Chapter 6

 

SooSica’s POV

 

Sica walks toward Soo

 

‘ Sooyoung, can we talk? ’

 

The staff bow at me

 

‘ Sure miss Jung ’

 

Soo follows Sica at a corner

 

‘ Baby, you are beautiful tonight ’ Soo said

 

‘ Baby, I need to tell you something ’ Sica said nervously

 

‘ Ok, why are you so nervous? Are you alright? ’ Soo asks worriedly

 

‘ I’m fine, Soo...I..... ’

 

Before Sica can continues, she heard her father on stage then she heard her name been called

‘ Your father called you. Go first ’

 

‘ No, listen.... ’

 

Again, Mr. Jung called Sica

 

‘ Baby, go first. We’ll talk later ’

 

Sica don’t have a choice to go on the stage. After her father’s speech, he call Hee Chul on stage.

 

‘ Tonight I also want to announce the engagement of my daughter Jessica and Kim Chul the heir of the HC Corporation. Next month, they will get married ’

 

Sica feels her leg trembling, she looks at where Soo is standing. The taller girl just stand there without expression. When his father finish, Sica runs off the stage but Soo is not at the spot.

 

‘ Yura, have you seen Sooyoung? ’

 

‘ Sooyoung just left, she said she don’t feel well ’

 

‘ Ok thank you ’

 

‘ Congratulation miss Jung ’

 

Sica just forces a smile.

 

Sooyoung’s POV

 

After hearing the engagement, I leave the party. I drive to the Han River. My phone didn’t stop ringing. I know it’s Sica but right now I really don’t want to talk with her.

 

I see couples passing in front of me.

 

I can never be like this with Sica.

 

I wipe my tears and drive home.

 

SooSica’s POV

 

Soo just walks inside her apartment and saw Sica on the couch waiting for her.

 

‘ Baby... ’ Sica runs toward Soo and hugs her

 

The taller girl didn’t hug her back

 

‘ What are you doing here? You should be at your engagement party and not at someone else place ’

 

Sica slowly broke off the hug

 

‘ You are my lover not just someone ’

 

‘ I want to be alone, can you leave ’

 

‘ No, I know you are upset about tonight..... ’

 

‘ Upset? No, I’m hurt. Who won’t after hearing your own girlfriend is engaged to someone else ’

 

‘ I’m sorry baby, I didn’t know it. My parents...... ’

 

‘ Since when you know that guy? ’

 

‘ ............a few weeks ’ Sica said nervously

 

Soo chuckles bitterly

 

‘ That’s mean when you were not with me, you went out on a date with him? ’

 

‘ No, it’s not a date. My parents forced me ’

 

‘ You went out with him behind my back and you tell me you love me ’ Soo said in disbelief

 

Sica holds Soo’s hand

 

‘ Am I just your experience ’

 

‘ No, you know how I feel about you ’

 

Soo shakes her head

 

‘ I thought I knew but not anymore. We shouldn’t go that far the other night ’

 

‘ Are you saying that regret making love with me ’

 

‘ ................ ’

 

‘ I love you and feel nothing for him ’

 

‘ Then why you didn’t tell your parents about us if you love me that much ’

 

‘ I....I tried but I’m scare ’

 

‘ I’m tired Jessica’

 

‘ W-w-w-what do you mean? ’ Sica feels scare

 

‘ I fell in love with you the moment I had my eyes on you. You are like a princess in the castle that I can never reach. You don’t know how happy when you said you love me back. That moment it’s like a dream come true for me I also scare to wake up from that dream ’

 

Sica shakes her head

 

‘ No, everything between us is real not a dream ’

 

‘ No, you are just my dream and tonight I finally realize that it’s time to wake up from that beautiful dream ’

 

‘ No, please ’ Sica sobs

 

‘ Let’s break up ’

 

‘ No, please don’t do this. I love you ’

 

‘ Fine, then go tell your parents about us and cancel that engagement ’ Soo said

 

Soo knows that Sica won’t do that but she just hopes that she’ll said I will just give me more time and she’ll do it before the wedding but what come from Sica’s just broke her heart even more

 

‘ Believe me I really want but I can’t....even if I’m married we still......... ’ Sica said while holding Soo’s arms

 

Soo holds her tears, she didn’t let Sica finish and slowly pushes Sica’s hand away

 

‘ Seem that you already make your decision ’

 

Sica shakes her head while crying

 

‘ Don’t come here anymore ’

 

‘ Please don’t break up with me I beg you ’

 

‘ Then you make me no choice ’

 

‘ W-w-what are you trying say ’

 

‘ I will leave Korea and go somewhere that you can’t find me ’

 

‘ No, don’t......I-I-I do what you ask but please don’t leave ’

 

Soo wants to hold the crying girl in her arms but she didn’t.

 

‘ Starting now, you just my boss and I’m your employee ’

 

‘ Can we talk another day when you calm down? ’ Sica asks while crying

 

‘ Let me send you home ’

 

During the trip, Sica just stare at Soo while sobbing. When the car stops in front of Sica’s building

 

‘ Go inside ’

 

When Soo is about to walk away

 

‘ I will see you on Monday right? ’

 

‘ See you on Monday miss Jung ’

 

Sica cries even more hearing Soo called her miss Jung.

 

Sooyoung’s POV

 

I didn’t go home after I left Sica. I was sitting alone at a park.

 

Why don’t you just lied to me and tell me that you will broke off the wedding?

 

I don’t even know how long I’m here thinking about me and Sica during these past two years.

 

It’s really end between us.....

 

‘ Are you alright? ’

 

When I look up I saw a girl standing in front of me

 

‘ I’m fine ’ I quickly wipe my tears

 

‘ You are a bad liar ’ she said then sit next to me

 

I look at her

 

‘ My girlfriend just broke up with me ’ she said then looks at me

 

‘ How about you? ’

 

‘ I broke up with my girlfriend ’

 

She stares at me

 

‘ Don’t worry, I won’t ask you the reason ’

 

‘ Are you alright? ’ I slowly ask

 

‘ Not really. She broke up with me because she loves someone else ’ she wipes her tears

 

‘ I’m sure you will find someone who deserve your love ’

 

‘ Thank you. I hope for you too ’

 

‘ I broke up with her because she is engage with someone else. With a guy to be more specific ’

 

We both each other our story, after talking with her I feel a lot better.

 

‘ It’s late I need to go ’ she stands up

 

‘ Let me send you back ’ I stand up too

 

‘ It’s ok, I live near here. It’s really nice to talke to you I feel a lot better ’ she smiles

 

‘ Me too ’

 

She is about to walk away

 

‘ Wait....what’s your name? ’

 

She smiles

 

‘ I’ll tell next if you meet next time. Promise that you will tell me yours too ’

 

I smile back

 

‘ Promise, because on your way home ’

 

‘ You too ’

 

SooSica’s POV

 

Sica tries to talk with Soo but everytime she approaches the tall girl, Soo just walks away or talks with someone.

 

Near lunch, Sica heard a knock on the door and when she looks up she saw Hee Chul smiling at her.

 

‘ Oppa, what are you doing here? ’

 

‘ I come to have lunch with you ’

 

‘ Sure ’

 

They are silent inside the elevator. The elevator stops at the 5^th floor, when the door opens Sica saw Soo. The taller girl looks at Sica then Hee Chul. Soo bows and steps inside the elevator and punch the lobby. The younger girl is back facing Sica and Hee Chul. Sica feels nervous, this is really not what she wants. She don’t want the tall girl to see her with him.

 

‘ What do you want to eat? ’ he asks

 

Sica didn’t hear him because all her attention is on Soo.

 

‘ Jessica.... ’

 

‘ Yes oppa? ’

 

‘ I’m asking what do you want to eat ’

 

‘ You can choose ’

 

‘ How about Sushi? I know you love Sushi ’

 

‘ Sure ’

 

Soo clenches her fist, the moment the door opens the younger girl walks out without looking back.

 

TaeNy’s POV

 

Fany wants to talk with Tae but the older girl just ignore her. The ceo decides to treat Tae and her staff for dinner. Tae and Sunmi sit together, seeing the empty sit next to Tae, the younger girl quickly takes it.

Fany especially choose a Sushi restaurant because Tae loves sushi, well this is what she thought.

 

‘ Taeyeon, what do you want to eat? ’ Fany puts the menu in front of Tae

 

The older girl looks at Sumni

 

‘ Sunmi-ah, what do you propose to me? ’

 

‘ Hmm.....how about udon noddle? ’

 

‘ Sure ’

 

‘ Sunmi, I don’t want to be rude but Taeyeon love sushi ’

 

Sumni hesitates then said ‘ Tae, it’s allergy with seafood ’

 

Fany eyes widenen and looks at the older girl

 

‘ Since when? ’

 

Tae looks at Fany ‘ Since forever. I didn’t tell you because I know you like it ’

 

Tae turns her head away from Fany

 

‘ Why you didn’t tell me? ’

 

‘ It doesn’t matter if you know or not. Can you please stop bothering me ’

 

Fany wants to cry because of Tae’s behaviour but she knows she deserves it. During the whole diner, Tae talks to everyone except her. After diner, outside the restaurant when all the staff gone leaving just TaeNy alone. Well Tae is waiting for Sunmi and Fany needs to talk with Tae

 

‘ Tae, please stop ignoring me ’

 

‘ Miss Hwang, I’m not ignoring you. I don’t know why I should talk with you outside from work ’

 

‘ I know I did wrong and I hurt you but I really didn’t mean it. Hurting you it’s the last thing I want ’ Fany said with tears falling down

 

‘ You didn’t nothing wrong miss Hwang. It was my fault, I fell in love with a straight girl but don’t worry, I don’t feel anything about you anymore ’

 

Fany feels her heart hurt even more after hearing Tae’s words. Tae wants to hold the younger girl but she holds herself.

 

‘ Sunmi is here, I’ll leave first ’ Tae bows then walk toward Sunmi

 

Fany just watch Tae walking away talking happily with Sunmi.

 

Taeyeon’s POV

 

‘ Do you want to go drink something with me? ’

 

‘ Sure ’ she smiles at me

 

I drive at Generation bar.

 

‘ What do you want? ’

 

‘ Martini ’

 

I went toward the bartender

 

‘ One martini and whisky ’

 

I join Sunmi at our table.

 

‘ Thank you ’

 

I sit next to her

 

‘ Do you come here often? ’ she asks

 

‘ Only when I’m not happy ’

 

‘ Do you want to talk? ’

 

I just smile

 

‘ It is because of miss Hwang? ’

 

‘ Can we not talk about her? ’

 

‘ I don’t want you to hold thing for yourself ’

 

‘ I’m fine really. I’m moving on ’

 

‘ Do I have a chance? ’

 

‘ Sunmi...I...... ’

 

‘ You don’t need to answer me now. I’ll wait for you ’

 

I hold her hand

 

‘ Give me time ok? ’

 

She nods

 

‘ I won’t love you if you say yes right now ’

 

I smile and hug her

 

‘ Thank you ’

 

YulSicFany’s POV

 

The three best friends are in Fany’s living room drinking wine.

 

‘ It’s been a while since we are together ’ Yul said

 

‘ Yes, things happen ’ Fany said

 

‘ Agree. In a month, that girl is getting married ’ Yul points at Sica

 

‘ Why you didn’t tell us that you date Kim Hee Chul? We were so surprise when your father announce your engagement at the party ’ Fany said

 

‘ Omo, Sica are you alright? ’ Yul quickly wraps her arms around Sica’s when she saw tears falling down from the ice princess

 

‘ No Yul, I’m not alright. I don’t want to marry him ’ she hugs Yul while crying

 

Fany wraps her arms around Sica

 

‘ What happen? ’

 

‘ I don’t love him. My parents forced me. I don’t even know about that engagement thing until they told me the last minute ’ Sica said while crying

 

‘ The night I called, you were not with him? ’ Fany asked

 

Sica shakes her head

 

‘ You were giggling with someone. Then who is it? ’ the eyes-smile girl asks

 

Yul is staring at Sica waiting for an answer

 

‘ ...................... ’

 

‘ Sica, you can tell us anything. We are here for you well where are here for each other ’ Yul said

 

‘ Yul’s right. We are here for each other, don’t hold things for yourself ’

 

‘ I can’t tell ’

 

‘ Fany, don’t ask her. I’m sure he is too ugly that’s why she don’t want to tell us ’ Yul said it proposely

 

Fany quickly catches it and play along

‘ You are right. Sica, I can’t believe you date someone so ugly ’ Fany said while shaking her head

 

‘ Yah, my Sooyoung is not ugly. She is perfect ’ Sica blurted out

 

YulTi eyes widened

 

‘ Sica, did you just said she and not he ’ Fany asks

 

‘ Yes, it’s a she ’ Sica finally admits it

 

‘ Why that name so familiar. Right she is one of Tae’s bestfriend ’ Fany said while thinking

 

‘ I remember, she is my Yoona’s bestfriend Choi Sooyoung ’ Yul said

 

JeTi looks at Yul

 

‘ What? ’

 

‘ Your Yoona? ’ Sica asks

 

‘ From what I remember your fiancée’s name is Sunhwa not Yoona ’ Fany said

 

‘ Oh right. I forgot to tell you. I broke off my engagement with Sunhwa ’

 

‘ Your father let you? ’ Sica asks

 

‘ Yes, I told him if he refuse Yoona I’ll leave the family ’

 

‘ Wow ’ That’s all comes from Fany’s mouth

 

‘ Where is she now? Why you didn’t bring her here so we can meet her ’ Sica asks

 

‘ If you want to know how she looks like, just imagine an angel falling from heaven ’ Yul said

 

‘ Now where is your angel? ’ Fany rolls her eyes

 

‘ .........s-s-she left me ’

 

‘ What??? You said your father already accepted her. Then why she left? ’ Sica asks

 

‘ I confess to my parents after she left. My parents promised that they will help me to find her ’

 

Yul then looks at Sica

 

‘ Sica, don’t do the same mistake as me. Confess to your parents ’

 

‘ I-I-I can’t. I’m not ready. You know them, they will never accept that kind of relationsihp ’ Sica looks down

 

‘ You are not ready?? Yah...JESSICA JUNG, YOU ARE GETTING MARRY IN NOT A MONTH. YOU KNOW WHAT JUST GO MARRY THAT GUY AND FORGET YOUR SOOYOUNG ’ Fany suddenly yells

 

‘ Yah...why are you yelling at me? ’ Sica asks

 

‘ Fany is right Sica ’

 

‘ I just need more time ’

 

‘ How long are you two together? ’ Yul asks

 

‘ Two years ’

 

‘ Two years and you said you are not ready? Do you really love her? ’ Fany asks

 

‘ TIFFANY HWANG, YOU CAN’T DOUBT MY FEELING FOR HER. I LOVE HER WITH MY WHOLE HEART ’ Sica yells

 

‘ If you love her so much then you should come out to your parents ’

 

‘ Yul, I just need more time but she still break up with me ’

 

‘ Sica, this is your life. You better take the right decision or you will regret for you whole life ’ Yul said

 

‘ Girls, can you come with me tomorrow to try the wedding dress? I really don’t want to go alone with Hee Chul ’

 

‘ Sorry Sica, I can’t tomorrow. I promise my parents to go home ’ Yul said

 

‘ Me neither ’

 

‘ Then I’ll go alone ’

 

Sica looks at Fany who is drinking her wine

 

‘ You drink a lot tonight. Is everything alright? ’ Sica asks

 

‘ Not really. Taeyeon don’t talk to me well I should say she ignores me since that night ’

 

‘ Wait...that night? Am I missing something? ’ Yul asks

 

‘ I slept with Taeyeon ’

 

‘ Wow, I think we should really catch up with our news ’
