A Tryst Beyond Destiny

Description

Wang So found out too late that Hae Soo had loved him deeply and waited for him until her last breath and that they had a child, a daughter who is growing up with Jung in Chungju. What happens next? Does So get to spend time with his daughter? Does Jung manage to keep his promise to Hae Soo to keep her daughter away from the palace? What role would Wang Ju (So and Yeon Hwa's son) play? Is there a happily ever after for So and Soo?

Foreword

I did some extensive googling on Goryeo’s 5th King Gyeongjong (So and Yeon Hwa’s son Wang Ju) and 14th prince Wang Jung. I even had google translate entire pages from Korean to English. This is what I found:

Wang Jung had 2 sons and 1 daughter. This daughter was King Gyeongjong’s second wife, Queen Hunui (not to be confused with the Iron Empress which was the 3rd wife). She did not have any children and there was no information available on when she was born or when she died. Combining this with the existence of Soo’s daughter Soel in the Moon Lovers universe, we could take a creative license to history and say that she married Wang Ju. Yes, they are half-siblings and yes, it’s a little weird. But if Yeon Hwa can marry Wang So, it’s a lot less cringe-worthy to have a Soel – Ju (mini Soo – mini So) romance. So that's what we'll cover.

Chapter 18: OMG....The wedding happened! A big win in this corner for Ju Seol shippers. I really hope that he doesn't follow through with his promise to his mother. And I especially don't want Ju to have to marry the Hwangbo sisters, especially since Queen Daemok is using them as pawns, just to keep Seol from being Queen. Please update soon. I am anticipating Wang So to see a grandchild from Seol before he dies. Can't wait to see what happens next....

Chapter 18: Please tell me that Ju has a plan to keep them together? Yay, they're married but they might as well be divorced since it seems that after their wedding is done they will never see each other again... yes, be careful what you wish for indeed.

Chapter 17: OH SNAP THE IS HITTIN' THE FAN Y'ALL, AND I LOVE IIIIIIIIT!!! Duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuude. I don't know what our boy So's plan is, but his dad-ness and softness and the hugging and the loving and the whole "I'ma tell Seol what's up, because her heartbreak is the same as her mom's" is just perfection. Chapter 17: While I understand that this is a plan that Ju & the king and maybe with a little help from Uncle Baek Ah, most likely came up with, I am a little confused as to how the plan is supposed to actually play out so that Ju & Seol end up together in the end? Though, it's nice to envision an actual happy father to son moment between So & Ju; So truly does care & love his son :)
