Sana, with a phone in hand, can’t help but grin under the duvet of her bed as she was now talking to Mina’s cousin. It was not a bad idea saving any contacts from the other girl’s phone after all. After all the small flirting, Sana dived in her real motive. “What kind of person interests your cousin?” “Oh, Sungjin?” “No. Your closest cousin.” “Mina?” Bingo. “Yeah, whatever her name is.” “Hmm now that I think about it… she doesn’t really have such specifications, but as for me,” Sana silently tapped on the headboard as she waited. “A person who’s refined and bright.” “Aha..” “… and reliable.” “Of course.” “My friend is the type of person who always go by the book, but when she’d reached the peak of exponential exhaustion or exasperation she forgot things. Even the basic things.”
So that explains the abandoned phone and the unlocked door. Damn. That’s perilous. What if some real thief actually came in Mina’s house one night? Sana quaked and washed all pessimistic thoughts running in her head. “Your friend needs a babysitter.” There’s a laugh on the other line. “Those moments rarely happen though.” “How do you know your friend’s in love?” “Why are you asking?” “I wanted to get to know the people around you.” When she heard a muffled squeal on the other line she knew Jihyo believed her. “It’s a ‘lil silly and hilarious.” “Why?” “She hiccups.” “Pardon?” “When she hiccupped, it’s a cue that she’s in love.” “Normally you could see it in their eyes or they become protective, clumsy, nervous.. whatsoever.. but seriously, a hiccup?” “She’s not normally showy so we get no sign if she’s in love. Good thing, she invented hiccup as her love indicator.” Finally, a trump card. Sana noted all what Jihyo’s been saying in her mind.   “Tell me more about your dearest friend,” “We’ve been going about my cousin for the whole time, aren’t you going to ask about me?” “Your cousin is a part of you. I shall know her.” It was a lame excuse, she knew. Jihyo bought it anyways. Now all Sana has to do is find someone for Mina. -- Mina jotted away from her room only to see Jihyo giggling and grinning like a dazed teenager in love. She invited Jihyo in her place since she knew she can’t eat the delicacies Sana had brought for her alone as they were too many. After eating breakfast, she was now sitting on the sofa playing games in her phone. Mina didn’t even notice Jihyo was done talking to someone on her phone until she called out for her. She couldn’t understand how some people talk with someone they barely know and invest their time on them. After that one horrendous blind date, she’s sure she’d never engage herself in it again. “Mina, I think I found the one.” Mina continued playing on her phone, not even looking up to Jihyo, and rolled her eyes. “You always say that. Give me a break.” “I’m dead serious. She even wanted to get to kn
