The Fangs the Fur and the Flesh
Before she could even make sense of her surroundings the wolf beside her took off through the forest. Now alone, she panicked for a moment before she heard a familiar voice calling for her.
"This way, silly girl," said the voice of the terrible wolf. "This way, quickly."
He waited for her before leading her through a thick and damp part of the forest. It did not seem the easiest way to freedom, but the wolf seemed to know his way, so she held her tongue. He slowed suddenly and turned to face her.
"Come here; stand beside me."
She was unsure of why he would make such a request, but between the witch and the wolf, she would definitely trust the wolf. There was something about him which made her trust him, despite his mischevious nature. She only stood with him for a moment before the evil woman caught up with them, which was expect. She stood before them, short of breath but smiling.
"Ha, foolish children!" Said the queen. "This is my forest, it is not very wise of you to try and hide here!"
The wolf, smiling his wolfish smile moved a step toward her.
"How very bold of you to consider this your forest. Especially considering how many of us lain here you have caused an early and unnatural death. The dead have plenty of time to cultivate grudges. I should say that you are the one who is bold, majesty."
