Luhan cuddled in the bed, hugging the fluffy pillow tighter to his chest.

Jongin had taken him to his own apartment where he lived alone. It was a big and luxurious apartment, given the fact that he was the only son of a multimillionaire father who owns a company which will soon be passed down to him.

Jongin smiled watching Luhan sleep.

They had been friends for a long time, it almost felt to him that they had known each other for years, but it was the first time that Luhan had willingly asked him to take him home with him.

Usually the only time Luhan would come for sleepovers at his apartment was when Kyungsoo came.

It had nearly been a year now that he had started to like him more than just friends. Jongin knew that maybe it was wrong to think about his friend like that, but he couldn't help it. He wanted to be together with Luhan.

That night seeing him run like that had really given a scare to Jongin. He couldn't imagine what he would do if something happened to Luhan.

He and Kyungsoo were the only one to know that Luhan had no family so they always kept him together.

Kyungsoo even considered Luhan as his brother, and Jongin was sure that he would kill anyone who even tried to hurt him.

Jongin himself would do the same.

Maybe it wasn't loving yet. But close to it.

Luhan stirred in his sleep and his side. Jongin's smile widened at that sight of the cute boy gripping on the pillow and finally, he decided to go to sleep himself.

It had been a long day and Jongin was really tired.

As long as Luhan was sleeping peacefully, Jongin was happy.

Kyungsoo had been waiting for his two best friends in the park of the university campus for almost half an hour.

It was usual for Jongin to come late so Kyungsoo didn't give much a thought about that, but what surprised him was that Luhan was late.

Luhan was never late. Actually, he would come even before him.

Kyungsoo knew he was being a bit overdrammatic but he was worried.

He knew about Luhan's condition and the fact that he lived alone. What if he suddenly had an ashtma attack and no one was there for him?

But Luhan had told him that he was alright if he took his medications.

Still, Kyungsoo couldn't help but worry.

He was just about to call Luhan when his phone started ringing.

Kyungsoo was startled to see Jongin's name pop up. Not that he never called him, they were best friends for god's sake, but still the older felt his heart starting to beat faster.

It was a thing he didn't have control over. Kyungsoo had a crush on his best friend since high school but still, he didn't gather enough courage to speak his emotions out.

Kyungsoo had told Luhan and he was glad that the older approved of them. But the biggest problem was that he had to confess to Jongin and he was scared to do so.

He valued their friendship above his love. It would destroy him if he lost Jongin as a friend so he wanted to keep it the way they are.

Taking a deep breath to control his erratic heart, Kyungsoo accepted the call.

"Soo?" Jongin said from the other side and, instead of calming down, Kyungsoo's heartbeat accelerated even more to the point that he could hear it in his own ears.

"J...Jongin?" Kyungsoo cursed at himself in his mind for stuttering.

"Hey, Soo, I just called to let you know that Lu and I can't make it to uni today," Jongin continued.

Kyungsoo furrowed his brows. Why?

"Uhm...is everything alright? Why can't you come?" Kyungsoo asked.

"Lu woke up this morning and he's not feeling very well. It's nothing serious though," Jongin answered.

Kyungsoo's heart continued to race and this time it didn't have anything to do with his stupid crush but it was filled now with worry over Luhan.

"Where are you now?" Kyungsoo asked a bit panicky. When it came to Luhan, he really was serious.

"We're at my apartment," Jongin answered, "He slept here last night saying he was feeling alone and scared."

Kyungsoo's heart clenched painfully. Of course, poor Luhan would feel alone.

Unlike himself and Jongin, Luhan didn't have a family. Luhan had no one else in the entire world.

"I'm coming over right now," Kyungsoo said and, before Jongin could answer, he hung up.

Who cares about the lectures when your best friend needs you?

Kyungsoo got up quickly from the bench where he had sat down to wait, and he ran towards the car parking.

"Hey!"

Kyungsoo had his hand on his car's door handle and didn't bother to turn around.

He opened the door and hopped in, shutting the door back again but just as he started the engine someone tapped on the car window.

Kyungsoo was really annoyed that someone he didn't even know was disturbing him. He just wanted to get the hell out of there and go see if Luhan was alright with his own eyes.

Nonetheless, he rolled down the window.

"Hey, I was calling for you," the boy said with a bright smile.

Kyungsoo wasn't in the mood of smiling back so he just nodded his head, "I didn't think you were calling me as...ehmm...I don't even know you..."

The boy started laughing and Kyungsoo knew his patience was running thin.

"I know we don't each other," the boy said after he stopped laughing, "But...you're friends with Luhan, right? I just wanted to ask you where he is because I was looking for him and can't find him anywhere. Sehun said he doesn't know either."

Kyungsoo raised his eyebrow in confusion.

Sehun? Who the hell is Sehun?

Did Luhan know them?

"I'm Baekhyun, by the way, and Sehun and I are Luhan's friends," the boy said as is he read Kyungsoo's mind.

"Uhm...okay...I'm Kyungsoo."

Barkhyun smiled and held his hand out which Kyungsoo half heartedly shock.
