The three of us stumbled into the nurse's office just as the bell rang, signaling the end of class and the start of a rush of students.

"Mei!" Mingyu exclaimed and grabbed my arm, saving me from a nasty fall as I tripped over a backpack (probably mine) that was carelessly left lying around.

"Are you okay?" Hoshi asked and I was shocked by the sincerity in his voice.

"Uh, yeah. I'm fine," I replied. I heard a muffled scoff and when I looked at Jeonghan, I could tell he didn't believe a word of what I had just said. But before he could call me out, Jun's voice cut through the room.

"Have we met?" He stood and approached Seungkwan who was hovering right behind me. Seungcheol, on the other hand, lagged behind, over by the door.

"Briefly," Seungkwan replied, extending a hand out for Jun to shake. "You visited Mei in the hospital while the two of us were ward-mates. I'm Seungkwan."

"I'm sorry," Jeonghan interrupted the exchange, throwing daggers at Minghao with his eyes. "Did you say hospital?"

Minghao shot Jeonghan terrifyingly cold smirk, but before yet another attempted homicide could take place, Seungkwan followed up with a piece of information that kept all the attention on himself.

"I'm one of her bonded."

A deafening silence enveloped the room.

And then, "ah, so she enslaved you, too."

I opened my mouth tell that psychopathic redhead off, but Seungkwan beat me to the punch.

"Actually, we formed a relationship based on mutual trust and understanding. But I wouldn't expect you to understand that."

Minghao opened his mouth to--no doubt--try to out-sass the sass master, but Seokmin beat him to it.

"Pleasure," he acknowledged, in his very typically gentlemanly way. I thought it was a bit out of character for him to stop someone from hating on me and my ability, but he really did look tired. He probably just wanted to avoid a headache-inducing argument.

"And the rest of you are?" Seungkwan asked addressed the room.
