Gilded Lies
Description
Yoongi was never a doting boyfriend. He was distant, even cold at times, but those warm moments were what made her stay. He would leave her waiting for him at midnight, but when he did come back he would apologize. She convinced herself he was worth it. Really, she didn't want to admit she was wrong about him. At the same time, he was never loving, but never let her go. A relationship built on gilded lies is cursed only to fall apart.

Foreword
"You're too proud to say that you've made a mistake
You're a coward 'til the end

Why don't we just pretend?"
"For Christ's sake, Yoongi, can't you just look at me?" She yelled at his back. "For once in your god damn life can you just look at me? I'm tired of you looking through me or turning your back. Face me like a man, you coward."
She watched his back carefully, hoping for any sign of him turning around or reacting or something. That's all she wanted from him, for him to do something, anything. He was always absent, always late. She just wanted to feel like he loved-- no, all she wanted was for him to feel towards her. It didn't matter what he felt, she just wanted to know that to some fraction of a capacity she meant something to him.
"Go to bed, " he said nonchalantly, finally picking up his feet to walk towards the door.
"Coward!" She screamed, throwing her keys at the door as it closed on any hopes of them reconciling.
