Chapter 4

Jisoo woke up to the sound of birds chirping. Today, her bed felt warmer. She snuggled closer to where the warmth was coming from. A few seconds later, the memories came back to her. She wasn't at home... She was at Lay's apartment. On his bed.... 

Her eyes snapped open and widened at how close the two of them were. Lay was still sleeping. He looked so innocent and angelic. She let out a sigh, fighting the urge of wanting to kiss him.

She still hasn't forgiven him. Even if he wasn't the one who kissed Irene first, its still a kiss. He didn't seem to mind when she kissed him.

After eyeing him, she stood up and slowly walked to the kitchen. She wanted to make Lay some apple and cinnamon porridge.  

As she was making the porridge, a pair of arms wrapped around her waist. As much as she enjoyed it, she wasn't going to let this happen. 

"Yixing, let go." Jisoo sighed. He didn't. Instead, he rested his head on her shoulder. She could feel his eyes watching her.

"Can't you see I'm busy?" She asked,  clearly annoyed. He let out a sigh and spun her around so she'd be facing him.

"Jisoo... please.. just hear me out, okay? I love you. I'd NEVER do anything to hurt you. God, do you know how much it hurt to see you so sad because of what happened? Its killing me. Irene kissed me. I didn't kiss her. I wasn't expecting her to kiss me. I didn't know what to do and-" He rambled. 

"Breath. Talk slowly." Jisoo told him. He nodded and took a breath. "I swear the kiss didn't mean anything. Jisoo.. You ignoring me... treating me like crap... It hurts. It freaking hurts so much. I love you. Please don't push me away." 

Jisoo felt herself giving in. She bit her lip to prevent a smile "You love me?". He stared into her eyes with so much emotion. 

"I love you." He whispered. As hard as she tried, she couldn't keep in the smile "Zhang Yixing, I love you too."

He gave her a grin which made Jisoo come to her senses. Her eyes widened and she cursed under her breath. She quickly removed Lays arms from her and turned around.

The porridge!!!! It's safe!!! 

She sighed in relief and turned the stove  off. "Yixing, please set the table up." Jisoo calmly said. Jisoo felt Lay press himself against her back. 

He opened the cabinet door and grabbed two bowls. He walked towards a drawers and took out two spoons, pretending as if he didnt do anything. 

Jisoo lifted the pot with two mittens and made her way to the small table. She then placed a mitten in the centre of the table and then positioned the pot on top of it. If she didnt, the wooden table would get ruined from the heat of the pot. 

Lay had already arranged the table and was seated. The scent of cinnamon filled the room. The scent  of the apple made Lay want to grab the burning pot and eat everything. But he waited for Jisoo to be seated, which didn't take long.

The pot had a large round spoon which is what Jisoo served Lay and herself with.

"I will eat very well!" He grinned before digging into the breakfast. Jisoo chuckled at his cuteness before focusing on her bowl of porridge. 

The couple were eating in silence. Lay was on his second bowl while Jisoo was almost finished her first one. 

A sudden vibration coming from the table caught both of their attentions. Jisoo couldn't help but glance at where it was coming from. 

Lay's phone was faced towards his direction. He looked at his phone and frowned. Irene. 

He sighed, feeling annoyed by the sudden interruption. He declined the call. 

Lay glanced up and saw Jisoo eating. He smiled in relief because he didn't want Jisoo to have mood change after Irene's sudden call. 

But what he didnt know was that Jisoo indeed did see the caller I.D. She was disturbed by it. She couldn't help but doubt Yixing's words. But she reminded herself that he just returned from the hospital. She didn't want him to go back. She decided to keep quiet about it.

After they finished eating, Jisoo
