"Oppa! Oppa!" 

I looked back and saw Hani running towards me. 

"Wae?" I asked her. School already ended but we do not usually go home together because I play basketball with my friends after school.

"Oppa, I will come with you." She said happily as she dragged me to the basketball court.

"I will wait for you here so just play all you want. Huh?" She said as she sit in one of the bleachers. 

Though it seems very weird, I still left and play basketball with my friends. But her sudden change of attitude bugs me.

"What the hell is wrong this time?" I mumbled to myself. Glancing to her while dribbling. Because I am out of focus, the ball got stolen to me. I saw how her face lit up and her eyes followed the movement of my friend JaeSuk who stole the ball.

"What the!" I muttered loudly and march up to her.

"We are leaving." I said the moment I reached her.

She looked surprised and sad.

"Why? You are in the middle of the game oppa." She said as I picked up my things and her things.

"Just follow me." I said sternly and she didn't react.

"Lee Hani. I said we are leaving." I said loudly.

She shook her head.

"Lee Hani." I shouted.

"I like him." She said with her head bowed down.

"What?" I asked. Bewildered.

"I said I like him." She said. This time, meeting my eyes.

"JaeSuk oppa. I like him." She said softly.

"Let's talk at home." I said sternly and dragged her. She didn't resist this time.

AT HOME

"Tell me again. What you said earlier, is it true?" I asked the moment we arrived at home. Good thing our parents are still in the shop and no one can hear us talking.

"Deh." She said softly. Head bowed.

"Yah! You are still too young to like someone. You are just 11 years old." I shouted.

"I know oppa." She said crying.

"Stop crying!" I shouted again and she silently sobbed.

"From now on, I will not allow you to come with me whenever I am meeting my friends." I announced. She looked at me sadly and nodded.

"Can I rest now?" She asked weakly.

"Go. Sleep." I told her.

As soon as she left, I sat down the chair and closed my eyes.

I knew this day would come.

That I won't be her only oppa.

That she may like other guys like me.

But I didn't expect it to be any sooner.

I like her to be happy. And I don't want her to be hurt.

Truth be told, I am fine that she likes someone. But not JaeSuk.

My friend is a good guy, but he has someone special.

And I know he likes her so much.

Hani liking JaeSuk will probably end up with a one sided love.

I don't want my sister to go through that pain.

It is fine for her to hate me.

At least, I could spare her from a heartache.

I love her and I am willing to be the evil one.

Just so she could be safe.

I walk to her room after a while. With a bar of chocolate in one hand, I her hair gently. Not wanting to wake her up.

"Hani-yah, oppa nomu mianhe. I do not want you to get hurt. JaeSukie is not the one for you. I do not expect you to understand my intentions. But I hope you will not hate me much. Saranghanda dongsaeng-ah." I said and left the chocolate on her table.
