Chapter 4

Romeo and Juliet in Seoul

A/N: Ok, i thought the last chapter was long, but this one definitely takes it, hehe. It's for a reason though, things happen, and so chapters become longer. :P

“What the hell are you doing, Dongho?!” She said, trying hard not to be too loud. This was extremely embarrassing, and she knew the other girls wouldn’t approve, especially Yuri.

“Hey, Cho, um, I…wow, I did not plan this well enough. Uhhh….can I come in? I mean, we, can we come in?” Dongho said, rambling uncontrollably. Eli started to full on laugh at this point and put his head down. Cho took a couple of deep breathes trying to digest what was happening.

“How long have you two been here?” she asked, wondering if they’d seen anyone else changing. Eli caught on to her suspicion,

“Oh, we only saw that Michelle girl, and she had on…clothes?” Eli said, suddenly feeling very awkward. Dongho intervened,

“We didn’t see anything; I just, uh, wanted talk to you.” Cho shook her head and raised the window higher so that she could lean her head out.

“I’m here. What do you want to talk about?” she whispered, almost frantically,

“And for a weird situation like this, ‘how’s the weather?’ won’t do,” she added. Eli giggled at that and Dongho gave him a look.

“Well, since you wouldn’t give me your number the last time we spoke, I thought that if I tried hard enough, you’d eventually give in,” Dongho started, “and if you would let me in…I figured we could talk some more?” he said, almost as if it were a question. Cho took a deep breath.

“Dongho, you being who you are, I honestly don’t think you coming in would make this situation better. I don’t even want anyone to know you’re outside of my room in a tree, they’d kill me if they thought I had anything to do with U-Kiss, just talking to you that last time almost got me in a bunch of trouble,” Cho said.

“I know, I know, but what if…we could talk somewhere else, like, I don’t know, on a date?” Dongho said. Cho’s face went from confused and searching for a solution to nearly baffled.

“You have the worst game I’ve ever seen,” she started, “Is that why you’re here? To ask me out?” she asked. At this point, Eli was taking turns watching them both speak, he found this exchange quiet entertaining.

“…Yes. I didn’t have any other way to find you, seeing as I don’t exactly have your number, so I went on Facebook and…” Dongho attempted to explain his situation, but Cho cut him off.

“I’ll go out with you.” Dongho and Eli both looked surprised, but clearly for different reasons.

“You will? I’m really surprised this worked out,” Dongho laughed. Cho smiled,

“I hate to sound cliché, but no one’s ever done anything like this for me, you must really like me to be sitting in a tree outside of my room right now, so what the heck, I’m in,” Cho said. Dongho felt blank for a few seconds then he smiled wide and said yes under his breath. Though there was another problem that he’d just thought of.

“I still need your number, I seriously don’t wanna make this whole climbing trees thing a habit,” Dongho said laughing quietly. Eli jumped in,

“Yes, I agree with what he said, this will NOT become a habit,” Eli said, more directed to Dongho than Cho. Dongho smirked and Cho went away from the window giggling. Dongho and Eli fell silent, hoping she wouldn’t just leave them there. Then she reappeared and threw a paper ball at Dongho,

“Think fast, it’s my number,” she whispered. Dongho caught it but almost fell in the process. He managed to put the number in his pocket without falling but he still made lots of noise in the process. Cho could only look down as Michelle walked in the room to see what made so much noise.

“Um, Cho?” Michelle asked, slowly walking closer to the window. Dongho stared back at her and attempted to smile, hoping that would make things better. Eli shook his head in an “I told you so” sort of way.

“This is just peachy, Dongho, did you have a plan for if we got caught?” Eli asked trying to speak quietly.

“Well, no, I just figured I’d ask her out and we’d be on our way, I didn’t expect to have a paper ball thrown at me,” Dongho said, playfully looking at Cho when he said the last sentence. Cho couldn’t help but smile but she still had to deal with Michelle.

“They,” she started, pointing to Dongho and Eli, “are here…because…” Cho picked her brain for an excuse, but she could come up with nothing.

“Cho, it doesn’t matter why they’re here, if anyone finds out about two dudes from Ew-Kiss even talking to you, we’re all gonna be toast.” Michelle said, looking at Dongho and Eli like they were scum.

“Hey, why do you keep saying Ew-Kiss? I have a feeling you know how to say U-Kiss,” Eli asked Michelle. Cho and Dongho knew this wouldn’t end well. Michelle raised her eyebrows and leaned her head out of the window,

“I can call idiots whatever I want to. You guys are the dimwits sitting in a tree, not us,” she said, clearly satisfied with herself. Cho rolled her eyes and put her hands on Michelle’s shoulders,

“That’s not nice. These guys are cool, they’re not like Kevin or Kiseop,” Cho said, trying to calm Michelle down. Michelle folded her arms,

“Prove it. Not you, Cho, I’m talking to the idiots, I mean…boys in trees,” Michelle said. Eli raised his index finger,

“First of all, we’re not idiots, ok. We’re quiet intelligent, you know. And secondly, if we were all caught up in the stupid “rivalry” we wouldn’t be sitting in a tree talking to you outside your window, now would we?” Eli said, trying not to laugh. Michelle let her arms fall,

“….That makes sense…still, why are you here?” Dongho thought it was his turn to answer, since he’d gotten them in this mess.

“Eli’s here because I tricked him into coming with me, and I’m here because I really like your friend, and I wanted to ask her out…”he said. Michelle caught on without any further explanation.

“Aww,” Michelle turned to Cho, who was pretty much blushing at this point, “That’s so cute, too bad you’re both gonna be roasted by management when they find out about this.” Michelle said sarcastically. Cho looked at Michelle and Eli,

“Well…we won’t get caught if you guys don’t say anything.” Dongho agreed with her,

“Yea, we’re the only ones who know, and Cho and I aren’t going to rat on ourselves. If you guys keep our secret, this just might end up all right.” Dongho and Cho looked at each other and smiled shyly; they were already agreeing with each other. Eli and Michelle both saw this and said in unison,

“Really?” and looked at each other after they said it. After a few seconds of silence, Michelle said,

“Well, even though I’d be in just as much trouble as you two if any found out, I’m still your best friend, Cho, I’ll keep your little secret.” She smiled at Cho and she returned the favor. Eli took a page from Michelle and said,

“Yeah, same here, Dongho, this is pretty insane and I can’t believe that it’s happening, but I’ll keep your secret.” Dongho smiled wide at this. Cho loved everything that was happening and she couldn’t wait for their first date but it was still getting late and she had a feeling that the whole tree situation wouldn’t stay discreet for too long.

“Um, Dongho,” she said. He looked at her expectantly. She bit her lip slowly,

“I’m pretty sure it wouldn’t be a good idea for you guys to stay here any longer…” she said, trying not to sound rude. Dongho was visibly disappointed, but he totally understood when he checked his watch.

“Dude, we’ve been here for almost an hour,” Dongho said to Eli. Then he turned to Cho,

“I guess I’ll call you later, then,” he said shyly. She nodded and smiled,

“I’m looking for to it.”

Michelle rolled her eyes and laughed as Eli looked down shaking his head. Dongho and Eli climbed down the tree. Cho and Dongho couldn’t help but wave at each other as Eli called their driver and Michelle closed the window.

Dongho had a feeling that he wasn’t wasting his time with Cho, and she felt the same. Now all they needed to do was find a way to actually go on a date without anyone other than Eli or Michelle knowing. They both took deep breaths as the night fell upon them.
