Typing away, I lifted my head to release some neck stress from the day. It was really funny how we each led a life full of anticipation for the next day but could not revel in the moment completly.  The utter quiet in the room was now almost weird given the day that just finished. It was 10 at night now, I should finish and sleep soon, otherwised I'd be groggy at work tomorrow.

Going through the document one last time, I hit save and uploaded the file for viewing by the home country over the next few hours. After which I'm sure would be a lot of follow-ups and all. Just shrugging those dreadful thoughts I started switching off the lights, when Ray came up to the bedroom door..."Mom...." he slowly called up to me dragging his favorite fluffy blanket with him. 

"Yes honey.." as I went and picked him up, " what happened dear? Why the long face?"

"Mom I had a bad dream and its not nice inside. Can we go to the terrace for a little while?" His puppy eyes instantly melted me before I could voice any sort of protest.

"Yes dear..." I grabbed a thicker blanket for him and headed out to the terrace at our level. It was the10th floor of the place and would pretty much be empty now I guessed as I glanced one last time towards the watch. It was quarter to 11. Hope he sleeps soon I thought as I bundled him and prodded if he would like to listen to a story.

We reached and settled into a chair as the light from the lobby helped guide my way on the terrace while I lulled Ray with stories. After a few minutes he fell asleep with just humming, as was his habit. The night was clear and cool, and I decided to spend a little more time on the terrace before heading back in. Bundling Ray up in the blanket I took him close to me when a slight chill ran through my spine. 'It must be colder than I thought, just when they said spring is arriving, I thought aloud to myself'.

"You might catch a cold if you dont cover yourself....' a voice from behind me, startled me almost springing me out of my seat...

"here...hey hey...sorry I did not mean to startle you."

It was Suho-ssi. His calm face was the same as I saw in the morning. "Do you mind..?" he said pointing to a chair near me.

"No not all, please do..." as I shuffled to adjust myself in the chair.

Putting a coat he had in his hand around me, he settled down in his chair, partly facing the view but mostly towards me. We had a healthy distance between us too.
