Sana’s starting to think being a wingman was a bad idea. But knew she needed this. She’s halfway on contacting half of her former College mates, and thanks to the yearbook which she thought of burning years ago, she still had contacts. “Yes, yes. She can dance. She did ballet for 11 years.” Sana slumped on the floor and drummed her fingers on her cheek. “Cook? Maybe? Uhmm, piano? guitar? drums? cartwheel? An Arabian double front flip?! Play a pipa?!” Sana repeated the questions Chanmi’s bombarding her with. What the hell even is an Arabian double front flip? “Aghh. I don’t ing know! Are you going to hire her for a circus or some talent show?” Sana said dubiously. “It’s a blind date for goodness sake! Just get to know her!” Sana panted for a moment before screaming and ending the call, “Perfection your face. All you can do is dance and you're looking for a partner a thousand times better than you? If I didn’t let you copy you’d never pass College! Forget it.” Enough. Too many demands. Next call. At last, after the third ring, the receiver answered. “Hi, who’s this?” “Dahyun!” Her voice brightening immediately. “Who’s this?” She repeated. Now, filled with authority and impatience. “It’s me, Sana.” There’s a short silence. “What do you want?” Sana swallowed all the crap she’s been doing as Dahyun’s voice sounded irritated. “It’s been a long time, how you’ve been?” She could practically hear Dahyun grimacing through the telephone. “Cut it off. You only call when you need something. What do you need?” A moment of silence for my poor soul and pride. “Technically, I have this friend who’s single. She’s an amazing girl. Beyond that if you get to know her—“ “Are you blatantly pimping me away?” “It’s not how it—“ “After all these years you’ll call me one fine day and then what, ask me to go on a blind date or something?” “Listen—“ “Do you think you could just break a girl’s heart and then ask for a favor after several years?” “Just let me—“ “I’m already married." Oh. Sana didn't respond. "Surprised?" said Dahyun. "I’m sure you didn’t even know. You never cared.” Her tone was in a mockery, but with a glint of hurt.  “With whom?” “Who else would it be?” Youngjae. Of course it has to be him. Dahyun’s parents have arranged a marriage for her when they knew Dahyun was dating a girl. Sana didn’t know what to feel. “Congratulations?” Then the line went dead. Sana couldn’t blame Dahyun for shunning her away. Dahyun’s her first love and she’s been vocal to Sana on how she really feels. However, Sana was occupied with immaturity and wander lost back then. Dahyun wanted to run away with her and Sana didn’t fight for her. Deep within, Sana knew it was just her first love—not her great love—and she’s always been sorry for Dahyun. Sana marked an ‘x’ on Dahyun’s picture by the yearbook. She looked through her yearbook once again, the other pictures accompanied with a reminder that they’re: abroad, demanding, unavailable, can’t be reached, in a relationship, straight, doesn’t fancy blind dates. And now, married has been added in the list. -- Mina went about what to choose on wearing a dress or jeans. “Just go where you’re comfortable at the most.” said Jihyo, lazily waiting by the door. She decided to wear jeans instead, since the date wasn’t really that formal. She mentally reminded herself not to mistaken someone else again as her date basically because it equals mess judging on how the blonde made it seem to be. Mina hurriedly wore her clothes when she heard the doorbell rang. Finally, she used the doorbell instead of knocking. She wasn’t supposed to be hurrying if Sana weren’t three hours late. (Because she changed into her house clothes and took a nap when Sana texted her an errand came up. As if.) -- She was staring at the floor shrouded in the other girl’s voice. “Sana Minatozaki, Mina’s female wingman, it’s nice to finally meet you.” Her voice is familiar. “Likewise.” replied Sana. “Your voice sounds vaguely familiar. Have we met?” It didn’t take too long to register in her that it was Mina’s cousin she talked to other day. After that day, Jihyo was consistent on texting that Sana had to change her sim card to get rid of her. Sana’s back straightened as she felt the tension surfac
