Memories
In the TearoomThe young female sat in front of her mirror, staring blankly at her reflection. She saw a fool in the throes of a very bad crush with the possibility of love for the impossible. She scowled, muttering to herself that she was an idiot -she didn’t even really know the fellow. ‘But he feels right,’ her heart whispered. She brushed her hair monotonically, strands of silken brown hair falling into place, framing her face. 100 brushstrokes a day makes for good hair volume, her mind quipped out of nowhere. Sighing, the girl put down her brush -her mind was all over the place.
Her ringtone sounded. Languidly, she reached out for her phone. It was never him anyway- she ought to know; she had grabbed her phone in a tizzy every time it vibrated or rung and it was never him.
‘Kim Woo Bin-sshi’, read the name in bold.
Her eyes widened. No way. Hurriedly, she swiped the glowing green button.
“I am outside your house.”
Her eyes widened even further, mouth making a comical ‘o’ shape as she rapidly hung up after a yell for him to stay right as he was.
Skilful hands applied on a fresh gloss of pale pink lipstick, hands dabbing a soft blush on her cheeks. Eying herself in the mirror, she deemed herself ready to be seen -more than ready, in fact, she wasn’t exactly the humblest girl.
Rushing to the door then slowing her final few steps, she opened the door slowly, as if she had all the time in the world. She hesitates as she sees the sombre look on his pale face, the etch of tell-tale worry and anxiety on the lines around his soulful eyes. She fears the worst; did an accident happen? Did he meet someone new? Worry fills her and she blurts out, “What’s wrong?”
He gives a very strange answer.
She doesn’t understand. What did he mean, he didn’t know who he was. What right answer? Confused, and more than a little bewildered, she bids him to elaborate.
His answer further mystifies her. It was unbelievable but she heard the
