Amber just stood by the fence, feeling the breezes that slowly dry up the clear water that flows down to the face. It looks

like the wind can't compete with the tears of her' that fell down as time goes by, it's not even took for seconds for that

dried face to become wet again with the tears. Amber can feel that her feet started to given in and finally it did. She made

her body to leaned towards the wall, while hugging firmly to her own knee.

 

* Please, be strong Amber. I know you're strong enough to face this. *

 

 

 

[ Flashback ]

 

 

* Why isn't he's here yet ? *

 

Amber decides to go out and look for Key who's been missing before the recess ends. She looked at her watch and it shows

she only had around 5 minutes left before the school bell ring so she just put Key aside from her thought and went to the

ladies to do her business. It must be her luck on that day since she spotted the guy that she's dying to meet right in front of

her. Well technically but when she is a step ahead, she saw Yoona went out from the toilet and shockingly Key was

welcomed her excitedly. Both of them were talks so happily that they didn't realized Amber were watching them from a

far. Amber quickly hided herself when she saw Yoona about to head her way towards her but then she was surprised to

see Key were dragging her to other way.

 

* Where are they going ? *

 

 

Just when she's battling with her minds whether want to follow them or not, the school bell rang which made her startled.

 

“ I'll just make some excuses to Mrs Jo later. Now, I have to find them. “

Her heart beating like crazy along her way following both of them quietly from behind. It's not because of the running but

because of the sudden nervousness that she felt by looking at how happy those two person right now. She had so many

thought that really irritated her heart by looking at how those two interlocked their hands together.

 

 

She stops by the end of the school building and let her eyes keeping their gaze at those two person who's currently

heading their way towards the old hut. Her heart felt the aches when she saw how lovely both of them together, and the

tears just flowing down once she saw the moment Key pulled Yoona to sit on his lap. Not even once she took her eyes off

them even though she know that just going to hurt her feelings even more.

 

 

She watched silently on how he whispered to her ears, how firmly he embraced her, how both of them took turns to tease

each other and how their eyes looked at each other. Amber is not a fool and she was quick enough to noticed the love in

between them but she just choose to keep denying it until she can prove it with her own eyes that the one who she has

been fall into were not meant for her and here, right now, she already got what she need.

 

 

Amber had never thought knowing the truth will hurt her this much until she felt suffocated with the sight that welcomed

her. She want to walk away badly but it seems like her feet were glued on that place. She want to look away but her minds

states that she need to face it until it's end.

 

 

After the few hurtful moments passed, Key and Yoona starts to made their way and Amber was lucky enough that they

didn't walked towards her and use the other way. She don't know what will she do if they happen to saw her in that

condition, as hurt as she is, she still don't want anybody to see her in that awful state.

 

 

[ End Of Flashback ]

 

 

 

Her heart felt a lot colder than those cold floor that touched her skin. She remained silent but seems like her tears glands

won't stop working as it kept on forming the tears. Amber had never fall in love and when she does, she will love the one

with all of her heart which gave a big impact when things won't turns as what she's expected.

 

* I hate myself. I hate that I let my feelings for him to go on. I hate myself for being such a fool. *

 

 

Not even once had crossed in her minds that she will hate or blame Key for her broken heart because she knows it well

enough that everything were happened are caused by her own foolishness.

Amber was already resting at a small cafe at the town when she read those messages. She felt so terrible when she realized

she had already made her friends worried for her. But out of all the messages that she read, she's kinda felt disappointed

when she noticed there's no message or missed call from that one person ... Key.

 

* What am I kidding ? Why would he worried about me ? I bet he's not even aware that I'm not there with them. *

 

 

She heaved a big sighed and decides to reply to Jonghyun's message after that since she don't want her friend to get more

worried.

Dino oppa, I'm sorry ..

I've made you and the gang worried for nothing.

Aww .. I feels so guilty towards all of you ..

Not long after that there's an incoming call from Jonghyun.

“ Aish ! Why did he call ? “

 

Amber just afraid that Jonghyun might noticed on her sudden changes in voice, well she's been crying non-stops and her

voices started to given in by time goes by.

“ Thank God that you texts me, I was planning on to make a report for your sudden missing at the police station, do you

know that ? “

That just made Amber to chuckled.

“ Sorry, I didn't know that things going to turned out like this. “

“ Where were you ? “

“ Right now ? My house. “

“ I need your explanation the first thing in the morning, you got that ? “

“ Yes, Sir. Can I sleep now ? “ Amber asked cutely at him.

“ Sure, good night. And one more thing, please don't make me worry again. “

She immediately hung up the calls and sipped her third hot drink, green tea.

 

 

“ Agesshi, I'm sorry, but we're going to close the shop. “

A middle aged guy approached her with a guilty smiled on his face.

“ Omo, I'm so sorry. I'll be heading out after I'm done with my drink. Is that ok with you ? “

That guy leaved her alone once again and this time, Amber tried to finished her drinks as soon as possible because she felt

guilty made the owner to waits for her although she almost chocked twice by the hot drink .

 

“ Thank you ajusshi. Goodbye. “

Both of them bowed to each other before Amber headed out of the cafe.

“ Urgh ! It's so cold. “

 

Amber suddenly remembered about her sweater in her bag but unfortunately she didn't have the backpack with her on

that moment so she can't do anything but to just let the cold wind to touched her skin. She groaned in frustration when

she felt her legs become stiffen by the cold breezes.

 

“ Why did they creates mini skirt ? It's killing me. “

She said as she took a glanced at her school uniform that she's been wearing since the morning until now.

She saw a taxi nearby and walked towards it, “ Where are you going agesshi ? “

“ Pyeongchang-dong. “

Amber answered him with a smile.

 

 

While on their way, “ Are you a high school student ? “

“ Yes I am. “

“ It's pretty late agesshi, and it's really dangerous for a girl to going out alone at this hour. “

Amber just smiled at the taxi ajusshi who looks so concerned about her.

“ Owh, ajusshi, can you pulled over there. “ She pointed at her front.

“ Han River ? “

Amber nodded like a little child which made the taxi ajusshi to chuckled at her.

She stepped out of the cab once she pays the ride and bowed to the ajusshi,

“ Thanks for the ride ajusshi. “

“ Are you sure about this ? I can just wait for you here. I'm not sure there will be taxi around here at this hour. “

“ Dae, don't worry. I'll just call someone to pick me up later. “ She assured him.

Amber skipped her way along the Han River,

“ I need something to cool myself down .. hehe .. I'm coming Ice Cream. “

She don't care whether her body can handle any of coldness more because she just craving for that sweet and cold food.

“ One strawberry please and with a little of chocolate dip on it. “

She just keep her eyes on the ice cream until the ajusshi handed it to her.

“ Kamsahamnida. “

 

 

For Amber, Ice cream is the best therapy to heal herself whenever she was down and sad because the sweet taste from it

can easily lighten up her mood. Just when she took her first taste on her strawberry ice cream,

Amber's POV

 

 

Is he still looking at me ? I took another glance and surprisingly,

* OMG ! He's still looking at me. *

 

 

Great, why did out of all people, I'll be meeting him tonight ? I was hoping that I won't be meeting him at least until next

week. Is that too much ? Ok, until tomorrow is already fine with me. Don't he feels tired glaring at me like that.

Owh, look at those eyes that he had right now, it looks like gonna fall out in anytime. What should I do now ? Say

something, it's really awkward right now.

 

 

“ Are you planning on snatching my ice cream again ? I swear I will kick you to the cold river if you are. “

“ Yah Amber Liu !! “

“ What's with the sudden shouting ?? “ I shouted back at him.

“ Is there only Ice Cream that exist in your mind ? “

He's way too loud tonight.

“ Right now ? Yes. “

 

 

I retorted back annoyingly although it was obviously a lie. I was thinking on how to acts natural in front of him, on how

to control my emotion and on how to stop myself from having him and his girlfriend in my minds the whole time.

Believe me, that was the hardest thing that I think I've ever done in my life. My heart won't stop beating crazily because of

him and I also feels like my body started to shiver but I'm not sure whether it's because of the cold breezes or really

because of him.

 

 

“ Are you cold ? “

“ Obviously. “

I pointed at my exposed legs and only received a chuckle from him.

“ I really want to give this but I don't want to die because of freezing. “

He said as he pointed to his sweater.

* Aish ! I just wish I can kick him right away to the river. *

“ Thanks, but I don't need that either. I can handle myself. “

I said proudly tried to keep my cool image in front of him.

“ Why are you here ? “

“ That question suppose to goes to you Tomboy. “

“ Ice cream. “

Once again he chuckled at me.

I can't understand him at all, what did I do that looks so funny to him.

“ Can't you think of any good lies to give me ? Who would fall for that ? “

 

I'm not lying, I'm really here for an ice cream, well technically, yes.

 

 

“ What happen to you ? “

 

I was startled with that because I didn't expect he will asked me that. I stared at his face and I hate to say this but I noticed

there's a glimpse of concerns shows on it or it just my imagination.

There he go again with his Diva tantrum.

I was obviously stunned looking at him when I heard those coming our from his mouth.

He looked away when he realized I just keep staring at his face.

don't know about you. Maybe you're some kind of an alien species who always have a cold heart. “

He laughed at his so called funny statements.

He looked at me confusedly.

I know I still couldn't get over with my heartbroken but at least he made me to feels happy right now with the fact that he

did care about me.

 

“ I just noticed something. “

“ Did you cried by any chance ? “

He was having so much fun laughing at me because of that.

Don't he noticed how red my face right now because of that ?

I gave him another smacked but he just so into his own laughed that he unable to feel the pain, I guess.

“ You was so lucky enough that I didn't saw your thing there. “

“ KIM KIBUM !!! “

I glared at him with my hands pulling the sweater down a bit to covered my knee.

* Why did I fall in love with this ert Diva ?? Aish !! *

“ OMG ! I'm tearing up because of you .. haha “

It's funny when he's the one who made me cried at the first place but he also who made me smiles at the end.

End Of Amber's POV

“ I was kind enough to give you a ride, why did you have to refused it ? “

“ I had my own driver. “

Key just pushed her towards the passengers seat and quickly went to his.

Key just ignored her and keep on singing along with the song and of course, with the hand dance gestures too. Amber

who's been sitting next to him trying her best not to burst into laugh but at the end she did spilled it out. Not just that,

surprisingly, Key also made her to sing along with him along their way to Amber's house.

 

 

“ You can go now. “

“ A thanks will do. “

Amber just looked at him with her poker face and that easily made Key to feel annoyed.

“ Fine. Bye. “

He get into his car and drive away from her.

“ Thanks Key .. for everything. “

She uttered with her eyes still fixated on his car that slowly disappears bit by bit.

 

 

 

Next Morning

 

“ Good Morning family !! “

“ Morning, Amber. “

Both Mr and Mrs Liu looked at each other with their wide eyes.

“ AMBER ??!!! “ And end up shouted at their daughter in unison.

“ Oh God ! Why did everyone keep on shouting at me, before this Key now you guys too ?? “

She said as she sat on the chair.

“ Since when did you come back here ? “

“ Last night. “

“ Like really late at night. “ Her sister interrupted.

“ Thanks for that. “

Amber rolled her eyes at her sister annoyingly.

“ My pleasure my dongsaeng .. hehe. “

 

 

After that Amber had to explained about her sudden showed up in their house to the elders but of course she had to make

another lie by stating that, “ I just miss you guys so much. That's why I'm here. “

But both of her parents were not easily fall for that and looked at Amber suspiciously while Amber tried her best to make

her poker face.

 

“ I better get going now. I'm gonna be late for school. Bye Mommy, Daddy. Bye Sis. “

She quickly dashed out of the house and ran towards the car, “ Deannie ! Hurry up. They might caught me later on. “

“ I knew it, you're hiding something from us. “

“ Just drive. “

 

 

Dean keep on asking questions but Amber just ignored it and always change the topic which easily distracted Dean.

“ I will make sure to get something from you soon or later. “

He glared at her while she's stepping out of the car.

“ Merong. “

Amber just quickly run away from him.

 

 

“ Amber Liu !! “

“ Aish ! Just when I thought I'm free. “

She slowly turned to her back revealing Jonghyun and the gang walked towards her.

“ Just as what you promised. Spill it out. “

She had to give another explanation for her friends but this time she didn't tell lies neither tells the truth too, well not

exactly.

“ I just feel down. That's all. “

“ That doesn't convinced me at all. “ Luna blurted out.

“ The important thing is I don't want either one of you to be worry again, because I'm totally fine. “

Well, not fully fine but she had to assured them that she's alright, at least, in front of them.
