ABSENCE LIST!

“ROLE CALLING!” Mr. Jongsuk screams. Every students inside the class straightened their posture almost immediately.

“KIM JONGDAE?!”

Chen energetically throws his fist upwards as he screamed on top of his lungs. “IT’S CHEN AND PRESENT SIR!”

“OK TAECYEON?!”

Taecyeon gives a forced smile as he raises his right hand. “Present, sir.”

Mr. Jongsuk’s voice softens. “Goo Hara?”

Hara gracefully raises her hand. “Here.”

“Kwon Yuri?”

Like Chen, Yuri screamed on top of her lungs. “PRESENT!!”

“WU YIFAN?!”

Kris smiles (forcefully) as he raises his hand. “Present, sir.”

“Ahn Hee-yeon?”

Hani lazily raises her arm. “Present.”

“LEE JIN-KI?!”

Onew casually raises his arm. “Present.”

“Kim Hyun-Ah?”

“Preseent!” Same manner as Chen and Yuri, but less barbaric.

“Lee Sunkyu?”

“Present.” Growling.

“Park Sandara?”

“Present!” Energetic, lovely.

“Hwang Miyoung?”

“Present.” Casual, almost, with a little bit of irritation. Reason not known.

“LEE DONGHAE?!”

“PRESENT!” More barbaric manner than the rest. Most, even.

“Lee Chaerin?”

“Present…” Lazier manner than Hani.

“Song Qian?”

“Present.” Almost the same as Hara.

Mr. Jongsuk suppress a groan as he reads the next of the absence list. “…Choi Seunghyun?”

Top barely raises his arm. He doesn’t even bother to look at the teacher, let alone letting Mr. Jongsuk know he is there by shouting.

Nevertheless, Mr. Jongsuk acknowledged his presence.

“Ahn Hyejin?”

“PRESENT!” Too energetic.

“JANG WOOYOUNG?!”

“Present sir.” Sleazy manner.

“CHOI SIWON?!”

“This awesome human being called Choi Siwon is obviously blessing these peasants here with his presence, Mr. Jongsuk! I greeted you in the hall!”

“Formalities Choi Siwon! Er… moving on! Nichkhun Horvejkul?”

“Present.” Sweetly.

“Jung Sooyeon?”

“PRESENT SIR!”

Mr. Jongsuk raises an eyebrow, tilting his head to side and clears as he gazes the small girl sitting at the very back behind Sooyoung’s seat. “I don’t mean to insult you, but Sooyeon, you shouldn’t be at the back.”

“Because of my height?!”

“Because of your height.” Mr. Jongsuk agrees tactlessly. “And your eyes too. Minus two and half. Why don’t you switch with Chaerin—“

“No please sir no!”

Mr. Jongsuk shakes his head. Dramatic as always, this little midget from America.

“Why shouldn’t I?”

“Well because,” Jessica looks shy. “It’sthebestplacetospyontaenyakamybiggestotp i’mtheirbiggestingshipperohmygoshand ilovelookingattheirinterraction!”

“Come again?”

“It’s close to air con.” Jessica deadpans, thoroughly disappointed the teacher didn’t hear her.

“Kim Yongsun?”

“Naturally present.” No comment on this, unexplainable attitude.

“Alright. KIM HYOYEON! Now where is that little-“

“I am here sir! Well I’m very very disappointed for the fact that I’m sitting at the front yet you don’t notice me as quickly as you notice a cat as small and short as Jessica very far away-“

“EXCUSE ME?!”

“Deep breath, Sica, look! OTP!”

“WHERE YUL WHERE?!”

“-and takes ages to find me, someone who is this class’ awesome president, who sits just two meters-“

All students on the class groan simultaneously. “OHMYGOD HYO JUST SHUT UP!”

“-Anyway, present.”

“Good. CHOI MINHO?”

“Present.” Suddenly Hyoyeon raises her arm. “Sir I believe it should be Yuri’s boyfriend-“

“JUST SHUT UP.”

“Okay guys okay!”

Mr. Jongsuk sighs. “Choi Sooyoung?”

“Present.” Surprisingly normal.

“Ham Eunjung?”

“Yes sir.” Very soldier like.

“Chill.” Byulyi gives Eunjung a small heart with her fingers, to which Eunjung smiles and copy.

“Park Sunyoung?”

“I is here, Mister Jongsuk Sir.” Hyomin smiles brightly at the call. “And please, I will be glad if Mister Jongsuk-“

Jessica is on verge of throwing her cutter to Hyomin. “If you won’t shut up-“

Completely ignoring Jessica, Hyomin calls Hara and points her finger to Jessica. “Hara can you kiss her later at break?”

“It’s not a problem.” Hara nods.

Jessica blinks before looking at Hyomin, who smiles cheekily at her, straight in the eye. “I shall keep my mouth quiet.” She declares.

“Anyhow, present.”

“Okay. LEE TAEMIN?”

Minho raises his arm. “Taemin is on student council call, Teacher.”

“Alright,” Mr. Jongsuk nods. “LEE HYUKJAE?!”

“Present!” Almost energetic.

“Moon Byulyi?”

“Present, Teacher!”

Mr. Jongsuk scowls. “Don’t call me that, Byulyi. Yoon Bora?”

“Present!” Too energetic to everyone’s liking.

“Park Junghwa?”

“Present!” Normal.

“KIM MINSEOK?!”

“Present!” Slightly like Jessica.

“CHO KYUHYUN?”

“Present!” Full of determination. Applause to this new vice-prez!

“JUNG YONGHWA?!”

“Present.” Everyone is strangely silent.

“LEE SEUNGHYUN?!”

“I am here!” Proudly. Huh.

“Finally Kim Taeyeon!”

“Present, Teacher.”

“Again, don’t call me that.” Mr. Jongsuk scowls.
