“Kyuhyun-shii…we’ll do it together, right?” Zhou Mi asks me.

Damn you, I wanted to ask Qian!

“You can make pairs of three! That would be better” the teacher says.

“We should do it with Qian!” he says all excited.

“Perfect! She can appear in the music video while we do the rest.”

“What? You don’t want?”

Your korean, damn it.

“Of course I want! Are you crazy? I don’t mind her appearing in the music video at all!”

“Alrighty then. Let’s pick a concept.”

“Let’s do a ballad.”

“Not bad, but we’ll lose.”

“So what? At least I….I mean we get to work together with Qian!”

“That’s right. A ballad then.”

After a few moments of quietness…

“You’ll write the lyrics, right?” I ask Zhou Mi.

“Yeah, but then you have to compose it.”

“. I at composing. Can’t i just sing it?”

“Well I at composing too!”

…

“QIAN!” we say at the same time.

 

LATER~(at Qian’s dancing club)

“So are you guys in that UCC contest?” Qian asks us.

“Yeah, we’re doing it together. Why?” Zhou Mi answers for me. (ugh)

“Don’t you want to participate too?” I ask her.

“I at singing. Besides, Hangeng is in SMent.”

“You don’t have to sing!” I say blocking Zhou Mi from mentioning Hangeng.

Qian hesitates.

“Then what do I have to do?”

“Dance!” i say.

Qian shows us the prettiest smile in the world.

“Do you guys really want me to ruin it?” she says laughing.

“YOU WON’T RUIN IT!” we insist.

Qian is doing aegyo omg.

“Well then…what do we do?”

 

-At café~

“So: there’s a studio we can use to compose it and then record it. Then we can pick a place or a set and make the music video.” I say.

“Wow, you’re so good at these! Have you done this before?” Qian asks me.

Zhou Mi gives me angry looks.

“We’ll start tomorrow.” I say.

“I have an exam tomorrow.” Qian says worried.

“Okay. The day after tomorrow then”

“That’s when I have an exam…” Zhou Mi says.

“Alright, then the day after the day after tomorrow!” I say getting mad. “Wait. That’s when I have an exam!”

Zhou Mi and Qian laugh.

“Fine. We’ll have to divide. Hmm…we should go by this order: composing, lyrics, recording and lastly, the music video.”

“Then what? Oh, and neither of us can compose.” Zhou Mi says.

“You can try…” Qian says. “I’m sure you’ll do well, just try, Zhou Mi jie!”

I hate you both.

“Then I’ll sing the whole song. How’s that?”

Zhou Mi gives me a bad look.

“Right, that’s very fair.” he says pissed off.

Qian looks at us like we’re two bombs about to explode.

“What? You’ll compose and write it, I’ll sing it and Qian will look amazing in the music video!” I say.

“Guys…” Qian says softly.

“Okay, look. We’ll sing it together. I’ll compose it and you’ll write the lyrics.” I say.

“Okay, what about Qian?”

“She can dance in the music video.”

“Well then the lyrics must fit for a dance video…”

“You mean the song?” I say.

“Yeah, whatever. We wanted to do a ballad, but it won’t go well with dancing…” Zhou Mi says.

“Let’s just make the song and we’ll see!” I say taking a bite from my cupcake.

“That’s right. Kyuhyun-shii…can you play any instruments?” Qian asks me.

“I can play piano…”

“Then you can compose it.”

Me and Zhou Mi look at each other.

“Okay!” we both say.

 

NEXT DAY…

I am walking slowly towards the instrument room with an empty brain, hoping to compose something good, when…

“KYUHYUN-shii!!” Zhou Mi scares me.

“Oh! You scared me damn you!” I say turning around towards him.

“I wrote the song!”

“ALREADY?!”

“Well, yeah…”

I take his papers and look for the song.

“Is this it?” I say pointing to a song called You and I.

“Yup!” he says all excited.

I quickly scan the song.

“Let’s go to the instrument room!” I say dragging him with me.

The instrument room is empty. I drag Zhou Mi towards the piano, sit down with him while he puts the lyrics on front of me.

“Wait. It’s only the text…” I say.

“I was going to tell you about that!”

“How do we-”

“Let me explain you how it should go: do roo do do, do roo do do…”

“Like this?” I say playing the piano with tat rythm.

“Majayo!” (=exactly)

“Let’s divide the parts and try singing it then.”

“Alright!”

 

NEXT DAY (once again…)

I walk into the cafeteria where i am supposed to meet Qian and as I see her I quickly run to her.

“Kyuhyun-shii!” Qian says excitedly.

“Qian noona! How are you? Did you do well on yesterday’s exam?”

“I did well. I think…” she says laughing.

“We finished the song!” I say taking off my coat, putting it on the chair next to Qian and sitting down.

“Already?!”

“Yeah…Zhou Mi wrote it quickly and we composed it together.”

“So you recorded it already?”

“No, we’re planning to do that today.”

I look at her and realize that I forgot to order a coffee and stand up.

“You’re getting coffee?” Qian asks me.

“Yup.” I answer.

“Get one for Zhou Mi, he’ll get here soon”

“How do you know?” I say a little jelly.

“He just texted me.”

They exchanged phone numbers?! Zhou Mi!!!

“Alright, what should I get him?”

“Aren’t you his best friend? You should know.” she says raising her eyebrow.

Qian noona, i can’t give you a bad look.

“He doesn’t really like coffee…” I say.

“Right! I was just testing you.”

I smile, she smiles back and I go. Is it just me or did that sound like a song’s lyrics?

After I get my coffee, I get back to Qian who took out a tablet.

“What tablet is that?” I ask her.

“It’s Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, I got it for Christmas.”

“It’s pretty!” I say.

“I know!” she says smiling.

Is she expecting me to call her pretty?

“A wild ZHOU MI appears!” Zhou Mi says appearing out of no where. “Zhou Mi uses BROWNIES!” he adds, walking towards us.

“It’s super effective!” Qian says stealing a brownie from him.

I take one as I put the plate on the table so he can sit down.

“Did you make these?” Qian asks him.

“No…I got them from someone.”

“Who?” I ask him raising my eyebrow like Qian did earlier.

“Donghae and Eunhyuk.”

…

“Who?” I repeat.

“They’re students here, they share the room next to me and gave me some of the bownies they made.”

“They made brownies together?!” Qian says.

“Are they gay?” I say.

“No, they’re childhood friends. Very very close.”

“To each other.” I finish for him.

“Yeah.”

“So the song is done…” Qian says while writing something on her tablet.

“It’s not recorded!” Zhou Mi says.

“YET.” I say. “At 2PM today until 5PM the studio is ours.”

“Perfect! Then…the music video…”

“I’m looking for sets!” Qian says.

“Noona, you should hear the song first.”

“Oh, alright.”

 

LATER, IN THE INSTRUMENT ROOM~

Me and Qian enter the instrument room and see two guys running around the intruments. We stop and give them weird stares.

“Victoria-shii!” one of them (with dark red hair) says.

“Hyukjae-ah…what are you two doing?”

Who?

“We were playing around.” he says laughing.

Hyukjae’s gums show up when he smiles/laughs.

“He made fun of my song!” the other guy says.

Qian laughs cutely.

“Is he your boyfriend?” Hyukjae asks her while pointing at me.

Qian starts laughing and rests her arm on my shoulder.
