“Run.”

His voice comes out as a whisper but Shinhye heard him and starts running.

“Why are we running again? Are all the things you said a lie?”

“No. But I didn’t recognise them. That’s why we are running.”

He pushed his way forward but keep Shinhye in front of him; occasionally looking back.

Again that day, he regrets bringing too many with him.

“There.”

He said when he saw a big tree with a hole.

“We can fit in there.”

Shinhye saw the tree and went in to hid, Yonghwa blocks them and pants.

“Are they coming?”

“I didn’t see any but it’s safe for us if we wait for a while.”

Shinhye nods even though Yonghwa didn’t see her and she too release the breath she keep in.

A few moment passed before Yonghwa clear that they are safe and helps Shinhye and her hair out.

“I should just cuts them off sooner or it will be the reason I get caught.”

“Let them be. What does the poor hair do to you?”

He chuckles and walks to where they ran from earlier.

Shinhye trotted behind him.

“Don’t you find it annoying?”

“It doesn’t annoy me in anyway. It’s just hair.”

“But still.”

“There is reason for anything and there is always why you should been through what you’ve been through.”

“Huh?”

“It’s just words that my mother used to say.”

He replied, making sure Shinhye walks not far from him.

“What is your hobby anyway Rapunzel?”

“Tchh.”

Shinhye responds and chuckles when he squint his eyes at her.

“I sing when I’m bored.”

“Really?”

“Yes. I told you but you are laughing instead.”

“You are the one who said don’t be too caught up with fairy tales.”

“Did the Rapunzel is fairy tale sings?”

Yonghwa glares at her, studying if she was making fun of him but Shinhye is asking truthfully so he sighs; nodding.

“Woah. But really oppa. I lovee singing.”

“Oh right. Why did you call me oppa? You are too adamant to not earlier.”

“I’ll call you the way I want. Problem?”

“Rude.”

“Yahh!”

“See. I’m older Rapunzel.”

He states and Shinhye quickly sighs dramatically.

She still need to go out, she can’t risk anger Yonghwa.

“Fine fine.”

She rolls her eyes, now straining her movement so that she won’t roll backward due to her hair.

She still had the thought to chop them off later but she won’t say it out loud or Yonghwa will scolds her again.

“Stop.”

Yonghwa suddenly said, an arm in front of her chest in protective way.

Shinhye flinched and accidentally crack a branch under her feet that the huntsmen from before spots them.

He heard Yonghwa mutter something incoherent and she whispers a sorry.

A large man came to face them as he jumps down from his horse.

Yonghwa protectively pushes Shinhye behind him, ready to face the man and his men (he believes).

“What business do you have with me?”

“Oh Your Highness, I was on a mission to catch you. The second prince wants you alive. Will you be a good boy and come to daddy?”

Yonghwa snort at that, his posture stable and he looks at them with authority.

“That’s why what I see is new faces. Don’t you guys know what happen to the last men?”

“Very well, they don’t get you within 3 days and was killed.”

“Oh, that’s the tale going around?”

“Tale? Oh no Your Highness. It’s the truth. You know how to hide really well.”

Yonghwa once again laughs at their words, the man grumble an annoyance.

“Come with us silently. We won’t hurt you.”

“Do you think I will just follow you and let my cousin prisoned me?”

“You don’t have any choice Your Highness. We are outnumbered and you aren’t good in fighting. Wearing those points nothing.”

He barks a laugh and turns serious a moment later.

Shinhye flinch but Yonghwa didn’t budge.

She starts to think all of what he had said and wonder if he did tell the truth.

“Don’t make me mad Your Highness.”

“It’s you who shouldn’t make me mad. You should have known the consequences of touching a crown prince.”

“But no one is here to tell anyone anything. I brought the best men with me. All are loyal and trustworthy.”

Yonghwa chuckles.

“Well. You come prepared.”

“More than you ever expected.”

“Stay back.”

He said and the man finally look over his back.

“Oh look, the little rabbit looks cute.”

He pointed at Shinhye and tries to peer to her.

Yonghwa had it enough.

He grunts.

“I told you don’t make me mad.”

“Or what? You gonna tell your mama?”

The leader laughs and soon pale when he feels a sharp substance pointed near his throat.

A gasps left Shinhye’s mouth, she grabs Yonghwa’s arm tightly.

She is in fear.

Yonghwa was fast in handling his sword that she didn’t even saw when he pulls it out and now his sword is near the big man’s throat.

Yonghwa looks so intimidating and scary.

The leader neck was close to slit but Yonghwa eyes are determined.

It scarily was on then leader and he did not flinch a bit; the leader is now sweating.

A little move and his throat will slaughtered.

The other huntsmen were frozen on their spot.

Pregnant silence engulfs them.

Yonghwa glares at the people behind the man before he fixes his eyes on him again.

“Go away, or you will end up in curling blood here.”

He said dryly; still unwavered and strongly stands among the bulky, sturdy men.

“Fine.”

Said the man and retreat while signalling his men.

He hops on his horse, the other follows and soon all were gone.

Shinhye releases her breath dramatically, slumping on the green grass when her legs weaken.

“Oh Rapunzel, what are you doing going around with a magic stick if you never plan to use it?”

He grabs a fistful of grass and wipes the blood of him sword.

“I don’t know how to use it.”

Shinhye said; cheekily grinning.

Yonghwa slaps his forehead and drops his besides her.

“You sure are a handful Rapunzel.”
