"You're a tough guy so how'd you break your arm for the seventh time already?" had asked the doctor with a tender smile on his face. His eyes and thin fingers were focused on the stitches running along the young boy's inner forearm.

"If you're going to scold me for always getting into fights, I got enough from my mom, thanks" replied the youngster, eyes almost rolling to the back of his head. His arm was so numb he couldn't even feel the threads being removed to be replaced.

"Well, I'm not your mother nor even your father but I'm still your doctor and I'm starting to worry for your health Hanbin"

Sat on top of the auscultation table, the boy watched as the doctor grabbed a pair of scissors to cut the new threads. In his slow contemplation, he noticed the wrinkles adorning the other's forehead, his slightly greying hair and those tired but still shining eyes. Hanbin had known this old man for as long as he could remember and this cabinet was almost his second home at this point. He nodded shyly but avoided the eye contact when the man tilted his head up.

"You do know that your bones aren't really solid, right ? Your calcium deficiency can be managed with a treatment and you should be thankful it's not that heavy," the disinfectant spray didn't tickle as much as usual. Maybe the anesthesic dose was more important today. "I have patients lying in their beds all day long. They cant even walk and there you are, wandering around and throwing punches at the first occasions .."

"If they could all stop acting like bastards-"

"Language Hanbin" He ignored the remark.

"- in their daily life, maybe I'd be more merciful. I swear, it's not even me ! They're literally searching for troubles."

He then felt a tap on the top of his shoulder and took it as a clue to hop down from his spot.

"I'm not trying to blame you, but I'm sure there must be other means to stop them other than your weak knuckles against their thick cheekbones"

Hanbin refrained a sigh and took his leather jacket from where he threw it earlier on the patient sit, putting it on without slipping his left arm into the sleeve. Waiting for a reply that would never come, the doctor was the one to sigh and opened the door for the younger to go out.

"Alright, just be careful. I dont want to see you before I have to take out those stitches, ok ?"

Hanbin wanted to reply that two weeks was too long for him to last without getting into any fights but remembering the concern the older felt for him, he thought twice and nodded stubbornly. He could try to avoid black corners for two weeks.

Before escaping the room, he suddenly had the urge to somehow thank his doctor for always taking care of him and never complaining, always patiently repairing and healing the younger. But Hanbin being Hanbin, "sorry" and "thank you" weren't so easy to say.

"Are you treating me to some fancy food next time then if I do keep my words ?" he said, turning back so fast that he almost bumped into the older.

".. This kid. You're going to make me age way faster than I should, you know that ?" but despite his words, the other was smiling and ruffled Hanbin's hair. "Deal, young man. You better stay healthy until then."

"Uh, talk for you old man. Of course I'll be fine."
