Children of the Night
Mijoo & YeinYein eventually regains consciousness and the first thing she sees is Mijoo sitting beside her, presumably watching over her until she had awoken. Lee Mijoo, her partner. The first thing she remembers is the fur, the fur as white as pale moonlight, that had been sitting underneath Mijoo's thin human skin. So the first thing Yein does after waking up is press the muzzle of her revolver against the underside of Mijoo's jaw, positioned at a convenient angle to blow the woman's brains out if she deemed it necessary. Mijoo doesn't flinch, not even at the sensation of the cold, threatening metal being pushed into her skin. Lee Mijoo, a monster. Yein's very own partner, a monster all this time.
"Explain yourself. Immediately." Yein demands, her eyes cold yet afraid. Mijoo can feel the slight tremble in Yein's usually steady arm, which travels down her slender fingers to the very tip of her weapon. The only conscious movement Yein allows is the muzzle of her revolver digging deeper into Mijoo's flesh, lining up against the inner part of her mandible. Mijoo remains calm through it all. "That's impossible. Your fur was white; I remember that clearly. I've heard of white werewolves. There's no way they can take human form."
Mijoo shrugs, nonchalant. "I guess I'm special then."
A frustrated Yein grits her teeth and s her revolver harshly into Mijoo's jaw, causing the other woman to tilt her head along with it. "You're a monster all the same. I kill monsters indiscriminately. I should kill you. Right here and right now."
Mijoo stares right into Yein's eyes, the dark brown orbs that are half angry and half terrified. "Do it if you must. I won't stop you."
Mijoo sits there, perfectly still and relaxed as Yein maintains the power to end her life, quickly and easily. She never breaks her gaze away from her eyes, choosing to watch her own death in the reflection of Yein's shaking pupils. Yein's thumb comes down on the hammer, aligning and securing the cylinder with the chamber. Her
