** LISA'S POV **

 

I don't have time to wait for Jennie to wake up since i have work and need to meet this person that i have urge to punch.

 

 

 

So i left a note in the fridge as i cook breakfast and also bought dog food for Kuma.

 

 

 

I had to finish this meeting with this client and go home at peace. 

 

 

 

" Oy Lisa "

 

 

Seungri oppa was calling me but then i ignored because of this emotions that i felt before attending the meeting.

 

 

 

" Yah Lalisa " 

 

 

 

I turned around and look at Seungri with a poker face.

 

 

 

" Boss needs you in the conference hall " 

 

 

 

" I know "

 

 

 

" Get your heads together, you'll meet another engineer from New Zealand who is very ... "

 

 

 

" I know " i cut him off

 

 

 

" You knew? " 

 

 

I just ignored Seungri oppa because i knew who is he already.

 

 

 

I know what he did.

 

 

 

I know what's his purpose in dealing in our company.

 

 

 

I know what is he into.

 

 

 

Why he asked the CEO to work for him.

 

 

 

When i enter the conference hall, 

 

 

 

I saw him and clenched my fist as i tried my best to calm down. 

 

 

 

" Hello, Engineer Manoban. Have a seat, darling " The CEO of our company greeted me

 

 

 

So i just bowed and sit down. 

 

 

 

Thinking of me punching his face. 

 

 

That'll be rude but i already killed him in my mind. 

 

 

 

" Engineer Manoban, this is CEO Kim and also an engineer. " The CEO of my company smiled

 

 

I just looked at him and bowed a little.

 

 

 

" Nice to meet you, Ms. Manoban. It's been a while " he smiled

 

 

 

I tried my best not to show how angry i am right now as he said that.

 

 

 

" Oh, you know each other? "

 

 

 

" She's my daughter's bestfriend " He smiled and giggled

 

 

 

How dare you to call Jennie your daughter in front of me. 

 

 

 

" Please proceed to the project " i said coldly and looked at the CEO of our company.

 

 

 

Accepting the fact that i need to work for this person for a half yeat is annoying. 

 

 

 

Meeting Jennie's father again just annoyed me.

 

 

 

After all the tears Jennie shed for him made me want to kill him.

 

 

 

Jennie never wanted the family to be scattered just like the other broken family. 

 

 

 

She love her family so much and she was very inspired to be successful like them because Jennie really adore them.

 

 

 

But then one night, I walk Jennie home and heard plates being thrown in somewhere hard for it to  break. 

 

 

 

I never let Jennie open the door, I hid her in my back and open it. 

 

 

 

Where i saw her both parents in their throat, Shouting and fighting. 

 

 

 

I already knew that this will happen. 

 

 

 

" I'm so done with you! " her father shouted as he leave bumping me.

 

 

 

Jennie shouted and stopping his dad from entering the car but he just left with both of them crying. 

 

 

 

" Jennie, stop crying " i said as i kneeled and wiped her tears.

 

 

 

She hugged me and crying in my shoulders repeating that her father just left them. 

 

 

 

" Lisa, dad left. He left us " she cried

 

 

 

I let her cry and cry in my shoulders that night. Jennie was fragile and those people whom she trust just hurt her that easy. 

 

 

 

" Jennie, i'm here. " 

 

 

 

I never left til she fall asleep because she was already tired of crying while her mom is still in daze in the dining area. 

 

 

" Aunt Kim, i'll go now " 

 

 

 

But her mom didn't response. 

 

 

 

And i look at the floor. 

 

 

 

All i can is broken plates and it is dangerous for them to step in here. 

 

 

 

All i did was clean it for them.

 

 

 

Both of them are hurt.

 

 

 

I don't want them to get hurt also from these. 

 

 

 

So i cleaned it before i left. 

 

 

 

 

And it really hurts me everytime i saw Jennie and her mom crying. 

 

 

 

They're like my family also without Mom and Dad in here. 

 

 

After the meeting, i quickly leave the conference room and wanted to breakdown but this won't work so i just shift my attention on all my responsibilities in the company and be productive. 

 

 

 

Then i heard someone knocking on my door.

 

 

 

" Lisa. Can you look after Kuma? " 

 

 

 

And i saw Jennie carrying Kuma in her hands as she walk towards me.

 

 

 

" Ofcourse, Jennie " 

 

 

 

Jennie then gave me Kuma and i start petting him.

 

 

 

" You seems very stressed? What's with the face? " 

 

 

I just sighed and i don't even want to let her know that her father is here.

 

 

It will probably stress her out also. 

 

 

 

" I need some break, i guess? " 

 

 

 

" Jisoo just invited us to go to her birthday and she's celebrating it in Jeju. " 

 

 

 

 

" Are you going? " i asked

 

 

 

" If you're going " 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

" Then we're going " i said
