You heave a great sigh as you lay your suitcase out on the floor, surveying your new home for the next year. Outside your room, you can hear excited chattering from other students, all getting to know each other. The room's not too bad, considering it's for a first-year undergrad student, and it could be a LOT worse. Warm enough, but not stuffy, fairly cosy but not cramped. But there's one thing missing that's REALLY annoying you. You were assigned one of the rooms without a sink.

ARGHHH!!! WHY AM I EVEN HERE?!?! I didn't even want to come here in the first place!!

You don't care if it's Oxford, you wanted to go to KOREA. Where all the good looking, sweet, funny, charming guys are. You even managed to get an offer from Seoul National University, but nooooooooo, you just HAD to be too smart and get an offer from Oxford too. And there was no way your parents would even hear of you rejecting it. They even convinced you it would be fine, persuading you with thoughts of the Korean Society and the Asia-Pacific Society, where you could meet LOADS of people, come out of uni with a good degree and work in Seoul for the rest of your life, because EVERYONE wants an Oxford graduate.

You sigh again, unlocking your suitcase and getting out your washbag to rinse your face. It had been an uncomfortable train journey here.

Stepping outside your room, you turn back towards the door to lock it. After fiddling with the lock for what seems to be a whole five minutes, you finally manage to secure the door. Turning back around, you crash straight into the person fiddling with their lock in the room next to you.

Your immediate reaction is annoyance. Why can't people be more careful?!

After picking up your bag from the floor and mumbling a sorry the general direction of the stranger, you happen to take a second glance at him.

HIM?! A GUY?! What is a GUY doing in the room next to you?! You've never been in a room this close to a guy's before, on school trips you were always separated into split-gender rooming groups.

Looking more closely, you notice he's quite tall, maybe just under six foot, with messy curly black hair. A fairly tight t-shirt fits him snugly, showing his lean but not muscly arms and back. Baggy jeans and scruffy trainers complete his look. V-E-R-Y N-I-C-E.

Turning round, keeping his head down, he says Ah, my fault. I think I'm trying to get into the wrong room. With that, he walks down the corridor and down the stairs. You had noticed his face, a milky pale skin tone, but not sickly. A straight nose and full, pink lips. But what startled you most were his eyes. Half obscured by the angle of his face, you only caught sight of large, dark eyes for a moment. But even in that moment, you knew something was wrong with them, but you weren't quite sure what it was. Then it occured to you that you recognised his face from somewhere.

Wait! you call after him, I think I know you! What's your name? What subject are you reading? But he was gone.

Sighing yet again, you go to the washroom. It seems like it's going to be a long year.
