What Is Wrong With Me?
Be There For YouIn Mark's Point Of View
It was my first day in the school that I just transferred in. Although I think that I will do fine and mix around well, but I am still nervous about meeting everyone, I'm not sure if Korean students will like my type of character and the way I look or not. I have always been quite proud of my looks, but... Well, Koreans may have a different preference in taste, so what if they ostracize me and I have no friends? Wait what? We are here outside at the classroom already? So fast? But I am still not ready yet!
"So Mark, are you ready to meet your new friends?" The teacher asked me with a smile.
"No--I mean yes. Yes I am ready." I nodded with confidence, trying not to show how nervous I actually am. I guess the teacher actually sensed it, so she said reassuringly with a laugh," Don't worry, the class will love you." Just when I was still wondering what she meant by that, she had already walked in and started to introduce me. I could hear her from outside the classroom: "Good Morning class. Today, we have a new classmate with us today who has just transfered to our class. Now I would like for all of you to put your hands together to welcome our very new classmate, Mark." After hearing everyone clap, I let out a sigh, calmed myself down and walked in briskly with confidence.
"Hi everyone, I am Mark Tuan from Los Angeles, but I am actually Taiwanese and can speak English, Mandarin and Korean. I'm new and I look forward to making lots of new friends here." I ended off with a wink. I saw many of the girls whispering "awwwwww" to one another and almost all the guys glaring at me as if they want to eat me alive. Well, at least now I'm assured on making new friends with, well, girls I guess. No longer feeling as nervous, I try to act friendly (well I am friendly) and put on one of my best smiles. The teacher then started talking again.
"Mark, now please go sit beside Momo. She will be your tablemate and your guide to tour you around the school and take care of you for this week when you are still unfamiliar with the school and class." She pointed at a girl with straight, silky blonde hair for me to see. She was...beautiful... Her eyes were big and sparkled as she was shocked when the teacher announced that, and her skin was flawless and fair. Although she was sitting down, but I could tell that she had a really good figure too, and overall she was just...pretty. "Mark, why are you still standing here?" The teacher's voice brought me back to earth. I nodded, letting her know that I'm going to sit dow
