~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After preparing breakfast, BoA went to Yoobin’s room to wake her up since the night before she had fallen asleep before BoA ended her conversation with Yoochun, but when she opened the little girl’s bedroom door she found her crying.
BoA ran to her daughter only to be pushed away and receive a glare.
“Don’t touch me! I hate that guy! I hate you!...” The little girl said wiping her tears angrily.
“You and dad…you fought because of him!” Yoobin ended and ran downstairs.
BoA sighed as she tried to stop the tears from falling from her eyes and followed her daughter.
And from then, the day started going downhill for her…
The message of Jaejoong saying he will go to visit her at her house didn’t cheer her up at all because she was really hurt about Yoobin’s words, but she couldn’t say no, because she knew that somehow he will always made her feel better.
So after a tiresome day at work BoA returned home with Yoobin in silence because when she tried to talk with her daughter she didn’t receive a response.
Their dinner was also in silence and BoA couldn’t stand it anymore, but Yoobin was already going to her room before her mother could try to talk again.
The little girl had only talked to her father on the phone when he called and after that, the silence covered the place again; and BoA just watched her leave wondering what she should do to stop this silent treatment from her daughter.
It had never happened before between them, because BoA had only experienced that with Junsu, when the little boy was left alone in the house when BoA went to ride horses with Jaejoong and she wondered if Junsu could give her some tips on how to fix this situation.
But before she could call him the doorbell rang and BoA saw Jaejoong at her main door.
“Hi…” She said with a small smile not allowing him to enter.
Jaejoong responded with the same expression questioning himself why she wasn’t letting him in.
And BoA answered him before he could ask.
“Yoobin is really affected because of what happened yesterday. I can’t even talk to her now…so I don’t think you should enter…and I can’t go anywhere with you either… I need to talk to her and explain everything before I can meet you again…” BoA said sighing.
She felt sad because of Yoobin and guilty towards Jaejoong because as much as she wanted to be with him, at this moment it was too difficult.
She didn’t want to let him go, but Yoobin was more important now.
“Are you giving up on me…again?” Jaejoong asked with a shocked tone.
“That’s not what I mean…” BoA tried to explain, but stopped when Jaejoong held her hand.
“I’ll keep waiting if you aren’t giving up. I won’t let you go this time. The first time was a mistake to not give my all, to not express everything I felt. But…I still don’t understand why you let yourself be treated like that by that guy…I thought he was part of your past.” Jaejoong said holding BoA’s hand tighter.
“I just don’t want to fight anymore with him in front of Yoobin…she is really affected…” BoA said softly.
“Is it everything about her all the time?” Jaejoong asked a bit exasperated.
“Yes, it is!” BoA said letting go of his hand.
This wasn’t the kind of conversation she wanted to have with him. She expected soothing words, not reproaches.
“Are you sure you have a place for me in your heart?” Jaejoong said sadly.
“What are you saying now? You promise to be there for me as a friend, but now you are acting like this?” BoA said feeling hurt.
“You know I don’t want to be only your friend…I was hoping that by spending more time with you we could get closer, but you keep putting a wall between us….” Jaejoong said hurt and as BoA mentioned her child’s name again Jaejoong exploded.
“If you only worry about Yoobin’s feelings then just let yourself be used again by that guy!” Jaejoong almost shouted.
And BoA couldn’t take it anymore after hearing his words.
All her anger she had tried to suppress the last days made her explode and after her unexpected reaction Jaejoong could only stand in his place in shock.
His now redden cheek burned as BoA’s hand dropped by her side.
And with tears forming in her eyes she turned her back at him and entered her house.
******************************************************************
Yoochun wasn’t feeling any better after the fight he had with BoA and he had gone to the bar near his house to drink the night before.
And today even when talking with Yoobin made him happy, when he mentioned BoA’s name his daughter started to get mad at him too, so he didn’t know how to approach them again without making any of the two girls angry. So he decided to go to the bar again.
In there he met someone he had been avoiding for the last couple of weeks. That girl Yoobin had heard him talking on the phone with. The same girl that made him realize how useless it was to keep trying to call BoA’s attention by doing this. Before he felt that BoA did get jealous, but now he wondered if it was what he wanted to believe.
He stood up trying to leave the place before the girl started nagging at him but she stopped him.
“We already broke up; we have nothing to talk about…” Yoochun said tiredly passing by her.
But she held his wrist making him look at her.
“Is it because of your daughter…?” She asked annoyed.
“She-…” Yoochun started talking, but she cut him with words that made him freeze.
“What if I am pregnant?”
Yoochun’s eyes widened in confusion and guilt…What had he done? Hadn’t he learned already?
These were the same questions Jaejoong had in his head as he walked back home.
He couldn’t believe he had said those words to BoA and mostly because he knew how much the kind of words he had used hurt her.
This slap was the second one he received from her, and just like the first one it was at her door.
Jaejoong still remembered her tears when he told her she shouldn’t let herself be used by the popular girls at school.
They were thirteen years old at that time and BoA had tried to become popular by serving the popular girls. The other girls would smile at her and let her go to their horse’s stables but only to clean their horses, but BoA still felt accepted by them.
They would introduce her to the boys as their friend but only if she carried their back packs and bought their lunches.
And it was just in that time when Jaejoong started having feelings for her, making him mad the way she accepted the manner in which the other girls treated her.
BoA had said she didn’t care, that she felt accepted and that she could happily tell Junsu she had many friends at school, making Jaejoong wonder if he was not enough of a friend for her.
And now it was the same.
He wanted be more than a friend. He wanted BoA to be true to herself. And he wanted to understand the point of BoA just worrying about Yoobin’s thoughts and feelings.
So before he reached his house he decided to go to another place as he called Junsu on the phone.
They went to the bar, the same bar Yoochun had been drinking. And as they went in Jaejoong collided with a fuming Yoochun leaving the place, but neither of them noticed the other person’s face; Yoochun being too focus on his thoughts and Jaejoong distracted by Junsu’s ringing phone.
“It was from the newspaper, the morning meeting was cancelled so we can drink till morning.” Junsu said with a sheepishly smile knowing he couldn’t handle too much alcohol as Jaejoong.
But Jaejoong didn’t return the smile making Junsu worried.
“What happened hyung?” He finally asked after he had met Jaejoong at the door of the bar.
“I don’t know where to start…” Jaejoong answered honestly.
And Junsu just looked at him encouraging him to continue, but as Jaejoong started talking, Junsu noticed a familiar figure sitting in one of the tables.
Jaejoong noticed his action and turned around following Junsu’s gaze.
“Do you like her?” He asked in a teasing tone feeling more relaxed for a moment.
Junsu smirked and shook his head denying Jaejoong’s statement.
“She is one of Yoochun’s girls…I had seen them together.”
“I still don’t know what BoA saw on him…she actually confessed to me that he was a player before they were together…” Junsu said with an annoyed tone as he drank from his glass. “He cheated on her, did you know that?...I wont let her suffer again..” He finished drinking again.
But Jaejoong didn’t say a word as he started playing with his now empty glass.
“What are you thinking about?” Junsu questioned.
“I tried to be her friend…but it is more difficult than I expected…to not be able to stand up for her as I want…and I know I can fight that guy as a man…but I don’t know if I am ready to be a dad…” Jaejoong finished drinking another glass of liquor in one shot.
Is the past striking on them again?
Will Yoobin see how much her mother is hurting?
Does Jaejoong finally understand what it takes to be by BoA’s side?
