Chapter 3: Don't Talk to Strangers
7 Life-Saving Tips
“I want some chips.”
“I want some ice cream.”
Yoonseo and Daehyun looked at one another. They knew neither of them would budge.
“Let’s rock, paper, scissors.” Daehyun offers. “That’s fair.”
“I’m not playing that with you.” Yoonseo was quick to reject it. For some reason, she would always lose and of course, Daehyun knew. He knew so he proposed the idea.
“Then, I guess no ice cream for you then.” He casually says before going back to lounging on her bed.
“Fine.” She turns back to the movie that was playing on her laptop yet…her craving refused to subside. “…Best two out of three.”
“Deal.” He cheerfully exclaimed before sitting upright.
May luck be on her side.

“Daehyun, stop rushing me.” Yoonseo spoke into the phone while glancing down the aisles until she found what she was looking for. “Yes, I’m looking for your snacks right now.” Lifting the bag of chips off the shelf, she placed it into the basket she was carrying on her forearm.
How does she manage to lose rock, paper, scissors every single time? At this rate, she might as well run all the errands – it seems to always end that way anyway.
Grabbing the last of the things on the list, Yoonseo walked up to the cash register and the person behind the counter began cashing her out.
While waiting for her purchases to be bagged, a few men walked into the convenience store, the bell ringing to notify the new guests.
“Yongguk, are you buying today?”
“Why do you always make me pay?”
The voices rung out from behind her as her eyes were busy wandering the candy shelves.
“Miss.” The worker called out.
Hearing how much she owed, she quickly handed over some bills before taking the plastic bags into her hands.
Walking outside, she begins cursing at Daehyun in her head. Of course he would still make her come here even in the dead of night. Wonderful friend, really.
Well, since she was stuck in the situation, might as well hurry and get back.
“You shouldn’t be walking around so late.”
The sudden voice coming from beside her startles her. She looked to the right and found a young man staring back at her. “That’s why I’m rushing home.” She hurried her footsteps but he was quick to match her pace.
“Should I accompany you?”
“I really shouldn’t speak to strangers.” Yoonseo casually responds and faces front once more.
“How old are you? Are you still a child?” He chuckled before holding onto her arm, forcing her to come to a stop.
With widened eyes, she stares at him and points down at the grip he had on her. “Please let go.”
“You’re not being friendly.” He joked.
“I don’t want to be, I just want to get home.” Yoonseo tugged her arm but he refused to release his hold.
“How fun can home be?”
“A lot of fun.” She pressed her lips together and pulled harder.
“Come on –“
“I don’t talk to strangers!” Yoonseo ends up screaming, shocking the young man in front of her and hopefu
