Chapter 6

Romeo and Juliet in Seoul

As U-Kiss prepared to rap their performance of "Talk To Me" at the benefit concert, Cho sat backstage with the rest of her group members and tried not to hypervenilate. When she and Dongho were making out, coming out as a couple seemed great, but now that she'd thought about for long enough, she was super nervous now. She told Michelle what Dongho was planning to do a little while ago and now they were both scared. Michelle didn't know how management would take the news and Cho was terrified of Dongho's fans. Some were nice, but most tended to be a bit obsessive. Michelle looked at Cho and noticed her beginning to sweat,

"Cho, chill, isn't this what you want?" Michelle said. Cho began to think. Maybe she did want this; she was definately getting tired of hiding, and if they'd have been caught by the paparazzi, they'd become a scandal. She knew it was much better to do it this way instead. She took a deep breath and tried to recollect her thoughts.

"It's not whether or not I want this that's the problem, becuase I do, it's going out in front of all those people. You know how fans get, Michelle," Cho said. Michelle understood and nodded. She then put her arm around Cho's shoulder,

"Well, if you need someone to vent to within the next two minutes, you can count on me," Michelle said playfully, trying to lessen the tension. Cho smiled but quickly lost that facial expression when she heard Dongho's voice on the microphone. The music had stopped by now and she knew that it was time. Michelle felt her nervousness and tried to calm her down by rubbing her shoulders.

"Just relax," Michelle told her constinantly, but she fell silent as Dongho began to speak.

"You guys," he began, "You seriously have no idea how much of an honor it truly is to have performed for you today, fighting for a cause and entertaining fans at the same time was such a blast for all of us," he said. The crowd burst into cheers. Cho was surprised that something so basic, yet thoughtful, could get this much attention. This reminded her of his crazy fans, and heightened her nervousness. Dongho waited for the cheers to die down. When they did, he said,

"Well, I have something else much more important to tell you guys," the crowd fell silent waiting on his next statement. Cho took a huge deep breathe and tugged on the ends of her hair. Michelle took a deep breath, too, Cho's mood was contagious. Dongho continued,

"Recently, I'd been, um, hanging out with someone," as he spoke, the other U-Kiss members weighted on his every word, just like the crowd; they had no idea what Dongho could've been talking about, except for Eli of course. But even he was nervous of the crowd's reaction to what he thought Dongho was about to say. Dongho continued,

"Actually, I've been hanging out with someone...special, extremely special," the crowd erupted into whispers, they clearly weren't sure what he was talkinf about.

"And with you guys being my fans, I figured I'd share this special person with you," as he said that Cho closed her eyes trying to calm down. The she had an epiphany.

If Dongho was this serious about her, so serious that he'd risk a huge portion of his fan base just to openly be with her, than she was nothing more than a lucky girl. She had no reason to be so nervous about this, Dongho clearly cared about her and had her back, and it was time for her to do the same. She stood up and walked over the backstage door that they had to go through to get on center stage. Michelle noticed this, and was scared for Cho at first, but calmed down when she saw how newly confident Cho was. Dongho contineud, hoping that Cho would be there for him,

"You guys, if you don't know what I'm talking about, well then here goes nothing. I want to introduce you all to my smart, gorgeous, and absolutely amazing girlfriend, Cho," he said, smiling wide.

The crowd was obviously shocked, but luckily, most of them seemed to approve. They were smiling and seemed genuinely happy for him instead of crazy and jealous. Of course, netizens were another story completely, but he didn't really care about them. Dongho extended his hand in the direction of the stage door.

Cho walked out confidently, but not arrogant. She had a wide smile on her face but you still tell she was nervous, naturally happy, but still nervous. Kevin and Kiseop exchanged awkward glances and didn't know what to make of the situation but after Eli started clapping for Cho and Dongho, the rest of the members joined in, Kevin and Kiseop were reluctant, but they still clapped. Surprisingly to Dongho and Cho, the crowd began to clap too. They gave eachother a huge hug and were visibly elated. Michelle started clapping from backstage and egged on the other members of G², who began clapping too. However, the crowd, as expected, got an idea of their own. Dongho and Cho both blushed when they recognized what the crowd began cheering.

"Kiss her, kiss her, kiss her," they insisted. Dongho's eyebrows raised as he playfully told the crowd to "shush". He knew that this entire ordeal practically gave Cho a heart-attack, and something like kissing in front of thousands of people wasn't exactly gonna make it better. He continued trying to get the crowd to calm down when something unexpected happened. Cho kissed him, in front of everyone, and she was unafraid to it.

When he realized this, he kissed her back, and the crowd erupted into even louder cheers. Dongho could see his manager on the far side of the stage where the crowd couldn't see her and unexpectedly, she was clapping with a very pleased look on her face. He was in trouble. In elation he grabbed Cho's hand and raised it up, as if she'd just won a fight and said,

"If it's not too much to ask, can we another round for my girlfriend?" he asked the crowd playfully. They cheered even louder as the rest of the night proceeded.

Then Dongho kissed her again, passionately, in front of everyone, fangirls, management, group members and parents for what felt like the rest of the night.

A/N: I know the ending wasn't perfect, but I was unsure of what to do, and I have other creative writing HW to finish so...still, I hope you guys enjoyed the story, it was dedicated to a good friend of mine.
