"Will you be my wife, Soo?" asked the 8th prince. 

"Yes I will."

"I'll request for your hand in marriage on the 9th day of the 9th month of the lunar calendar."

With that in his his heart, the 8th prince felt satisfied. He returned from the cave to the palace encountering the 4th Prince, So.

"Why are you here?"

"I'm here to see if Soo's all right. Atfer all, I brought her out last night."

"No need for you to worry about her, she'll be my wife now."

Wang So said nothing, but his heart felt empty, a sudden shock.

"Soo, she agreed to marry you?" asked So trembling.

"Yes. I'll ask for her hand in marriage on the 9th day of the 9th month of the lunar calendar, and the King will agree to this, you know."  answered proudly prince Wook.

"I'll find a way to stop this."

"You care for her too?"

"Yes, she's mine, my person, nobody can take her away from me." yelled the 4th prince. Just then, Soo was on her way back to the palace as well, and heard the 4th prince's screaming.

"Your Highness, I've got something to tell you. Come with me inside." said she.

On their way back to the palace, So said nothing, merely looking at her with hurt in his eyes. He asked her in barely a whisper in a random corridor :

"How could you?" with tears in his eyes.

"I told you I had feelings for another, now you simply know who it is."

"Why him and not me?"

"He and I have been in a relationship since the very beginning, I just didn't get the chance to tell you, Your Highness."

"Is it because of my scar that you can't love me?"

"No." answered she simply. Soo didn't know how to comfort the 4th prince, so she just ran away from him, crying. 

In Soo's Thoughts later at night

"How could I hurt him so badly? That look in his eyes, when i told him who I loved, it was unbearable. Do I love him or Wook now? The hurt in his eyes will hunt me forever...I love Wook, I love him, I really do... " She said to herself, sobbed to herself until she fell asleep. She wished she could sleep forver, and never get caught  between these 2 men. Her heart felt torn.
