Amber was awake when she felt her body starting to get a lot more comfortable. She noticed there's a wet towel on her forehead

so she removed it. Slowly she get herself sat with her back leaned on the headrest, and wandered her eyes around the room.

She saw the medicine tray at the side table and put her hand on her forehead after that,

 

“ I don't need that yuckkie medicine anymore I guess. “ She said that as she felt herself has cool down.

Her stomach then making some weird sounds which made her to chuckled.

“ Owh .. you're hungry huh ? Let's find something to eat. “

She said while rubbing her stomach.

 

She slowly get off from her bed since she still feel dizzy. She was not that recovered but she had to fight her sickness for the sake

of her stomach. She was surprised when saw the boys are there while she's heading to the downstairs.

 

“ Amber, you're awake. “

Onew are the first one to spotted her.

“ Why didn't you call us if you need anything ? What if you fall or something ? “

Victoria was being the worried mother once again and quickly helped her to get down the stairs.

“ I'm fine. I'm just hungry. “

“ Hungry ? Then I'll reheat the foods for you ok ? “

She just nodded to Victoria then headed her way to the couch.

“ You looked a lot better. Your temperature had go down slightly. “

Taemin said it just as he put his hand on her forehead to feel her body temperature.

“ Unnie .. you made us worried. “

“ Hehe .. sorry for troubled you guys. “

Amber then had to explained everything about what happen to her today since the gang can't stop asking her questions.

“ Make sure you have your phone with you next time. Who knows what might happen. Thank God that Key was there

to help you. “

Onew patted Key's back which made Amber to looked at him.

* Owh .. I almost didn't realized that he was here. Why is he so quiet ? *

 

Amber was about to thank him for what he did when suddenly Victoria called her out for her dinner which made her

to totally forget about Key and dashed towards the dining table.

 

 

 

 

Amber was eating alone so Krystal decided to accompany her, well she also had other interior intention for that actually.

 

“ So do you aspect to meet Key oppa back then ? “

“ No. Not at all and I was so shocked when he offered his help. “

“ Yeah .. he sure gave a lot of help. “

Krystal smiled at her mischievously which made Amber to become confused.

“ So, what's with your moment with him back then ? “

“ What moment ? “

Amber were sipping her drink when Krystal utter, “ Your moment hugging each other. “

and that eventually made Amber to spitted her drink right on Krystal's cloth.

“ Aacckk ! Unnie ! “

“ Sorry .. sorry .. “

The gang looked at them weirdly but Amber immediately say, “ I got this. “

She motioned them to continue with whatever they are doing.

“ Aishh ! What was that ? “

Krystal asked in annoyance while Amber helped her clean her shirt.

“ You made me shocked. “

“ What did I do ? Owh .. the hugging thing huh ? “

“ Sshh .. lower down your voice. “

“ So mind to explain ? “

“ He won't answer. “

“ So do I. Just put your curiosity away. It's nothing. “

“ Aish .. I should have just snap that moment and blackmailing you with it. “

 

Amber just chuckled at the annoyed Krystal before shifted her gaze to Key who was lying on the floor. Amber really didn't

remembered about her moment with Key until just now when Krystal pointed it out. She felt really embarrassed now that she

recalled about it again.

 

* I just can't believe that I did really hugged him. *

* Urghh ! How to face him after this ? That was so not cool. *

* Wait .. now that I remembered about it, he's the one who started it. He let me leaned on him. So he should be the one who

embarrassed about it not me. Yes ! That's it ! Problem solved ! Amber Liu are so genius ! *

“ Stop looking at me with your disgusting eyes. “

She was startled when Key said that.

“ Jeez .. I'm not looking at you. I'm looking at that kid behind you. “

“ Yeah right. You were staring at the sleeping maknae. Nice try. “

“ So ? What if I did looked at you ? “

She bravely admitted it to him before headed her way to the kitchen to wash her dishes.

Key once again startled Amber who's currently washing the dishes.

That abruptly stops Amber from what she was doing.

She already had everything planned to annoyed him in her mind.

“ What is it in your mind when you hugged me ? “ Key were teasing her with that.

Amber gave her most famous smirked that easily made Key to feels annoyed.

“ Excuse me, Ms Liu. I only lend you my body to make you less tired from standing without support but you're the one who had

your arms around me. “

“ It does sounds the same to me. “

“ Yah ! Wait .. what about you then ? “

“ You're the one who started this. You pulled me closer to you first. “

That eventually hit her mind.

* Omo .. He's right. I did that. Why didn't I think about it just now ? *

“ Yah ! Our conversation are getting weirder. “

Key were smirking when he noticed Amber become restless.

“ Yes. So just go now. “

Amber had no choice but to become blunt because that's the only way to make Key stop.

“ Aish ! You're no fun at all. You should play along with it. “

Key gave his last smirked before made his way towards the gang leaving Amber in blushed all by herself.

* That was so embarrassing ! *

 

 

Amber tried her best to forget about her embarrassing moment with Key on that night. She tried to sleep but she can't,

she played some online games but it's useless and she even read some Luna's love story novel but at the end that made her to

think about him even more. So lastly, she just lie down on her bed,

 

“ It's nothing. He just being annoying to teased me. “

 

Amber feels really uncomfortable whenever she recalled back their moment. She had never thought that both of them can be

that affectionate to each other and that's really creep herself out. She had goosebumps all over her body when she remembered

back how nice Key are towards her back then, well so do her, she also can't believe herself that she was actually cared for him.

 

* I should just let him sick. That ungrateful Diva. *

“ Owh .. I forgot to thank him for his help. “

* Looks like I was no different from him .. hihi *

Amber was hesitantly at first but then she did call him at last, “ What you want ? “

“ Can you not acted so cold ? “

“ Huh ? How should I answer you call then ? Hey baby ! Like that ? “

“ Ok .. that was so gross. “

Amber can heard Key's laugh at the other line.

“ You're calling me. That was so unexpected. “

“ I just need to say something here so listen carefully. I won't repeat it again. “

Amber heaved a big sighed before utter what's in her mind, “ Thank you. “

Key was stunned on the other line when he heard that words came out from .

“ Thank you for what you did today. So that's all. Bye. “

She quickly hang up leaved Key dumbfounded on the other line.

“ Ok .. I did it. If he ever say that I'm not grateful for what he did, I swear I will kick him for real. “

“ Are you really sure about this ? You can just take a day off you know. “

Luna was still worried about Amber who's non-stop sneezing because of the cold that she had.

“ It's not that bad. It's just a cold. Look, I even bring this along with me. “

She showed her the face mask to Luna.

“ You'll feel better now but later on you will feel your body become weak again. “

Sulli still tried her best to persuade Amber to just stay in the house.

“ I'm the strong Amber Liu. So don't worry. “

“ Girls, just let her be. Here Am .. I made you a nice Samgyetang ( a chicken soup with korean ginseng ) for you. It will help

you with the cold. “

Victoria handed a paper bag with a lunch box in it.

She give a thumb up before headed out of the house with the girls.

 

They waited for a about few minutes before the boys came out from their house.

“ What took you guys so long ? “

“ Ask that kid. He had some trouble for waking up this morning. I wonder why. “

Minho pointed at Key who was at the moment were yawning.

“ Something smells nice. “

Taemin uttered while his nose and eyes searching for the source.

“ Amber noona, you got something there. “ He easily spotted it.

“ Victoria unnie made something nice for my lunch. “

“ Smells like Samgyetang. Can I have some later ? “

“ Taeminnie .. that's for Amber unnie. She's the one who's sick not you. “

Sulli give a light smack on Taemin's hand which made him pouted for sympathy at Amber.

“ You can have it. Besides, I cannot eat this by myself. It was too much for me. “

Luna and Sulli already dragged Amber away from Key.

Key walked passed by them and not before he pushed Amber's body slightly that easily made Amber to loses her balance.

They were referred to the prototype that they made yesterday which need them to do a presentation about it today, so

Myungsoo decided to excused Amber from it since she doesn't looks like she can pull everything nicely for today.

“ Don't you hear what the leader told you just now ? Just rest Am .. You looks like you can't even lift your head up properly. “

Dongjun looked at her who's still had her head rested on the desk.

“ Why don't you just take a leave today ? “

Soyou also can't help but to feel worried for her.

“ I was fine just now but I don't know why I feel so weak right now. “

“ I should just send you back yesterday if I know this will happen to you. “

Zico felt slightly guilty for leaving her yesterday.

20 minutes are too long for your body to handle it. “

Myungsoo assured her once more since he was being concerned to her.

He know she was acting all tough in front of them but he still able to noticed that her body are shivering right now.

Few minutes after the gang leaved the class, Amber decided to eat some of her lunch but once she touched it, she can feel the

queasiness inside her.

She just closed the lid and put the lunch box aside.

She then noticed Sungjong walked passed by her class, “ Sungjongie ! “

“ Owh .. noona. “ He peaked into the class with a smiled.

“ Where are you heading to ? “

“ Cafeteria. “

“ Can you help me ? Can you give this to Taemin. I bet he's at the cafe right now. I don't have the energy to walk around now. “

Luna asked Sungjong who just now handed the lunch box to Taemin.

I didn't take my lunch today since I have some work to be settle, well I kinda forget to do my homework again so I decided to

just finish that up during the break. I just have some bread and an orange juice that I brought from the house. After I'm done

with it, I decided to head to the cafe since I still have about 15 minutes left till recess ends. Just when I walked passed by the

junior class, I heard a pretty loud thud sound which made me to stops my track. I looked around and found nothing around me

so I walked nearer to the class next to me since I pretty sure that sound came from that room. I saw nothing once I stepped in

but then I heard the sounds of something fell down. I noticed that it was a school bag and I was sure that it was Amber's bag.

I was welcomed with a shocked when I saw that tomboy were lying on the floor with the school bag next to her.

 

“ YAH ! WHAT HAPPEN TO YOU ? “

I quickly approached her and help her to get herself up.

 

She motioned herself like about to throw up so I quickly help her to walked towards the ladies which was luckily not far from

the class. I don't know what I'm thinking right now since I, myself had followed her entered the ladies. I saw one of the toilet's

door being opened and as I expected,

 

“ KYAA !! “

“ NICOLE ! “

Thank god that was Nicole, I don't know how to explain it if it was other girl.

“ What are you doing here Key ? Wait .. Amber ? “

 

She approached us as soon as she noticed Amber is with me, who's still hadn't done with the queasiness. She didn't throw up

even a bit, she just keep on making those sounds which made me to feel nauseated too.

 

“ I found her lying on the floor just now and I brought her here since she looks like she want to throw up. “

“ Really ? But you don't have to go in here. It's a girl's washroom remember ? “

Nicole shot me a glare with her hands still massaging Amber's head.

“ What do you expect me to do ? Just let she go by herself ? If you noticed she doesn't looks like she could even

stand properly. “ I retorted back.

“ Just wait outside. I'll take care of her now. “

 

I just did as she says and walked out but not before I make sure that the hallway is clear. After about few minutes,

Nicole finally stepped out with Amber at her side.

 

“ Bring her to the clinic. “

I pointed at myself with a ' Me ? Seriously ? Me ' looks.

“ Who else ? I really want to help you but Mrs Jo requested to see me right now. You know how fierce she is right ? “

“ I guess I had no choice. Just tell the teacher I'm gonna be late. “

I said as I noticed the recess time has ended.

“ Why don't you just stay in the house ? “

 

I keep on nagging at her. I know it's inappropriate to do that but what can I do, I was born to have this kind of attitude.

 

“ You're a trouble maker. “

That cause me to get a free smacked from her on my head.

She then let herself free from my arms and pushed me slightly, “ Just go. I don't want to trouble you anymore. “

She just walked away from me, weakly.

* Aish ! Key ! She is a sick person right now. Not your frienemy. *

I rushed after her and about to help her again but she just gave me a death glare which cause me to back away.

* Even in this condition she still able to acts fierce to me. *

I walked to her again, lift her body up and carry her heavy, yup quite heavy body in bridal style since I noticed she were 

wobbling the whole time.

 

“ Put .. me down. “

She managed to give me another smacked.

* Aish ! Ungrateful Tomboy ! *

“ I'm not doing this for free. I'll claim back at you. I'll put this on my ' YOU OWE ME ' list. Got it ? “

 

She just stared at me in an indescribable expression on her face so I just continued the way until we reached the school clinic.

 

 

 

The nurse told me that she might not taking her medicine properly and because she also skipped her meal. I ran towards the

cafeteria since the nurse instructed me to by something for her before she take her medicine.

 

“ Aish ! I can't believe I did so many things for her. “

“ Here are your porridge and juice. “

I took the food from the ajumma and walked back to the clinic.

“ I already give her an anti-emetic, so just give her the food. “

I nodded and bring the food to her bed.

“ Here. Eat up. “

 

I help her to get herself sit straight and prepared the food for her. Her hands were shivering when she's holding onto the spoon

and that just easily get me irritated, so I just snatched the spoon from her hand.

 

“ I'll feed you with this. You will take about a day to finish this porridge with that weak body of yours. “

 

She just open up without even protest or say even a word, maybe she just too tired to pick a fight with me.

Yeah right, tired. That's explains for the two smacks that I got just now. After done with her meal, the nurse gave the medicine

that she need and just rest herself on the bed soon after that.

 

“ She's fine with me. You can go back to your class if you want. “

The nurse told me, so I just nodded before gave a bowed to her.

“ Thank you so much. I'll let her friends know about this later. “

 

 

 

I don't need to explained much to the teacher since I know Nicole had done her work well by explained it for me earlier,

so the teacher just let me go.

 

“ Are you really with Amber ? “

That was the first question that came out from Minho's mouth as soon as I took my seat so I just nodded.

“ What happen to her ? Is she sick that bad ? “

“ She's fine now, with the nurse to take care of her. “

“ I wonder, why would you always be the one who help her ? “

“ Maybe I've done something that upsets the God, that's why he gave me this as his punishment. “

Minho just chuckled at me while I just rolled my eyes.

I saw that Minho secretly texting someone and I'm sure it was for Krystal.

“ You let her know ? “ He nodded.

Amber's POV

 

 

It just took about 10 minutes to sleep then I woke up. I couldn't sleep after that maybe because I'm not comfortable sleeping

in this clinic, well, added Key's matter into this too. I glanced at the nurse who's still busy arranging her medicine in the fridge.

 

“ You're awake ? “

She asked when she looked at me and I just nodded to her lightly.

“ Your friend just went to his class soon after you fell asleep. “

“ Aah .. I see. “

“ Do you need anything ? “

“ No. I'm fine. I just need to rest I guess. “

“ Alright. I'll be at the next door for awhile. If you need anything, just call me ok ? Or scream if you have too. “

I just chuckled at her who's now walking out of the clinic.

“ I should have just eat my meds last night if I know I'm gonna end up with more medicine. “

 

I shifted my gaze to the bowl on the tray at the side table which was my lunch just now. That made me to think about Key

at how annoying he is while taking care of me. I believed whoever under his care will end up becoming more sick than what

they already are. Take me as an example, I feel like my head are gonna explode in any moments because of his lectures.

But because I'm not in a good condition, I just let it slide and forced my ears to take what he had for me. But the funny thing is,

I can still see his sincerity in between although he thought he's done a great job hiding it by repeating,

 

“ You're in my ' YOU OWE ME ' list. “

 

And one more thing, can you believe that I had some weird thought on him while he carry me to the clinic ?

While looking at his face up close I'm able to have these in my minds.

 

* Woah ! He's so handsome and pretty at the same time. How can I never realize that before ? *

* I'm sure gonna date him if he's being nice to me from the start. *

* How does we looks like when he's carrying me bridal style ? *

 

I know that was ridiculous right ? That was the weirdest, terrible, creepy, gross thoughts that I had ever in my minds.

I guess, your mind won't be at a stable state if you're sick, which cause you to get something beyond your imagination in your

mind. Then a phone ringing broke me from my daze. I looked around and I'm sure that was not mine since I left mine in my

bag at the class. I saw a black phone nearby the bed, on top of the coffee table.

 

“ Is it the nurse's ? “

Slowly I get myself up and approached the table.

“ Wait. This is Key's. “

 

I easily recognized it once I saw a little pink stripes at the back cover of the phone. I took the phone but then it's stops ringing

so I just bring it along with me to the bed.

 

“ Since he left it here .. “

I had this crazy idea in my mind and decided to just go with it.

“ Let see .. messages ? Nope, too private. Pictures ? Yes. “

 

I clicked on the ' Almighty Key ' folder and browse the pictures inside it. He sure do love to take selca since he got almost like

100 in it.

 

“ OMG ! WHAT IS THIS ? “

 

I closed my eyes when I saw his picture half . He took a selca of him without a shirt ? What was that for ? I took a peek

on it again with my eyes half closed,

 

“ What ? He got nothing. No packs ? Wait .. 1 .. 2 .. ok that was fine since he also had a skinny body. “

 

I keep on looking at that picture that I thought really grossed me out just now, but then soon it turned to be a nice picture

to be looking at. Why ? Because of his milky skin.

 

* Are you a ert Amber Liu ? *

 

So, quickly I go to the next picture since I don't want myself to be more weirder after this. I browsed every each of the pictures

and I must say I was having fun with it.

 

 

 

I was so bored after that since I had to wait until the school ends before I can go back so I decided to play some of the games in

his phone. I can't help it, I'm a game addict anyway. I don't know for how many hours already I spends my time with the games

until I heard Sulli's voice.

 

“ Amber unnie, you're awake ? “

“ Huh ? Sulli ? Is the school ends already ? “

“ Yes. Krystal and Minho oppa will be here in a while with Key oppa. And Luna unnie were on her way from your class.

She get the bag for you. “

“ Really ? Aish .. I did it again. I cause a lot of trouble for you guys. “

“ Nah. It's was nothing. “

 

I quickly quit the game and just smiled at Sulli. Few minutes after that Luna came also with Minho oppa, and Krystal but then

once I saw Key walked in, I become so restless. Why ? Because I just noticed that I had used his phone until his battery

left only one bar.

 

* Damn ! I'm so dead ! *

 

“ Hey , have you see my phone ? I thought I left it over here somewhere. “

He asked while searching for it.

At first I just ignored him and just packed my stuff up but when we're ready to walked out I quickly handed him the phone.

“ What ? You had this with you all the time yet you just let me searched for it like a fool ?

“ “ I just feels so bored. “

“ So ? “

“ I .. kinda .. “

He looked at me suspiciously.

“ Well .. I just .. “

Before I can even finish my words I saw his phone started to blinked repeatedly and lastly it turned off.

“ Eh ? How come there's no battery .. I thought .. “

He then shot me a glare and by just a look I know I've been caught off guard.

“ Amber Liu ! “

“ Sorry ! “

 

I quickly rushed out and hided next to Minho oppa who had this ' A ghost has been chasing you or something ? ' look at me.

 

“ It's Key oppa. “

“ YAH ! LEAVE THAT TOMBOY TO ME ! HOW DARE SHE TOUCHED MY PHONE ! “

He was dead furious right now.

“ Whatever that she did this time. Just let it slide first, she's not well enough Key. “

Yes, I knew Minho oppa will help me out with this.

“ FINE ! I'LL COME BACK TO YOU ! REMEMBER THAT ! “

He gave his most death glare to me which really made my heart to raced like crazy.

* Aish ! Amber Liu ! You just created a mess. *

 

 

 

Key's POV

 

“ That Tomboy can really pulled a great act. “

I mumbled annoyingly while looking at Amber who to me just acted sick in front of the gang.

“ She's sick hyung, not pretending. “

This maknae of mine always had something to backed her up.

“ She is before but I'm sure she's totally fine right now. “

I noticed the maknae just shook his head while looking at me.

“ No way ! Onew hyung is here ? “

“ Yup. I called him to pick Amber's up. “

“ Mworago ? Yah ! You guys spoiled that kid too much. “

“ Are you going to carry her if she happen to collapse again hyung ? “

“ Watch your tone Taem. “

He just mouthed a ' Sorry ' to me.

 

I saw the girls joined Amber to go back with Onew hyung leaving the boys out well except for Krystal, I bet it's because

of Minho.

 

“ One more room to fit in. Who's with me ? “

He's shouting like a bus driver will do and Taemin immediately raised his hands up before ran towards his car leaving me

dumbfounded.

“ Yah ! Lee Taemin, how dare you leaved me with this Minstal ? “

“ I'm so tired today, so bye hyung. “

My day are getting worse and worse. I didn't took a proper lunch because of my homework, I got involved in that Tomboy's

matter which something that I didn't expect I will do and to add it some more, my ears were suffered because of Minstal's

cheesy conversation, well for Minstal, add my jealousy too into it.

 

“ What's with the frown face ? “

I was startled when I saw Onew hyung already inside my room.

“ Nothing. Blame the bad day. “

I lazily answered while heading towards my bed.

“ Your mom called me. “

“ Huh ? “

“ She said she couldn't reach you. “

“ Dead battery. “

I pointed at my phone that still being charge on the desk.

“ Call her back later on. “

Next Morning

 

I was awaken by the sudden coldness that touched my skin. I took a peek and saw that my blanket are no where to find.

Lazily I get myself up and looked at the clock on my desk.

 

“ 6.00 ? “

 

It's still early for me, but I don't think I can continue my sleep again after that, so I just headed towards the bathroom.

After done with the shower, I put on something comfortable, took my phone with me and headed downstairs to make

something for the boys. While waiting for my phone to start up, I prepared the ingredients for the cooking.

 

“ Owh .. Umma. “

 

I pick up the phone and about to dial her number when my eyes caught the wallpaper on my phone.

My handsome picture were replaced by her photo with a peace sign pose along with a bubble speech next to it and it's written

' THANKS ' there.

 

“ Jeez .. what was this for ? “

 

I was smiling the whole time and decided to just kept her picture as the wallpaper and use it to annoy her later.

Haha .. I'm so bad.
