"I don't want to celebrate my birthday."
Wonwoo's ears perk up at the cruelty in her voice, making him stop gazing up to the sky and spare a glance to the girl on his side, laying on top of dry grass and soft wind.
"Why?" Wonwoo asks but doesn't pester. It's 2 weeks away from her birthday.
Her gaze remains unwavering to the sky, terribly light and brownish he could see the clouds floating inside of her eyes. "Just because."
"Okay," but Wonwoo knows everything isn't and Seulgi is just not ready yet.
"Happy birthday, Seulgi," Wonwoo speaks out into the air, with the girl lying beside him not smiling at all, yet she is in the edge of bursting into tears, turning her body away from him.
"I told you to forget it."
"How could I? Eighteen years ago, today is the day where my love was born. I should be thankful instead of forgetting it. To be forgotten is such a lonely thing," Wonwoo's voice soothes her heart as he doesn't force her to face him.
"I wish I was never born."
