You would never know how much you miss someone until they are not around that your day can’t go by without you thinking of them, their absence is like empty hollow and what confirms that their existent matters to you is when you feel more happy to see them ever again and that’s how Jessica is feeling now. She is in good mood and she knows why, it has been few days since Tiffany has returned to work after getting things taken care for her friend's loss. It's like her world is filled up again with that beautiful smile and her cheerful voice , even though sometimes she doesn't converse back but Tiffany's talkative self fills the silence.

“Hey, Tiffany" , Jessica calls for her personal nurse’s attention, she puts down her book

“Yeah” Tiffany looks up , she is busy reading something on her new medical book

“Mm, I wonder if you would like to go and help me with an gift errand ?” Jessica asks

“Yes, I’d love to as long as you don’t trick me into shopping for myself” Tiffany mentions about their previous shopping trip

“Oh that ” Jessica remembers her blunt way to give little gift for Tiffany , " I just felt like those clothes look perfect in you"

“I like them though, thank you “Tiffany flashes her eyed smile that Jessica doesn’t mean to stare but it’s too late, she never wants to blink now

“Glad you like them , we can have some more ” Jessica looks away to hide her grin

“ No , thanks , they are enough for me to wear for a whole year" Tiffany politely declines " By the way , you’re saying you are looking for a gift ?” Tiffany asks

“ Yes , it’s Hyomin’s birthday this Friday” Jessica tells

“ Oh really ?” Tiffany is excited when people talk about birthday

" She is going to be one more year older, I can't wait to " Jessica says and Tiffany just shakes her head

“ What does Hyomin like ?” Tiffany can see that Jessica’s eyes are lighten up every time Tiffany asks Jessica about her little sister , it’s like a her favorite question and something that Jessica never gets tired of telling .

Tiffany loves to hear the way Jessica storytelling her about Jessica’s and her sister’s, their teenage and childhood funny and misbehavior memories , or even their late parents sometimes . She feels honored that Jessica share stuff related to her family with her despite the facts that Jessica is so private about her life and personal stuff . Even though Jessica seems comfortable to tell her things , there is something inside Tiffany always tells her that Jessica has a lot to keep to herself , many things left unrevealed or she tries to hide it . Tiffany somehow figured that one of those would have something to do with her past love experience and Jessica’s personality.

“ Will I be that person you can confide anything and everything?” Tiffany thought

The rest of the day Tiffany was busy helping Jessica out to look for a birthday present for Hyomin’s, she even added some of her ideas to help Jessica plan the birthday party which Jessica appreciated it , however she preferred not to, given that they didn’t have such kind of birthday party for quite a long time 

“ Camera ?” Tiffany looks at an elegant special edition designed camera Jessica is looking at

“ Hyomin loved taking pictures , she has travelled a lot” Jessica says

“ Doesn’t she do it anymore?” Tiffany asks

“ She has been so busy” Jessica answers , Tiffany carefully observes Jessica , and what she can see behind a calm face is guilt and sorrow.

“ She’s gonna love it” Tiffany says

“ Isn’t it cruel to have someone giving up on their dream to just fulfill a responsibility “ Jessica doesn’t tear her eyes off the camera .

Tiffany finds it hard to answer the question , she can’t put herself in someone’s shoe because it’s not gonna fit , each of us has different reason and purpose in life .

“ I don’t know the exact answer for it” Tiffany starts , “ It would be wonderful if we could always choose what make us happy but in life , there are things we can’t control , and choice offered for different situation, sometimes what’s right may not make everyone happy but we choose it anyway” Tiffany concludes

Jessica looks up at Tiffany which Tiffany gives her a smile, Jessica responses with a subtle smile

“ Let’s grab that one” Jessica says

Tiffany frowns when she exits the lady room, Jessica is no where to be found

“ What’s a stubborn person, can’t you just wait for me where I asked you to?”Tiffany mumbles before starting to look around as she believes Jessica won’t be far .

“ Eh , where could you be ?” Tiffany can’t get a glimpse of a person in wheel chair, she starts to spin her heels around in faster pace while she holds a phone close to her ear but no answer.

“ Excuse “ Tiffany stops a shopping mall security guy

“ Yes ,M’am” He greets

“ I wonder if you happen to see a woman on a wheel chair passing by on her own” Tiffany asks hurriedly , the guy looks helpless

“ She looks quite outstanding , with pretty face , blonde hair in blue dress and red scarf around her neck on an automatic wheel chair “ Tiffany describes , she somehow is surprise with couple quality she used to define Jessica , she never thought she would hear herself saying it.

“ I’m sorry M’am , but I haven’t seen a person you’re looking for” He replies , apologetically

“ But I can help to find” He offers

“ It’s okay , thank you anyway” Tiffany thinks would be faster if she looks for her by herself .

Tiffany feels her head spinning, looking from left to right and still Jessica is nowhere to be found , no call back or any message , her frustration turns to worry . Then Tiffany sees someone standing giving away her smile behind a counter , she approaches her

“ May I use this for a minute?” Tiffany asks , but she doesn’t wait for the answer

“ Miss Jessica Jung , where are you now ? Please meet Tiffany Hwang at the customer relation counter right now , she is worried about you” Tiffany announces through a microphone which her default loud voice echoes two times louder than any operator even does.

“ Thank you” Tiffany says to a mall staff who gives her an awkward smile

A short moment later , a person Tiffany has been waiting for finally shows up, Tiffany quickly walks to her

“ Where were you ? You worried me” Tiffany says

“ You embarrassed me!” Jessica says

And that has been what a repeated sentence Tiffany keeps hearing throughout their journey back with Jessica sulking face .

The room went silence , the dead silence that Jiyeon can even hear her breathing , she knows it’s coming and it didn’t surprise her , this is sort of reaction she expected to get after what she decided to do , the right thing .

“ Jiyeon , I know you don’t like your brother but isn’t this too much?” Mr Park asks in a indifferent tone after he decides to break the silence

“ I think you know the answer president nim” Jiyeon doesn’t answer his question

“ You can’t make this thing up unless you really want to destroy the company reputation badly which in this case I think you know what I am doing for” She strongly states

“ Jiyeon” Her father calls her name with his heavy heart

“ I don’t expect you to take it well , but I think you deserve to know the truth” Jiyeon can see the disappointment in her father’s eyes , it breaks her heart too but sooner is better .

“ Why don’t you just pretend that you’ve never seen or known about this?” Mr. Park suggests

Jiyeon can’t believe what she just heard , she sarcastically scoffs . Her father always favors her brother over her but she never thought he would love him this much to even turn the blind eyes on what he is doing , an unbecoming one .

“ I can’t just do that” Jiyeon firmly states

“ Why ?” He asks unpleasantly

“ I want to make things right” Jiyeon answers

“ What’s the point ? No one is gonna hurt from this so can’t you just ignore it ?” He commands ,half begging .

“ I’m sorry to disappoint you but I can’t just act like nothing happened when it did” Jiyeon is firm “ I know you can’t too” She gets up , ready to leave , she has done her part , some weight has been lifted off her heart while other takes place .

Jiyeon can’t help but doubts if it was her to do such inappropriate thing, will her father react this way or treats it the same way , she’ll never know because this kind of thing never comes across her mind . But it doesn’t matter anymore what the answer could be , whatever will be. At least she stands up for someone who doesn’t deserves to be involved in this ugly mess. Now thinking about that someon , Jiyeon smiles again .

“Are you busy?”

“You bet, meeting and stuff”

“Well, then I won’t keep you long, just wanted to hear your voice”

“Are you ok , is everything alright?”

As simple it may sound but this matters to Jiyeon, she loves to hear this simple caring question, especially when it comes from her girlfriend

" Yes, I'm doing fine, but I suddenly miss you" Jiyeon doesn't even try to hide it , she means it and she knows Hyomin is smiling on the other side

" I miss you too" Hyomin says in her shy tone.

Jiyeon feels so much better , and forgets her trouble behind , and it's no wonder that people say when you're in love , you live again . This is an example how it gives her positive energy to know that someone thinks about her too.

“Alright, I’m gonna let you go so you finish up what you’re doing , I’ll call you later”

“Are you hanging up ?” Hyomin asks , reluctant to hang up now

Jiyeon smiles at that question, she can imagine Hyomin’s pouting face as her sad voice indicates that she wants to talk to her longer

“I’d love to bother you all day but I’m afraid that you might not finish up your work and you might cancel my date”

“Oh , that’s right” Hyomin seems to remember something “Jiyeon , I’m sorry but I don’t think I can make it tonight , Jessica just asked me to come home for dinner with her tonight , you know it has been quite sometimes that I had dinner with her”

“No worries, we can make it later “

Though a bit disappointed, Jiyeon sounds understanding as much as possible to make Hyomin not to worry

“I’m sorry I was going to call you earlier but got caught up”

“Nah, it’s okay”

" Thanks Jiyeon, also, I'm meeting with .... Eunjung for the project architecture plan"

" And what's about it?" Jiyeon asks

" Are you okay with that?" Hyomin asks

" Of course, if it's not we wouldn't get her to help in this project, though it's more like my brother tries to add her in" Jiyeon laughs away, it's her brother shameless effort to include Eunjung in this project , but she agreed on it not because of her brother but because of Eunjung's exceptional talent and experience

" But if you're not comfortable with it, you don't have to do this , I'll get it taken care" Jiyeon tells

" Nah, I'm okay with it, I just wanted to let you know" Hyomin says and Jiyeon knows what she means , and she feels honored that Hyomin cares about her feeling

"Thanks for that , and just for you to know , I trust you, that all matters" Ji
