Jiyong saw the smile on his face through the reflection on his phone before he felt it as he read the last reply from Tiffany. She really liked to , that was for sure. And he wasn’t even really kidding about the sushi—he really was craving some right about now.

“What’re you smiling about over there?” Youngbae asked lightly, looking at him bemused.

Immediately, the smile melted to an indifferent line. “What? I’m not smiling. Smiling’s too much effort when I’m this tired.” He stretched his arms and let out a groan as his joints popped to emphasize his point.

But Youngbae just shook his head with a raised eyebrow. “…Right.”

Jiyong looked away at that, lips pursing in slight annoyance; why even try with him, really?

“Were you talking to Kiko? Are you guys finally talking to each other?” he questioned, tone deceptively light, but anyone could’ve deciphered the blatant curiosity and concern underneath.
