“..they leave the trail on AC, jet packed and all-- Mina, you listening?” Mina finally lifted her eyes up to the girl blabbering some action American TV series she careless about. This was actually her fourth date and she was getting tired. Tired of all the meet-ups and get-to-knows like she was this desperate. “Yea,” It wasn’t a lie. Mina twisted her fork in the pasta and tried her best to look amused or even the least bit interested.    Wendy gave her a frown. “Tired?”                            Mina nodded sheepishly, feeling a little bit guilty, but Wendy reassuringly smiled at her as she sipped on her red iced tea. “Do you need a ride?” Wendy was the nicest out of all. She was frankly all what Mina’s been looking for. Someone chatty, someone caring, someone who could keep a conversation; someone the opposite of her. “No. I’ll catch a bus.” Mina lightly pressed Wendy’s hand as she bid goodbye. But still, there was still something missing.  That foreign feeling saying she’s not the one won’t leave her alone. And Mina: who finds calm and pleasure at most times wouldn’t want to save time for experiments only to fail again and again. -- The sun is setting and the only thing heard were her light steps, the brushes of the wind and the rough whir and sound of the speedy vehicles.  She was surprised to see Sana at the bus stop. What are the odds of seeing Sana Minatozaki right after her date? Her hands were on her waist and from the way she looked, Mina knew there was something wrong. Their eyes met for a split second and Mina pushed away her plan of pretending she hadn’t seen the blonde. It was best avoiding her when she looked like she was ready to strangle someone. Sana approached Mina and she looked at her coldly. Mina lifted her eyebrows shiftily, not wanting the way her eyes looked so icy. It was intimidating. Sana pocketed her phone and planted it right to Mina’s face. For a brisk moment, Mina didn’t know what she was trying to show until Sana tapped the call logs. Mina scrolled and there she saw Yein’s, Naeun’s and Youngji’s continuous calls. “Please don’t tell me Wendy’s going to be calling me in an hour or so.” Sana scanned her surroundings, looking for any sign of Wendy, and dropped her shoulder dejectedly when she found none. “Man, she’s the biggest fish in the ocean.” Sana heaved a sigh. “What’s wrong?” “She’s not who I want.” Mina said nonchalantly. “It’s been two days since you’ve met.” Mina sneered. “I know what I want.” She made her way to the bus but Sana grabbed her wrist.  Her eyes still look cold. “I’ll miss the bus.” Mina felt Sana's tight grasp and she drew back as she felt the irrevocable sting and pain. Sana must’ve noticed this because her eyes softened and her grip loosened up a bit. “I’ll take you home. Just give me a minute.” Sana's voice was airy. "Don't touch me. I have to take the bus. Leave me alone.” Mina eventually pulled herself away from Sana’s hand and entered the bus but Sana was still following her. “What are you doing here? What about your car?” Some people were occasionally bumping into Sana and Mina as they were being squeezed at the back. Sana shook her head firmly and sat beside Mina. “It doesn't matter. We just need to talk.” Mina suddenly became nervous because of the weird aura Sana’s been showing. “I don’t want neither your pity nor your sermon.” “Mina,” She started calmly, “I know you’re just doing me a favor but you have to acknowledge all my efforts.” Mina continued staring at the window not daring to look in Sana’s eyes. “I don’t want to do this anymore. I’m getting tired.” “There’s a lot of women out there. Just be patient.” She whipped her head and glared at Sana. “Do you think I’m desperate? Love isn’t only that kind of thing.” “It’s not what I meant. I just want to help you.” Mina immediately tore her eyes away from me. She couldn’t deny Sana’s eyes were consoling but it made her something alien inside.   “I don’t want your pity.” Mina repeated. "You know what's the problem? You don't want to let people in your life. You're too afraid to let them in because yo
