Chapter 16

Espressivo

Yoongi shivered as he slipped his coat and shoes off, going further inside the apartment.

He didn’t think he could take his scarf off yet, though, their apartment had never been well insulated really.

This was probably their coldest winter yet, and all he had wanted to do was stay inside for the entirety of his Christmas break. Hoseok had other plans though.

Honestly, who’d decided on going on such an early flight because he sure wanted to throttle them. Sighing, he walked to the kitchen to make himself some much need coffee.

But now that he was awake, he might as well start thinking about continuing his compositions.

The final was getting closer and he couldn’t afford to lose any more time.

As he waited for his coffee to be brewed, he fished out his phone, pulling down his thick scarf a little so he could unlock the screen. He had new messages.

kook:
merry Christmas, hyung
thanks for the headphones
now I can properly cancel out jin hyungs nagging :P

jin:
merry christmas yoongs
thanks for the apron i love it <3
ive been needing a new one but never got round to it
did u open our presents yet? And by that I mean mine :)

joon:
merry Christmas hyung :)
and thanks for the ryan cap, its so cute :(

And just as he was about to answer all the messages, another one popped up at the top of his screen. Jimin.

park jimin:
hyuuuuuuuung sklxfjsldkfd
I love the earring thank u thank u
(><)
theyre so pretty *-*
where did u find them??
oh also how did u like my present? |
ω)

at a jewellery store and saw those
thought theyd suit u well
and i haven’t opened any of the presents yet,
i jus got back from dropping hobi off to the airport
u kno for the competition

It was minutes before he received a reply from the younger, and his coffee finally seemed to be done. Picking up his mug from the dish rack, he poured some of the drink into it, right when his phone buzzed with a message. He decided to move to the sofa before checking.

park jimin:
oh
yeah i remember

. He was such an idiot. Maybe he shouldn’t have mentioned Hoseok. They’d only broken up last night. Placing the mug down in the small space between the presents, he quickly typed an apology.

me:
sorry
I didn’t mean to um

park jimin:
its okay hyung
u dnt hv to get worked up

Yoongi debated on his response when he got another one from Jimin.

park jimin:
come on hyung, open the presents already!
mine first tho :D

He breathed a sigh of relief at that, more than happy to stray away from the topic. He glanced at the table in front of him, now adorning less bags than it had the night before. Hoseok must have taken his with him, he thought.

Staring at the gift bags, he wondered which belonged to Jimin before his eyes landed on the spotty yellow and white card hanging on one of them. Reaching for it, he slid the bag and card towards him.

When he flipped the card open and read the message inside, he chuckled.

To Yoongi hyung,

Merry Christmas, hyung!! I know it’s only been a few months since we’ve met but!! I wanted to get you something anyway because it’s been really fun hanging out with you (//ω//)

Oh and this is also a thanks for the song you wrote for me!! You really saved me there T_T

Thank you for everything, hyung! σ(  ε  σ

From Jimin.

He shook his head in amusement and couldn’t help but think again how cute the younger was. Reaching inside the bag, he pulled out a red and green wrapped item. It was flat and rectangular, quite light. Could feel the excitement bubbling inside him as he started tearing the paper, but wow, Jimin really wrapped this well.

When he’d finally managed to remove all the gift wrap, he found himself pausing as he looked down on the object in his hand, both brows raised in surprise.

And he just…stared at the item. Blinked once. Twice.

It was a music notebook.

Something he’d been wanting to get for weeks, his current notebook struggling to keep up with any more of his thoughts.

He glanced at his phone, still open on his conversation with Jimin. Blinked again. Before picking the device up and typing in a message.

me:
how did u kno I needed another notebook?

park jimin:
well…u kno the last time we went for coffee?
i saw u writing down notes when i came back with our drinks
first i found myself thinking wow, hyung u write a lot :o
but then noticed u trying to squeeze words into
space that wasn’t even there XD
so i thought itd be a good idea to
get u a new one! (
´`)*: ・゚
…did you like it?

He felt his heart skip a beat as he read the messages, over and over again. As if he couldn’t quite comprehend them. He smiled, eyes softening as he sent a response.

me:
thank you jimin :)

park jimin:
!!! :O
u used a smiley face omg

me:
and?

 park jimin:
that’s the first time ive ever seen u use an emoticon?
i feel special :’)

Yoongi snorted.

me:
ive used emoticons before jimin
i just don’t overuse them like u lol

park jimin:
but theyre so fun to use!!
and cute too!! (
>m<)
look at it and tell me its not cute

me:

its not cute

But the person using them is, he thought to himself as he waited for the younger to reply.

Then stopped.

Stop it stop it stop it.

Stop those thoughts already, Min Yoongi.

Groaning aloud, he slumped back on the sofa, wanting it to swallow him whole.

Why couldn’t he just stop thinking about Jimin and anything he did?

park jimin:
i cant believe u smh
whatever ik theyre the cutest things ever
thts all tht matters >□<

me:
whatever gets u through the day kid lol

park jimin:
im literally two yrs younger than u -_-

me:
exactly, a kid

park jimin:
uGH
ur mean :(
i want my present back

me:
then return the earrings I gave u

park jimin:
hyung :((((((

He released a breath of laughter as put his feet up, slouching even further into the sofa. Could practically imagine the younger pouting down at his phone.

park jimin:
[sent a photo]
look how good I look in them
how can u ask me to give them back :<

Yoongi lost his grip on his phone, causing it drop onto his scarf and hit his chin. He winced as he grabbed his phone with one hand, rubbing his chin with the other to soothe the slight throbbing. He looked down and his phone, the photo Jimin had sent still on screen. Swallowed.

Jimin was smiling, holding up a “v” sign near his right ear lobe, the silver chains dangling from each ear. He noticed the dancer’s silver hair was beginning to fade, yet. Yet. How in the world did he manage to look so good?

Unfair. The universe was unfair.

Clearing his throat, he typed another response.

me:
you look ok

park jimin:
my jiminie is the cutest, prettiest guy on this planet,
u take that back!! >:(((
lkjdfklsdjfds that was tae not me
hi yoongi hyung :-) when u gonna stop
being in denial and admit tht my jiminie is an
angel tht walks on earth – tae

me:
i mean he’s cute but
“an angel that walks on earth”…really?

What had he just said?

park jimin:
…its jimin again
do my eyes deceive me or did u just
call me cute? c:

. Could the sofa just do its damn job and swallow him whole already?

me:
shut up

park jimin:
ur not denying it…which means
gasp
hyung…do u hav a crush on me?? :O
i mean, i totally understand if u do
i am loveable ;w;

me:
u think too highly of urself kid
now if u’ll excuse me, I need coffee

He glanced at the clock above the fridge as he sat up and grabbed his mug. His brows raised as he realised how much time had already passed from talking with Jimin. And just as he was about to take a sip, his phone buzzed again.

park jimin:
okay hyung
ill talk to u later then ^-^

Sending a quick message of agreement in response, he set his phone aside and finally took a sip of his now-warm coffee.

After finishing his beverage and putting his mug in the sink for washing later, he grabbed his new notebook with a smile, headed for his and Hoseok's shared bedroom. It was time he started transferring his composition notes from the old to the new book, so taking a pencil from out of his bag, he tossed himself onto his bed and started jotting everything down quickly.

As soon as he was done with that, he started editing and making further notes until he'd obtained the results he desired.

He hummed in satisfaction as he looked over the notes and then checked the time again. 11:23am. He'll go to the music building when it opens tomorrow, there's no time to waste now.

For now, he decided to finally open the rest of his presents, which he'd meant to do before he'd gotten caught up in talking to Jimin. Shaking the thought aside, he got off his bed and went back to the living room where the presents were waiting for him.

There was a neat pink and black wrapped box, a green and white striped gift bag, and two red coloured haphazardly wrapped items. He picked the pink and black one, knowing that it was from the eldest of their friend group.

He felt himself a breath in when he lifted the lid up. Sony headphones. Ones that he'd been eyeing for months now. He'd been saving up for them with the money he earned from when he worked at the cafe. He grinned, pink gums on display as he picked the item up and placed them snugly on his ears.

Then found himself frowning, because this wasn't a cheap item. He felt bad for the elder spending so much money for him now.

Sliding the headphones off and resting them around his neck, he quickly sent a message. One of gratitude to Jin but asking why he'd gotten him such an expensive present when all he got the elder was an apron.

The eldest merely dismissed the protest, saying that he'd earned it after working at the cafe for such a long time.

Yoongi smiled, feeling his heart bloom at the words, his cheeks painted red. He didn't know what he had done to deserve such a friend, but he knew that he was thankful, and that he loved the elder.

He opened the other three presents, all which caused him to smile wider because his friends really were amazing.

Once he had sent a message thanking them all, he decided to make some lunch. Ramyun, of course. Not like there was anything else in their apartment.

He really wished he could have his mother's cooking right now. Missed it a lot. Sighing, he poured some water in a pot and placed it on the stove before opening the top cupboard for the ramyun packet.

He felt a vibration against his leg, but ignored it, thinking it to be one of his friends. Decided to check them once he'd finished lunch.

But then there was another buzz. Then another. And another. His eyebrows furrowed as he fished the device out just as another buzz resounded.

When he saw who it was, he looked down at his phone, surprised. And then worried. Hastily unlocking his phone, he clicked on the message.

kihyunnie:
yoon-ah, its your mother
merry christmas, sweetie
are you having a good day?
i hope you are
i'm sorry for sending you so many messages,
i just miss you very much today

Three dots were hovering as his mother typed another message, but nothing came after that. Waited, thinking that he'd get another message from her, but nothing.

Trying to stop the stinging in the back of his eyes, he hit the call button. He didn't have to wait long before he heard his mother's voice from the other end. Weak and quiet, but still there.

"Yoon-ah," he swallowed back a sob as he tried to talk. when he opened his mouth to speak, all that escaped was a broken sob. "How's my Yoon-ah doing, hm? Your mother is bored out of her mind, you know. Kihyun-ah won't take me outside, says I'm not allowed. It's snowing right now, did you know? It looks so beautiful outside." He walked to the window in the living room, and indeed, it was snowing. He smiled faintly as he replied.

"It does look beautiful," he said, trying so hard not to let his voice crack, but he'd probably failed. He was never good at containing his emotions when it came to his mother. He clung to his phone with both hands, as if it was a lifeline. "But not as beautiful as my mother." He heard his mother chuckle weakly at that, and it brought a smile to his own face.

"Well, I disagree, nothing is more beautiful than my Yoon-ah," he blushed as he breathed out a laugh at the words. He heard her exhale, it sounded content.

"I miss you, mum," he breathed out, feeling his eyes welling up as he spoke. But he couldn't stop them. Not when it concerned his mother.

His mother who'd been with him through thick and thin, and supported him in every decision. His mother who loved him even after he'd confessed that he was gay. His mother who gave him all he needed and more, regardless of the hardships she'd have to go through. Even after their father had left, she didn't allow it to affect her. If it meant keeping her sons happy, she would happy sacrifice her own happiness for it.

He'd never be able to be as selfless as her, he knew. Yoongi didn't know how she managed to do it all, but he knew that he loved her. Very much. He wouldn't trade her for the world.

A shaky breath escaped his lips as he tried to collect himself.

"I'm still here, Yoon-ah," he could practically hear the smile gracing on his mother's face, the understanding in her voice. "I'll always be here."

"I want to see you," he said, voice small. "C-can I?"

"Of course you can, sweetie. You can always come and see me, you know I love you visiting." He nodded but then realised that she couldn't see the action and answered.

"I'll be there soon then," he told her, and paused. Wait.

Was he even allowed to visit when it's Christmas?

"Yoongi, just let me know when you get here! I'll come down and get you!" He heard his friend call, and he smiled, feeling grateful.

"Okay, I'm on my way," and with a hum in agreement from his mother, he disconnected the call, making way to the front door.

The walk to the hospital felt longer than usual, the snow causing him to almost slip multiple times due to his hastiness.

He pressed the button at the traffic signal, snuggling further into his scarf, and scrunching the inside of his coat pockets to keep himself warm. Not that it helped much.

God, he wondered where he'd put his gloves last night. He was sure he'd left them at the hangers behind the front door.

A cloud of air escaped his lips as he huffed, annoyed by the slow working traffic lights. How long could it possibly take to change?

As if they had heard him, the lights changed, a timer counting down from 30 seconds. Trying not to slip again, he walked across the road and headed straight towards the hospital, his ears missing the familiar call of his name from behind.

Taking his phone out, he let Kihyun know of his arrival, waiting by the reception.

A good five minutes passed until he saw the familiar head of pink coming his way. The male adorning the white coat every doctor did grinned at him as he made his way closer.

"Yoongs, you finally made it! Come on, your mum's waiting," he said, slinging an arm around him, which pulled Yoongi abruptly to his friend's side with an "oomph".

He would have said something, that he knew the way to his mother's room, but then he'd be wasting his breath because the pink haired male always behaved like this. He had gotten used to it now really. Now, he just smiled and allowed himself to be led to his destination.

When they reached his mother's room, Kihyun's pocket buzzed. He took his arm off and grinned at him. "I'll let you guys be alone." Before pulling his phone out and turning to walk away.

Busy as ever, he thought as he watched the pink haired male turn a corner. Since he'd gotten an internship at the hospital, Yoongi doesn't think the other had gotten much of a rest. But he looked happy, so he didn't reprimand the other for rest too often.

Shaking his head, he turned to door and knocked to let his mother know of his presence before opening the door immediately after.

"Mum?" He called, head peeking inside. His mother turned to him, smiling as she nodded. Stepping further inside, he closed the door and made his way to sit next to his mother.

She immediately held her hand out once he had settled down. He took her hand in his and clasped it.

"I didn't get you anything, sorry," he started, having been in a rush just to see her alive and well. He wasn't sure how long they had. Feeling a small squeeze, he turned his attention back to her.

"You coming to see me is more than enough, Yoon-ah," she replied, smiling as if she was well aware of his thoughts in that moment. "I don't need anything more."

He could feel his eyes b again and had to tell himself to stop. Not when she was still in front of him.

"How's everything going with you and your partner?" She asked, and he felt grateful for being steered away from his thoughts. "Is practice going well?"

He nodded. "I'm still working on the compositions and need to practice them, but I think they're better now. And as for my partner, he has a dance exam coming up at the moment, so he's been busy with that. But we still have time after his exam so it will be okay. I thinkㅡI hope so."

"The both of you will be fine, Yoongi. Have faith in your abilities, hm?" He pursed his lips and nodded. His heart soared from hearing it. She believed in him more than he did himself.

"Thanks, mum," he smiled, leaning onto her hand held in his own.

They talked for hours after that. Or at least, it felt like it.

He felt happy, not having had the chance to talk to his mother for longer than an hour when he came for his visits. They talked about anything and everything. Even about how his friends believed that he had some high school crush on his dance partner. Which again, he didn't. Probably. Most likely. He doesn't know.

"You still have time, sweetie. There's no rush, it's okay to not know what you're feeling yet."

"Yeah, I guess you're right. I mean, I do like Jimin, butㅡI'm just not sure if they involve romantic feelings, you know?" Plus, it's not like Jimin would appreciate talking about it, not when he had just broken off his (short) relationship with Hoseok. He'll make sure of his feelings first, of course.

"I'm sure you'll figure it out soon, Yoon-ah," she assured him, and he nodded.

A knock resounded from the door and then a pink head peeking in. "Thought you guys would be hungry now." And when he stepped into the room, a cart with two plates of food was wheeled in after him byㅡ

"Jimin?" He said, surprised as he watched the youngest wheel the food cart in. The dancer looked at him sheepishly, rubbing the back of his neck.

"Uh, hi Yoongi hyung," the younger greeted.

"Whaㅡwhat are you doing here? Do you work here?" He asked, though he never recalled ever seeing Jimin in the building or even hearing anything from the younger about this.

"Oh, no, um," he seemed hesitant, which is not a Jimin he'd seen often. "Actually, I saw you walking past by the traffic signal, and I called out for you but, but you probably didn't notice, and you looked in a rush, heading here, so I got worried that something happened cos I remember you telling me about your mum, so uh, I kinda, followed you here? But then when I got inside you were already walking ahead, so I thought I'd follow you until I caught up, but then when I got up to the floor you were at, I lost you? So I thought I'd just wait outside until you came out of one of the rooms but then you didn't come out after an hour, so I started leaving when I met um," he glanced to the pink haired doctor who smiled at him, "Kihyun-ssi and said that you were in this room and asked if I wanted to go in, though I did say no, but he said it was fine so I let him lead me inside and uh, yeah. That's, that's what happened." He finished, looking down at his hands as he fidgeted.

Yoongi could only look on with his brows raised. His mouth opened, then closed. Unsure of what to say to that rambling really. Then, a breath of laughter was heard from next to him. He turned to look at Kihyun, who was laughing with a hand behind his mouth. Noticed his mother smiling, too.

"He's cute," Kihyun told him, as his laughter finally died down. He watched as Jimin's cheeks flushed red. A pretty red, his mind helpfully added. Found himself agreeing with Kihyun and his mind as he continued to gaze at the dancer, unable to look away.

"You must be Yoongi's dance partner," his mother spoke, snapping him out of the trance he was in. "My son has told me a lot about you, Jimin-ssi." His eyes widened at the words, feeling his face burn up from his neck up.

He hadn't expected her to expose him like that.

Well, he hadn't expected to meet Jimin like this either, so there's that.

"Yoongi hyung talks about me?" Was the first question that slipped the younger's mouth, and was he being delusional or was the younger shy? But as soon as it appeared, it was gone, a mischievous smile gracing his face. Oh boy. "What kind of things did he tell you?"

"That you're an annoying brat who didn't know how to respect his elders," he interjected before giving his mother a chance to say anything. No doubt she'd say something that would make him embarrassed.

"I am not! I have always respected my elders," the younger huffed, crossing his arms over his chest. "And here I came because I was worried. So rude."

"Worried huh? You sure you're not the one with the crush, Jiminie," he smirked when the younger spluttered in response.

"In your dreams, Yoongi hyung," the dancer scoffed, rolling his eyes, though there was a smile tugging at his lips, he could tell. "Honestly, here I am trying to be a good friend and you're badmouthing me to your mum. I'm hurt, hyung." He feigned as he placed a hand on his chest. Yoongi rolled his eyes, a smile tugging at his own lips.

"Brat," he huffed, before turning to his mother, eyes soft, "you should eat before the food goes cold." She nodded and as if on cue, Jimin pushed the cart to stand beside her bed, smiling down at the eldest, his cheeks bunching up as he did. Yoongi scoffed, muttering, "cheeky brat," under his breath.

The dancer must have heard him because he stuck his tongue out at that. So immature, he thought, shaking his head. He watched as the younger set a plate on the elevating table, helping his mother get comfortable as she sat up straighter. A smile tugged as he observed them, his mother already charmed by the dancer as she made conversation with him. Unbelievable.

How was it so easy for Jimin to befriend others like that? He felt envious.

His mother glanced his way, nodded towards the other plate of food. "You should eat too, Yoon-ah. You have eaten anything yet, have you?" He was shocked that she could tell. Looked down, slightly embarrassed. "Go ahead. Have something, sweetie." He nodded and stood up to get the other plate when it was ed at him by small (and cute?) hands.

"Geez hyung, how could you not have breakfast, huh? Do you always miss breakfast or something?" And he was about to protest that he has coffee every morning, which was something. He didn't starve himself, geez. The dancer interjected before he could say anything, though. "Coffee doesn't count. Honestly, maybe if you ate breakfast, you wouldn't be so grumpy in the mornings," the younger remarked, shaking his head.

"Yoon-ah, is what Jimin said, true?" Damn it. He had to expose him like that, didn't he? "I thought I told you to eat well, three meals a day, you remember what you told me, don't you?" Yoongi looked down again, pouting as he stabbed at his food.

"I know, I'm sorry mum," he said, frowning, "it's justㅡ" he stopped short, remembering that Jimin and Kihyun were still in the room with them. Hell if he was going to say anything in front of those two. He sighed.

"You were caught up with working on the competition, weren't you?" She said, voice full of knowing. He nodded once because he knew that he wouldn't be able to lie. His mother sighed, "I get that it's important to you, but you need to eat. Especially breakfast. Do you understand?"

"Yes, mum," he agreed, flushed with embarrassment as he heard Jimin snickering at his expense. Kihyun too. The traitor. He pouted. This was all Jimin's fault, he thought, looking up to scowl at the dancer.

"I'll have Jimin to keep me updated, just so I know you are eating properly." This caused the dancer to sputter in response, caught off guard by the statement.

He would've laughed had it not been for the fact that it would mean he'd have to see Jimin even more often. Which meant they'd spend even more time together. Which meant that he'd have to deal with his peppy in the mornings too. As if their evening rehearsals weren't enough.

Not that they've had rehearsals for a while, since Jimin has his exam 12 days from today.

Which...wasn't that far away now.

He looked up at the dancer, who was speaking to his mother again.

"I hope it's not much trouble, Jimin-ah. I'd actually asked Hoseok before, but he's gone for the week, and I can't ask Kihyun-ah since he can't go to the university every day to check up on Yoongi." He wanted to say that he wasn't some child that needed to be checked on, but he knew better. His mother had always acted like this when it concerned him, who unlike his elder brother, didn't know how to take care of himself well. And he hated that it was true.

He'd only survived university because he had his friends always reminding him to eat and at times, going as far as feeding him (which was more often than they liked).

"Mum," he whined, "you don't need to bother Jimin. I'll eat on my own. Really," he added when he saw her unconvinced. "Plus, Jimin has his own things to worry about. He's going to be busy practicing for his exam, which is only 12 days from now, right Jimin?" He stressed, silently urging the younger to agree with him.

The dancer raised his eyebrows, as if surprised that he remembered when the exam was. Yoongi's eyes flitted away from the dancer's, feeling himself burn up; he was just good at remembering things, that's all.

"Oh, that's right. Yoon-ah did tell me that you had an exam soon. I'm sorry, dear. Forget my request, you should be practicing," he noticed the elder just gaze at the dancer, (who flushed under her watchful eyes) before smiling softly, "though something tells me that you'll do great when the time comes." This caused Jimin to smile shyly.

"Really?" The younger asked, seeming unsure. Anxious even.

"Really, dear," she affirmed with a small nod. If he didn't know any better, he'd say that those were tears dancing in his eyes.

He saw Jimin swallow before answering.

"Thank you," and it was so soft, so quiet, and so small that Yoongi almost hadn't heard it. But he had and his heart clenched at the sound. He frowned as he felt something bubbling in his stomach. And when Jimin looked at him again, this time with his teary eyes, his breath hitched. Jimin was the first to break eye contact, blinking hastily.

It was quiet for a moment. His mother looked at Jimin with a sad smile but didn't say anything. Kihyun kept glancing at the dancer and then somewhere else in the room, unsure as to what he should do. He'd never been good with handling crying people.

Yoongi couldn't stop himself when he spoke.

"Jimin-ah," the younger's shoulder tensed, but he didn't look at him. "Jimin, look at me." He said, voice stern. He noticed the dancer quickly wipe at his eyes with his coat sleeves before looking at him. But even then, fresh tears stayed ready to escape. "You're a good dancer. A really, really good dancer. One of the best I've seen, to be honestㅡreally, you are," he cut in when he saw Jimin wanting to protest. "Believe me when I say that you'll blow everyone away with your performance. From the few times I've seen you dance Jimin, IㅡI always find myself unable to look away. You have thisㅡthis aura around you, that draws people to you. Trust me when I say that, once they see you dance, they won't be able to turn away. And I can tell how much you love dancing, Jimin-ah, I could see it when you practiced. So, to hell with anyone that says otherwise. Don't let anyone give you for doing what you love." He finished, and he felt breathless for some reason. Hadn't looked away from the dancer, who lips were set in a thin line, but his eyes told him everything. They were wide and b with more tears.

"Mm," was all the dancer could utter and even then, he sounded as if he would break into tears any moment.

His eyes soften as he smiled at the younger, telling him that it was okay. That he meant every single word.

"S-sorry, I have toㅡ" and the dancer bowed, then bolting out of room before any of them could say anything. Yoongi simply watched as the door closed and his eyes stayed, unsure of what he should do. Should he follow Jimin, to check on him? Or stay and give the younger his space?

But was it even his place to ask Jimin about it? He didn't think Jimin would appreciate him interfering in his personal life. At least, he knew that he disliked others doing that with him. But he was worried. His fingers balled into a fist on his knees, conflicted.

"Yoongi-yah," his mother snapped him out of his thoughts, and he glanced at her, hoping that she didn't notice. She smiled; eyes all-knowing. "Go to him."

"Butㅡ"

"I'm fine, Yoon-ah," she stressed, "he needs someone right now. And you understand the way he feels, probably more than anyone else. So, go, I know you're worried. I promise I'll be fine. I have Kihyun-ah with me anyway." He glanced towards the pink haired intern, who nodded once in agreement, and then back at his mother, frowning. Releasing a breath of laughter, she spoke again. "Go."

The screech of the chair would've made him wince if not for his mind constantly drifting to Jimin. Before he decide to leave, he turned around and kissed his mother on the forehead, the elder laughing gleefully at the gesture.

He nodded at Kihyun once who returned the gesture with a smile, then rushed out of the door. Hoping that Jimin wasn't too far ahead.

a/n: I know I'm late, but it was my last year of uni and assignments started piling up and the stress was getting to me ;; But its all good now!! (She hopes) I've finished my last year of uni and have more time on my hands, whoo. I need to start looking for jobs but I'm trying not to worry too much about it right now cos I need a break from everything as it is.

But, wow, I can't believe we've reached 2k+ views now. Thank you so much!! <3

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed the chapter!!

Chapter 16: Ya know, I was just thinking about this fic the other day. Like out of literally nowhere it just popped in my head. This is my first time getting on here in a hot minute and I was SO excited to see an update! (That random thought may not have been so random after all...GASP! haha) I read the last chapter over to refresh my memory and all the feels came back. Im so happy Yoongi got to spend some time with his mom ? and poor Jimin, he's so insecure but I am ELATED yoongi listened to his mom and went after him!!!! And congrats on your finishing uni!!!! Yay!!!! Everything will be fine and you'll find a job soon enough, I know it :) take it easy and let yourself relax for a while, you deserve it!!!

I also wanted to say I'm super stressed with my own bull and I wish this couch would swallow me too lmao but this chapter really helped me step away from it for a minute, so thank you. I really love this fic and im so excited for yoongi to see jimin's performance and for them to practice together again!!! Eee!!! Yoongi's little speech there warmed my heart too. Everybody's christmas texts warmed me to the core too, I just love everyone and I love where this is going and I love the whole story and I'm so excited for questions to be answered and UGH I LOVE IT. So please take care and rest, drink some water! I'd recommend a nice cup of tea too (if thats your thing!) and enjoy some you time. Stay safe and dont forget to look after yourself! I hope youre doing well!!! <3 <3 (its almost 2am I hope that made sense lmao)
