Today sana will come out of the hospital… her condition is way better than before but what is bothering me is her parents… I didn’t see her since that day, the day I knew she has amnesia, but I am talking with her nurse she is updating me on her health every day, I was waiting for them by the hospital’s door, my heart skipped a beat when I saw her next to her mom, she was struggling to walk  wearing a dress, there are bruises on her face and legs, it broke my heart but I approached them, her dad was using crutches to walk because of a pain in his ankle. I stood in front of her staring at her but she is just looking at me blankly and confusingly

“So you are here? You won’t get bored?” her dad said standing next to her

“Yes sir, I won’t get bored, now may I ask where is ma’am car?”

“it’s none of your business” he said and started to go downstairs, her mom rushed to him and held his hand leaving sana alone

“You can walk?” I soft-spoken

“Hardly, I am tired” sana said, knowing her, she is not just whining or complaining, she is tired. I stood next to her and took a deep breath, wrapping her arm around my neck, I carried her bridal style

“What are you doing!!” she whined

“Taking you to the car” I said and followed her parents who didn’t look pleased with it all but all I care about is sana I arrive at the car before them, she was avoiding looking at me but god. I missed her touch so much, I opened the door and let her sit in the backseat, I put her seatbelt on and she was blushing so hard.

“Better?” I asked, she nodded and looked away and closed the door

“You can go now” her dad said sitting in the passenger seat

“Sir let me go with you, I can help ma’am” I said humbly

“Follow us? With that scooter? Haha! You will be late” he insulted and I clenched my fist.. her mom turned the engine on and I looked at sana, she was staring at me deeply but turned her head and closed the tinted window… I saw the car drifting away, I bit my lower lip and walked to my scooter and drove around in town It was Sunday I met momo at the café… I was looking around at my plate

“Ya! Eat! You already lost so much weight in the last week” she scolded

“She doesn’t know me, her eyes, her stares… nothing like before”

“she will remember you soon, don’t worry, have faith in god and yourself” she comforted me

I took a deep breath “I wish I was wealthier, if I was rich, they would accept me”

“They are the losers, you are the nicest and the softest guy on earth” she said

I smiled at her “It’s great that you are here with me”

She flipped her hair and winked playfully making me laugh, eventually, I left.

Meanwhile sana was dozing off in a deep thought until she broke the silence

“Dad, he is my friend why you treated him like this?” she said

“He is not your friend he is our enemy”

“How? He doesn’t look like one”

Her dad sighed “He tried to hit on you multiple time, he works at our company, he is greedy, for your money, I lost count about how many times you cried because of him” he lied! Seamlessly lied, her mom could only listen and frown

“I don’t get it appa, I mean he carried me here, mark is not answering my calls and my brother didn’t come but he was waiting for us” she stated

“Trying to look good, he is a snake, stay away from him and don’t make me angry! It’s for your benefit, staying away from that greedy guy”

“Arasso appa, arasso” she breathed and looked down, believing her dad’s words because that all she can do.

Few days passed the weather is colder now, I hope she is warm and eating well… every day after work I go to her house… standing outside, all I can do is look at her room, the lights are always on, I guess she never leaves her room… It was almost 7 PM when it started to rain, I stood under a tree that prevented the raindrop from falling on me until I saw someone leaving her house, I looked closer and it was her mom, holding two umbrellas she handed me one while she was holding the other one  

“Ma’am I-, Um” I murmured

“I know, you come here everyday”

“I am just worried, I think her phone is not with her and if I visited her, mister yori will probably kick me out, I got insulted enough but I am worried, is she eating well? Taking her medicines well?”

She looked at me and nodded “yes she is more healthy now, don’t worry I am taking care of her very well”

“Thanks god, you comforted me ma’am”

She patted my shoulder and gave me a paper “This is my number, call me whenever you want, and” she stopped talking “Don’t give up”

I bowed my head and she went back to the house

“Oh, honey where have you been?” yori asked as he saw his wife taking off her slightly wet coat, she got nervous

“I was checking the dog if her warm” she lied, he smiled and hugged her “sana is sleeping, I am so happy that she is okay now”

“Me too, honey, me too” she replied and smiled

Meanwhile, sana wasn’t sleeping, she was sitting on the bed frowning, a dream woke her up

She touched her heart “What is this? Pink bracelet, drawing, bathtub” she said under her breath after all she saw was these three things with a guy, anonymous guy that she doesn’t remember

“This is weird” she said and laid again, as she slowly drifted back to sleep

Today was Sunday, it was a sunny day, the last few days were full of rain and wind but today is the opposite of it… I went on noon to sana’s house, and there I saw a taxi waiting and she sat in it, I smiled and followed her with my scooter.

She went to myeondong and started to walk around on the crowded street while I followed her everywhere, her bruises are gone now and she is healthier than before… a few miles separate us and she
