【Myungsoo POV】

My life isn't so easy. It's a horrible, busy, and it . My parents kicked me out of the house, because I shop lifted, ditched school, and did things I should have never did. But I was once a happy guy. Because of that one girl. She was my everything, she was my girl, Sunhee. But that one day, that one day I wasn't there for her.

"Let me see my girlfriend!" I said pushing my way through the crowd.

"Mr. Kim, I'm sorry. She past away on her way here. We're sorry we couldn't save her."

My knees went numb, "She pasted a-away?"

"Her parents found pills in her hand when they called us."

I sobbed, I loved her so much. But now she was gone...forever.

I tried pulling myself back to real life.

"I miss you so much. Why'd you do this to me? Why did you leave me?"

【Back to Eunmi's POV】

I went on my daily jog, gosh. It was cold this morning, huhu.

I walked past Myungsoo's house, "Maybe, just maybe, He's normal."

"Yah, I heard that!"

Then I see Myungsoo walking behind me, "You jog too?"

"Yeah, it gets my mind off some things."

"Some things? Like what?"

Myungsoo quickly shook his head, "Nothing."

"As I said before, whenever you say nothing, it's something."

He sighed.

"You could tell me, we're friends. Right?" I poked his arm.

I turned to look at him, it was the first time he looked at me with soft, comforting eyes.

He soften, "I guess. But you promise not to tell?"

I nodded and added, "Pinky promise."

I swear, I heard him laugh. Like he was happy again.

"Okay, pinky promise." Then he intertwined his pinky with mine.

"Now tell me."

Myungsoo smiled a little, "It's a long story, so let's walk?"

"You start, I'll follow."

We both started to walk, that's when I felt like we were getting closer.

Then Myungsoo started, "Well, the only reason I became your neighbor was because my parents kicked me out and I had no place to stay. But my cousin is paying rent for this house."

"But why did you get kicked out?"

"Eunmi, I wasn't a kid that my parents wanted. They wanted me to be well behaved, well mannered, well educated. As you can see, I'm not. I did stuff I wasn't supposed to, that's why my past girlfriend d....died."

I paused, "Myungsoo, you don't have to tell me this if this gets too personal."

"No no, it's okay. I feel more better talking my problems out."

"Sorry to ask this, but how did she die?"

"She took pills and was overdosed. All because I changed, it was all my fault."

"Myungsoo, it wasn't your fault. You learn from your mistakes and move on."

"But how am I supposed to move on when I still love her!" His voice rose.

I flinched, "You can't just love her without her here. You're heart will ache even more, she'll still be watching over you."

Myungsoo stayed silent for a while, "Sorry, sorry for raising my voice on you."

"Aniya, it's okay. It scared me a bit, but it's okay."

I looked over at him, he was a complete mess. I just wanted him to cheer up.

He started tearing, "Thanks Eunmi, thanks a lot." Then he sobbed into my shoulder.

I patted his back, "Yeah, no problem. That's what friends are for."

We walked back to our houses. It was silent the whole way back, but I definitely got to know Myungsoo better.

"Eunmi, could I ask you a question?"

I turned to him, "You just did."

"Aish, so can I?"

"Of course, what is it?" I let out a small laugh.

"Have you been heart broken?"

I thought for a moment, "No, because I never fell in love before." I said looking away.

He softened, "Never, in your life."

"I've never had a person that I'd express my feelings too. I'm that type of girl who doesn't fall hard."

He chuckled, "That girl who doesn't fall hard? But if you ever fall hard, I'll be there to catch you." He then winked.

I laughed, "That was the cheesiest thing I've ever heard."

"Okay, miss crybaby."

I covered my ears, "What did you say?"

"Aish, this girl." Then he put his jacket around my shoulders.

"Don't you need your jacket?"

He smiled, "But I want you to be warm."

"Don't worry about me, here." I was about to give him his jacket, but then he stopped me.

"Eunmi, don't be stubborn."

I softened and did what I was told.

Myungsoo walked me up to my door, "Here's your jacket."

"Thanks."

"No problem, you probably wanted it back anyway."

"No, thanks for today. You solved my problem I've never got over."

Then he leaned in to kiss my cheek. I was shocked, but I felt happy inside.

He smirked a bit, "Are you blushing?"

"No. Why do you think that?!" I said, quickly covering my cheeks.

He chuckled then patted my head, "Goodnight Eunmi."

"Goodnight Myungsoo."

Myungsoo walked back to his front door, "Goodnight neighbor." I said, loud enough for him to hear.

"Goodnight friend."
