there are so many truths

so if you will ask me

what is my favorite truth

out of all the truths,

it was - still is - this:

people get better but

most of the time, they don't.

they just pretend

that they are

with the hope that

their pretending

will soon become the truth.

so i,

i wouldn't even try.
