The next twenty minutes were an absolute dilemma for Seulgi, imagine trying to comprehend just what had happened that caused her best friend and her trainee mate to be all chummy and casually ignoring her. Even the two girls she came with apparently forgot that they had another person with them and went on talking about anything and everything excluding her. It made her head hurt. 
 
 "I feel so thirsty." Krystal said pouting at Jinri who merely rolled her eyes. They’ve been together for quite a while that Seulgi knew she just what the youngest girl meant by that sudden cute action.
 
 "Sheesh Krys, you know that doesn’t affect me." Jinri retorted but then turned to look at her, ah these two of course she understood what this all means. 
 
 "I'll get them." she said without waiting for any of them two to speak.

“Two iced Americano, alright?” Krystal said raising her hand, she could swear no one would look any cuter than her at that moment.

“Make it three.” to her surprise Joohyun raised her hand as well, how do they suppose she bring that, she only have two hands!

“I’ll go with you.” again to her surprise Jaebum spoke, it was a good thing that someone was willing to help her but she wasn’t so sure how she could handle that the awkwardness she kept feeling. It was still much too strong for her liking but she tried to keep it cool and merely nodded not even meeting his eyes or looking at his direction.

‘I can do this’ she muttered to herself hoping that somehow she could keep up with the façade she was trying to show off.

 If it was dilemma earlier this was pure utter chaos, she didn't even know if she should speak or at least acknowledge his presence it was mind blowing as she trailed close to him towards the nearest convenience store. 

Since freshly brewed Americano were much more costly than the instant ones she opted to pick the latter, it wasn’t as if they could openly protest they didn’t even give her any money so the choice was clearly hers.

When she was done picking out she searched for Jaebum and found him in front of the ramyun racks two freshly brewed iced Americanos on either of his hands, fine so he was the more fortunate one. She walked away, annoyed that he wouldn’t even acknowledge her presence and angry at herself for even caring.

“That would be 5000 won.” the lady in the cashier said, why does this have to be so pricey it was good she have ten thousand by her but this was her allowance for the whole week!

“Can you add this too?” a voice behind her said, of course there would be no need to turn around for she would know his voice from anywhere though she felt herself stiffen, what should she do?

“Six thousand.” the lady said to which he casually held out a ten thousand bill. There’s no need to rub in her face what her current situation is, right? Then why is this wolf being like this?

“Here,” he placed in her hands a can of Pringles.

“What is this for?” she couldn’t help but ask.

“I don’t know, maybe you could display that on your room or better yet throw that to the river.” he shrugged.

“IM JAEBUM!” she said frustrated at his answer, does he really have to be so sarcastic about everything? She was just asking what it is for since his action was confusing her.

“Eat. You look uglier when you’re so bony.” he said as he casually took a sip from his drink.

“I’m not ugly!” she protested.

“Yes you are.”

“I swear—

“I wouldn’t swear if I were you, you’ll definitely look uglier.” She let out a deranged shriek how could he accuse her of being ugly, she wasn’t pretty but she’s definitely not ugly and yet here he was …

“I—

“No Sseul you love me,” he said proudly rendering her speechless.

What happened in the past few months that made him this conceited? As far as she could remember he was mildly proud but this was on a whole new level, though before she could retort he was already outside the convenience store, confidently walking as if he didn’t leave anyone behind yet despite the fact that he just insulted her whole being she couldn’t help but feel elated that he talked to her.

It was just like how he did when they had fights before it was their way of patching things up, slighting each other until they were no longer angry but laughing at how stupid they both sounded and even if it wasn't much she was thankful that in some way it feels as if their friendship had been mended and all is well.

And for the record somehow after a streak of bad decisions on her part volunteering to get the drinks got her somewhere right.
