention towards the gang. Jackson looked confused and pointed at himself for make sure that Jinyoung was calling him. Jinyoung smirked and made a sign with his hand for Jackson to come towards them

 

 

“Are you talking to me?” Jackson asked when he reach to the gang and standing right in front of Jinyoung. Mark choose to stand at the back of the gang, behind Yugyeom, the highest member in the gang so Jackson wouldn’t notice him

 

 

“Isn’t it obviously that we’re talking to you? You are the new transfer student aren’t you?” Jinyoung smirked and said

 

 

“Hehe…. true… but finally someone is willing to talk to me, I tried to talk to the other students in the class, but they just ran away from me, like they’re scared or something…... do I look so scary?” Jackson said happily for someone to talk to him and asked naively

 

 

 

“Scared…. hahaha…. I don’t think that they are scared of you…. more like…. scared of us….” Jinyoung chuckled and said

 

 

“Scared of you? why?” Jackson asked confused, not understanding the situation

 

 

“Hahaha…...he asked why…...show him why…...” Jinyoung chuckled and said with a smirk and before Jackson could say anything more, Yugyeom went to punch Jackson, making a bruise on his cheek

 

 

“Why are you punching me dude?” Jackson asked in English out of frustration not understanding at all

 

 

“Don’t you think that you’re asking ‘why’ too many times?” Jinyoung asked and kicked Jackson on the stomach made the other fell on the floor. BamBam then went to get Jackson’s bag and poured out all his belongings to get his wallet. BamBam pulled the money out of the wallet and throw the wallet on the floor. Jackson wanted to protest and it was then he saw Mark, they looked at each other and the elder quickly looked away. Jackson stayed silence then, not saying anything or any protest, he got the situation now. He just got punched and he will get bullied, and his bestfriend is not helping him, because he is one of them

 

 

Jinyoung squatted down to Jackson and looked at the other “Be careful, man….” Jinyoung said in English and slapped Jackson’s cheek a few times, before standing up and turn to leave and get in to the cafeteria

 

 

“Thank you for the lunch new kid….” JB said and turned around to follow Jinyoung and the other members of the gang did the same. Mark and Jackson got in eye contact again, they looked at each other and not saying anything. Mark mouthed a sorry and ran after Jinyoung and the gang.

 

 

Jackson didn’t attend the next few classes and Mark was worrying about him, but there was nothing he can do, at least there are nothing he can do now. When the day of school was over, Mark and Jinyoung bid goodbye to the other members and the younger drove Mark home. The whole ride was in silent, Mark just looked out of the window and all he thought about was Jackson

 

 

“Babe…?” Jinyoung said and caressed Mark’s face made the elder flinch from the touch and it was also then Mark noticed that they have arrived in front of his apartment building

 

 

“Sorry…” Mark said and let out a big sigh

 

 

“Are you okay?” Jinyoung asked worried, he noticed that his boyfriend had spacing out a lot today

 

 

“I’m fine…” Mark said and looked down

 

 

“Okay…I see you tomorrow then….” Jinyoung said and kissed Mark on the cheek, before the elder got out of the car and went inside the building

 

 

Mark got out of the elevator and went towards the apartment he is living. He unlocked the main door to the apartment and the first thing he saw surprised him

 

 

“Jackson….”
