Just as we finished drying off and I headed to the kitchen to make some warm food for our cold bodies, the door bell rang.

"Mom..." Ray popped up from the sofa only his head visible from where I was. I knew what this meant. Race time!

"Ok honey! but lets start from the middle.." as I headed to the corridor, Ray joined me. Before I could even utter..."Start"

And he rushed too the door already trying to open it but obviously not able to reach the lock.

"Ray!!! That was cheating!!" I payfully nudged him and started tickling him picking him off the floor, and opening the door. 

"Ohh...Annyeonghaseyo...."I looked puzzled at the two men at my doorway.

"Ne... Annyeonghaseyo..This is for you and Ray, we noticed you got drenched, so made some warm Korean soup." Junmyeon ssi handed me a pot of warm soup.

"Annyeonghaseyo!!! Anieyo..actually hyung thought about it, I did not see you. (Heheh) ........uhh....here.....please be careful its hot," the guy behind now talked coming in front slowly when I realized who he was.

"Ohhh..ne..." shocked by both him and the weight and heat of the pot of soup now in my hands. 

"Hehe..sorry did not mean to startle you..I hope you are doing well." Bowing he looked down to Ray who was now playing in the folds of my long dress peeping out occassionally to look at the new uncle. He was shy like that, at times all of a sudden. "Hey there buddy" Sehun got down on his knees to talk to him and started playing with him, all while we were in the same position and the pot in my hands. Junmyeonssi suddenly took the pot from my hands, "Here please let me hold this...while he..."

"Hyung!! why dont you put it on the counter for noona..."Sehun suddenly got up and prodded him towards my dining table. 

"Sehun, you cannot just barge into anyone's home, and what's with your manners, you are talking banamaly with her now!" He was reprimanding Sehun ssi when I suddenly spoke up.

"Anieyo..." I directed my hand to ask him if he could help me put the pot in. I had been told to never turn down a neighbours sweet gesture especially when they come bearing food. But little did my culture teachers know who my neighbours were!

The day had taken another turn, now we were all in the living room and I was grabbing cutlery and some side dishes to go with the soup. Looking over towards them, I could see Ray had now opened up with Sehun-ssi and was playing quite well with them. Suddenly Junmyeon ssi looked up and our eyes were locked for a brief instance making me blush so hardly that I had to turn around pretending I did not just do that. I was smiling and I did not know why I did that, when he walked into the kitchen.

"Please do not bother yourself with much, I just came to give you the soup. We have disturbed you enough, maybe we should take your leave now.." he said looking somewhat expectantly towards me but with somewhat sad eyes.

"Oh no no... please you have been too kind! And I am not sure just the two of us could finish such a big pot of soup. Sharing it would be much fun especially on a damp day like this. Please do have some early evening snack with us before you leave."

"Thank you soo much!" he did not wait a second before answering and his face was lit again, when he came over to take the bowls from my hand and our hands slightly brushed each others. I almost shrieked and one of the bowls felt down. Sehun and Ray were already on the table and asked if all was ok. Breaking ourselves from the moment we headed towards the table.
