Yein only wanted a chance to confess to Mijoo, to let the older girl know how she had developed romantic feelings for her over the course of time they'd spent together as groupmates. That was it, but that desired chance alone already seemed like too much to ask for. The youngest member of Lovelyz spent several months preparing for this surely life-changing moment, steeling herself for the possible consequences of her actions until she knew that she was ready for anything. However, she didn't expect any of this to take several more months (and ongoing) to carry out. Her attempts to confess culminated into something resembling more of a process than a single action...

Because Mijoo manages to interrupt Yein before she could tell her anything remotely meaningful.

Yein doesn't know how it plays out so impeccably, but she practically relives the same moment over and over again.

1. They're alone together.

"We'll be right back, you two stay in the van for now."

"Okay."

"Got it."

2. Yein calms herself down and mentally prepares herself until she feels confident enough to begin her confession speech.

"Mijoo unnie?"

"Yeah?"

"I have something very important that I need to - "

3. Mijoo interrupts, and the situation continuously spirals downward.

"Is there anything stuck in my teeth?" Mijoo questions, flashing said set of teeth to the younger girl in front of her.

Yein pauses to take a closer look and carefully examine each row. "No, there isn't. But - "

"I swear, there's something in there. I can feel it, but I just can't get to it." Mijoo wriggles her tongue around in , but to no avail. "Damn it, it's really bothering me. I can't even..." There is no way that she is going to listen to anything Yein would say now.

She sighs. "...open your mouth and hold still. I'll see if I can get it with my fingernail."

"Thanks."

4. Confession postponed indefinitely.

"Hey, can I tell you something?" Yein asks as they sit on the floor of Mijoo's shared room with Jiae, searching up different do-it-yourself fingernail designs.

Mijoo is staring at the screen of her phone, but Yein knows that she's listening to her, at least. She can't afford to be picky about the 'perfect moment' anymore. She's running out of patience. "Go for it."

Yein opens to say those lines that she's rehearsed since forever, but before she could utter a single word, Mijoo lets out a shrill shriek. Yein flinches.
