Chapter 1

Is the question I can’t get out of my mind, it’s the question that I keep on remembering, It’s the only question that I can’t forget because it’s the only question she ask that until now I still regret my answer to her and now I’m here again to the place where it all started.

It was my first day of college when I met her. I was walking in the park and don’t know where to go, I was basically lost, it was my first time in the city and I don’t know where is the university. I got tired so I sit on the park bench looking at the map and losing hope so I give a big “SIGH” looking down to the ground. While I was looking at ground I saw pink shoes that stop in front of me and I looked to see the person who owns that shoes that stand in front of me. And that was my first time seeing so much beauty wearing eye smile that smiling at me. I was so dazed that I snapped out of it when I heard an angel voice asking me.

~ “Are you lost?”

With a dazing face I tried to answer her question.

~ “ Y-Yeah, I don’t know where this university is.”

~ “Ohw! I know where it is I’m actually going there, come on I’ll guide you there.”

She suddenly grabbed my hand and pulled me as I try to gather my things. I was stunned and confused that I can’t even say a word I just tried to keep up with her and keep on running. And I thought to myself “ Why am I running with this girl that I don’t even know holding my hand”. Finally after a long run she suddenly stop and I tried to catch my breath from that long run, I’m not good in running.

~ “Where here! Tadah!” no sign of tiredness and still wearing that smile.

~ “Hah. Hah. Ah, that wasn’t so far after all, T-Thanks for guiding me here” still in deep breathing.

~ “Yeah, no problem”

She’s still holding my hand and we went in together. A loud voice was heard rushing toward us whining.

~ “Yah! Why are you late? Come on let’s go”

~ “hehe, It’s not that late Jessica”

She let go of my hand and they run toward the building and I was left there alone thinking “What the hell” I was grabbed by that eye smile girl and make me run this far and just left me here without saying goodbye. Making me more realize, I don’t even have the chance to ask her, her name.

Still thinking to that eye smile girl I was on my way to my class. I kept on walking with my head down looking the ground and as I was closer to the room I felt a bump on me and I looked up to see who I bumped and I saw again that beauty that eye smile girl.

~ “Ah, Sorry”

~ “ Hey, your that eye smile girl”

~ “Eh? Oh, your that lost girl in the park earlier”

~ “ Y-Yeah”

~ “So, looks like we’re gonna be in same class?”

~ “EH?!”

~ “By the way I’m Tiffany Hwang nice to meet you again”

-ah, that eye smile again.

~ “oh, ahm I’m Kim Taeyeon nice to meet you too.”

-What kind of coincidence is this? First I met her in the park and she even drag me here and I thank her for that and now she’s even in the same class as me? And finally I know now her beautiful name.

I didn’t realize I was spacing out again.

~ “Hey! Better hurry the class is about to begin”

~ “Y-Yeah”

And that is how I met her that eye smile girl named Tiffany Hwang, ever since that day we always meet at the park and go to school together, we became best friend we always do things together we’ve been always so close that we can’t be separable. That was all I thought but One day while I was waiting for her at the park.

~ “Arggh, where is that girl? She’s late”

Few minutes later a familiar voice heard calling my name.

~ “TAETAE! Sorry I’m late”

~ “Yah! What took you so long? You know how long I’ve waited here?”

~ “Yeah, I know that’s why I’m sorry c’mon TaeTae don’t be angry” giving me that pitiful face with that puppy look.

How can I be angry with that face she makes.

~ “Why are you late anyway?”

~ “OH! That reminds me I buy you this TaeTae that’s why I’m late”

She excitedly grabbing her bag searching for that thing she bought to give me.

~ “Here Tae this is for you” Wearing that joyful eye smile that I always like to see.

~ “What is this”

~ “It’s a best friend necklace, I have one too, see?” pointing to the necklace on her neck

~ “So that you won’t forget me when I’m gone to the LA”

That’s right She’s going to LA with her parents, her father was assigned there and her father wants’ her to study there. They’re living the day after tomorrow that’s why we meet today to spend more time together before she leaves.

~ “Yeah, thanks” sadness is forming in my face

~ “I’m gonna miss you TaeTae, don’t you forget me” Teary eye

~ “Ofcourse I’m not gonna forget you, I’ll miss you too” controlling my eyes from forming into tears

~”Anyway aren’t we gonna spend this day happily? So stop that sadness your making”

~ “Y-Yeah” making her best to stop her crying face

~ “ So where do you want to go?”

We tried our best to enjoy that day together, to spend the last day together happily before she leaves. We did all things like shopping, strolling etc.

The day end we said goodbye to each other but I don’t want to see her go because it only makes my heart ache even more seeing her walking away from me so I said we walk on separate ways together with no turning back to see the other walk away but as we walked I can’t help myself from turning back to see her, I can’t take it seeing her slowly moving away from me, I can’t help it I shout her name “Tiffany Hwang!” as she turn her back to me I run towards her and gave her hug.

~ “Taeyeon?”

~ “You take care yourself there, ok? I’m gonna miss you” tears forming in my eyes

~ “hehe, I’ll always contact you, ok?”

We hugged each other so tight for few minutes before we parted. As she slowly fading to my view I kept thinking to myself. Will I ever see that eye smile again? Will I ever have the guts to tell her the truth, that I’ve fallen for her, will I ever have the chance to tell her “I Love You”. Tears starts to fall again in my cheeks.

The day has come the day we’re she’s gonna leave to LA the day she’s gonna leave me. standing from afar I’m just there watching her plane fly away from me.
